Crop tool selection Rectangle blinks

I use PS CS5 on a Macaith snow leopard on a MacBook Pro with 4 GB of ram.  When I make a selection with the crop tool to crop an image, the framing box flashes (flushes of heat, legumes, etc.).  Usually, I use Aperture 3 and Mail behind her. This is how his work suppode, a bug or may simply not find a way to turn off the flashing?

Thank you

Peter

Probably something funny happens with OpenGL support.

You can try to disable OpenGL drawing in preferences in Photoshop or Aperture to stop smoking and see if those who make the problem disappear.

  • Problem tool selection Rectangle - 'market ants' selection disappear

    Hello Photoshop community,

Recently, I have a few problems in PS CC with the selection Rectangle (m) tool. When I make a selection and then I change the size of the view, zoom in or out, or even when I pan the view moving from left to right, the selection ants disappear. When I deselect and then reselect the selection the selection becomes visible. This problem is actually a simple, but the fact that I don't see often the choice is very annoying. I hope someone can help me with this problem.

  • Crop tool question

Hi, I have a small question which I can not find the answer too. I am looking for the help PS system with no luck. I use PS basic tools for editing images of product here at work. Basically, everything I do is crop, resize, adjust the contrast/brightness and so on.

Usually when the cropping of the images I use the crop tool, select the area I want recorded, then press enter and everything outside the boundaries of drop is cropped away. Yesterday, I noticed that when I click on the tool button crop, and then drag my cursor around the product and press ENTER, everything disappears, except a small dot, my background color. Well, when I say at bottom, I mean if I take the picture of the product on a brown background, the color of pixels are few remaining same Brown. But NO picture at all on the subject. As far as I know, has not intentionally change the crop tool settings, but something has changed and I can't understand how to restore the original settings. I hope that someone can not help. Thanks in advance!

Clear the fields in the Options box when you use the crop tool.  Looks like you typed something in the width, height, or resolution fields and he calls the resizing behavior of the crop tool.

The easiest way is to press this button:

  • My crop tool is UN-freakin-usable.

My crop tool still shows the choice of rounded arrows that you all know, allows to crop photos in unorthodox shapes.

How can I remove this option? I'm pulling out my hair. I tried the Google search, but the sites I visited only list the way to get this option, don't disable it not so appear as a feature of the 'permanent '. I tried clicking everywhere, by pressing the ctrl/alt/shift keys to no effect. Perhaps, I am simply not clicking on the right place or something?

Using Photoshop 7.0, although I doubt disabling method, it has changed over the years.

    Thank you very much.

You can try to reset the cropping tool.

  • Select the crop tool, and then select a ratio (based on the name of the file)

I have a lot of files that when I their culture that they need a specific report. Currently, they are stored in the tool.

I wish I could make a shortcut so that it selects the crop tool and the report to the file name. I can understand the file name information.

    i.e. Fr10 = a 2:3 Ratio

    or

    20 = 3:4

There is no need to crop the image simply select the tool.

  • How to use the crop tool without losing pixels?

    5616 x 3774 / res 72, is what CS5 says my Canon 5 d 2 large jpeg is off camera.

Can I use the harvest too to make a picture of 20 "x 24" and keep all or most of these pixels? "

    Leave the area blank resolution?

The lab I send the file to print, said they want 300 res files (just to complicate the thing a little more)

    Thank you!

To tell the truth I do not use the crop tool. I use the selection Rectangle, crop image tool and the size of the image.  If you use the crop tool and fill a field of resolution in the crop tool crop tool makes all three operations including the harvest to the resolution that you have entered the resampling. Adobe also gave the crop tool implemented in CS6 that a lot in my arms. Don't mind at all.

IMO if you use harvest its best tool to fill the field of the resolution. In this way the harvest will not resample.  You can enter height 24 20 width or height width 6 5 in fact the same proportions as it is 12:10

After you do the crop you can use the size of the Image. In the dialog box uncheck resample set the width for printing on 24. You'll see Photoshop set a height 20 and set the resolution to a certain value. If the fall of DPI value below what you want check resample together in the desired resolution and interpolation method to use and then click OK.

  • How can I fix the problem of odd crop tool?

I have PS CS3 and you have encountered a weird problem with my tool of truncation. When I get a document using the custom crop tool, it ignores the 'limits', I created and instantly reduced my canvas 1 x 1 px!

    Any ideas what's happening?

Currently, my solution to "bypass" is to use the Rectangle tool to make a selection of the region I want to crop and then I'm going to "Image > Crop.

Not extremely critical, but it would be nice to just hit 'C', select the cropped area and press 'Enter' again!

    Thanks if you can help.

With the selected crop tool, take a look at the top bar, there is a place to enter an amount, if anything does not appear in these boxes of size, press the clear button to reset. Then try crop again.

  • CROP tool? On Acrobat Reader DC 2015

Hello! I'm trying to crop PDF figures to minimize white-rhythm by the terms of a research journal submission. I can't find the tool, even when I followed the instructions online. I have the latest version of the crop tool has been removed? Or where is it hidden?

My version features two main tabs: 'Home' and 'tools '. I can't see harvest in the tab 'Tools', only other supplements essentially ask I improve and begin to pay every month. It has a little search directory and 'culture' of the results of 0 hits.

So when I go to 'View' and select 'Tools', I only have the option 'Commentary' and 'fill & Sign '.

He was never a crop tool in Acrobat Reader or Adobe Reader, any version. When we look to control the software mentioned carefully: if it mentions the crop tool on Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Standard, or Acrobat just tonight. But no drive. It is only paid for the software.

  • Why crop tool is my black screen?

For the past 10 years or so to use Photoshop, when I activate the crop tool, I am able to see the picture while I'm cropping, which is of course as it should.

Then I reinstalled PS a few months ago and ever since that date, more often than otherwise, when I activate the crop tool it blackens the entire screen so I have to guess how I'm trying to trim.  but sometimes the crop tool will work properly and I would like to see the image that I am cropping cropping!  Crazy, right?

  • Automatically detect orientation using the crop tool

Hello, according to my knowledge the crop tool in CS6 automatically detect whether the image was a picture of format portrait or landscape photo format. I now use the trial of CC, but in this version, I can't find this option. When I now open a portrait-format photo cropping tool remembers the last harvest-setting. If it was a portrait-ratio is not a problem, but when I cropped photo landscape format I have to manually change the orientation from landscape to portrait.

Anyone who can help me with this? Or has this feature disappearted in CC?

Note that in your Options Panel in the upper part, you have 3:2 (4:6). To the left of that, right click on the crop tool icon and select Reset tool as in the screenshot, I sent earlier. This will change the options of the report tool that you see in my screenshot.

Once you have reset the cropping tool, send a new screenshot of the Options Panel.
