crossing a mixture with a compound shape

Hello

I tried to spread the mixture at the intersection of row groups. I tried at the point of intersection of the lines and one of the birds after the release of

the compound path.   Erything disappear.

If you want to fill the transparent path with this mixture and then spread the mixture and make a shade and fill the path with a shade.

    Try this

    copy the original form, he can have the filling of model

    paste it in front of the original

    redefine the form so that the areas that will be 100% opaque at the edge to newly define the path

    (except where the line side defines the edge of the form do not redefine unless it fades here as well.)

    give the original opacity of 0%

    then select the original and her newly define the shape and make a mixture by specifying a large number of steps like 60 steps.

    You get this

    You start there, after giving the original shape) % opacity.

  • Cut by the compound shape changes the first form of compound?

    I use Illustrator CS3 on Mac 10.5.8.

    I am creating a form composed from a compound shape, that I have prepared.

    Img1.jpg

    The first part works fine. Can I combine the form hexagonal-compound - I created from multiple forms of hexagon.

    I then want to cut the edges on a part of the shape composed (using a box of 4 rectangles), which is supposed to give me a rectangle containing only the lines of the shape in is spent inside this rectangle (image 1).

    But when I cut my Hexagon-compound-form all about box (using the Pathfinder window), the hexagonal shape of the complex inside behaves strangely, with just lines showing and others missing lines (picture 2).

    Img2_2.jpg

    I want to just cut the lines that cover the rectangles, rectangles and leave behind the lines in my Hexagon compound form, as they appear in frame 1 and not have hexagonal hollow-compound-shape changing which lines appear and disappear.

    Yes.  No problem.

    [EDIT]  I decided to qualify that.  No problem with forms that come standard with Photoshop, but just about every logo, symbol of the brand, can be downloaded in two vector forms and brush presets.  It would be another story, obviously if you have used this kind of work, but you knew I'm sure.

    Trying to shape interpolation using psd layers, but nothing seems to happen. I tried the same method using shapes drawn with the tools (shape tweening) flash square a circle, etc. and it works fine. So what I did both times was

    1. Import psd into flash, and then press F8 and turn it into a clip,
    2. Double-click on the image to open its own chronology (symbol).
    3. Go to edit, then click on "break apart". 4, go to the timeline and add "insert frames" then adds a keyframe or a black keyframe at the end 5, pull the layer image/psd of the library, then separate the image into the key frame.
    4. Then click on to Midway through the images and click on create shape tween.

    It doesn't work like a normal and then suddenly rocking to the keyframe of end with no effect of shape tweening.

    Additional information - using flash cs6

    Anyway, help or direction on it would be a great help. Sorry if that sounds confusing! I'm still learning how to use this software.

    Heres a .fla download with my attempt http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=00520322655672423744

    It does not work because you cannot have a shape tween a psd layer that would be a bitmap actually. Shape tween only works with vectors and even in this case vectors only made in Flash unless you 'break' the art through control B

  • Detection of colliding with the grouped shapes

    Hello world.
    I'm having a problem with collision detection.
    I do an underwater game where the submarines are groups of shapes (two ellipses and two small rectangles).
    I use a circle (IARC) object for the missiles.

    It detects collisions when I do this:
    //////////////////////////////////////////////////
    If (circ.intersects (sub.getBoundsInLocal ()))
    {
    System.out.println ("you been touched");
    Returns true;
    }
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////

    Or it detects collision if I do:
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////
    If (sub.getChildren () .get (2) .intersects (circ.getBoundsInLocal ()))
    {
    System.out.println ("you been touched");
    Returns true;
    }
    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    (the child in the 2 index is the main body of the Sub - ellipse shape)

    If I add an object not grouped as a simple rectangle shape and check the collisions on it then it detects very well. 'r' is the rectangle object.
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    If (circ.intersects (r.getBoundsInLocal ()))
    {
    System.out.println ("you hit sucker");
    Returns true;
    }
    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    Can we see why it will not work with the grouped shapes or a child of the Group? Or y at - it a simpler way that I'm missing?

    Thanks a lot :)

    For a group shape, use the boundsInParent property.

        circ.intersects(sub.getBoundsInParent())

  • Modify a compound shape

    Hello, I don't understand point 3 in aid of illustrator
    When I click on a different Mode on the Pathfinder Panel form button I get an error
    Can you help me?

    Modify a compound shape

    1. Use the direct Selection tool or layers panel to select an individual component of the compound shape.
    2. Search Mode button shape highlighted in the Panel Pathfinder to identify what mode is currently applied to a selected component.
      Note: If you have selected two or more of the components that use different modes, question marks appear on the shape Mode buttons.
    3. In the Pathfinder Panel, click a different shape Mode button.

    OK - it's the same whether I had in my experiences. So you just press the ALT key while clicking on the pathfinder button.

  • Make a group of clipping with a compound path

    So, as of today, I am new to scripting for Illustrator, I use the ExtendScript Toolkit. However, I am not new to my own script solutions and I do not have any experience with JavaScript.

    What I'm trying to do is the following: for all selected items-> duplicate selected item and make a group of simple clipping with it

    What I'm left with visually does not change the picture, but gives me a lot of clipped colored areas that I then can I change in isolated mode, which allows me good shading faster and better. That the doing by hand takes hours on some pictures, it would take a second with a script.

    The script itself is already works for normal PathItems. As evident in the title, as soon as I have to apply the same thing to CompundPathItems things stop working. My question is a bit like this old thread [problem with clipping path transparent], but I couldn't find a solution because I get different behavior.

    When I run the same script that works perfectly with the normal PathItems with CompoundPathItems I get this: 9046 error: the top element in the group must be a path element to create a mask

    Well, it's a problem. There is absolutely no difference between making a clipping with a simple path mask and a compound path in the GUI. Frankly reference guide not helped with this problem at all, the only thing that I learned from it is that the CompoundPathItem object is an attribute of cutting, but those included PathItems.

    Here's what I have so far:

    If ([i] selected. TypeName == 'PathItem') {}
    newGroup var = doc.groupItems.add ();
    copy is selected [i] .duplicate (newGroup, ElementPlacement.PLACEATEND);.
    Selected [i] .moveToBeginning (newgroup);
    newGroup.clipped = true;

    }

    As I said, this part is exactly what it is supposed to do for normal paths.

    For CompoundPaths, I use this work around.

    If ([i] selected. TypeName == 'CompoundPathItem') {}
    newGroup var = doc.groupItems.add ();
    copy is selected [i] .duplicate (newGroup, ElementPlacement.PLACEATEND);.
    Selected [i] .moveToBeginning (newgroup);
    compoundItems = selected [i] .pathItems;
    compoundIndex = compoundItems.length;
    for (f = 0; f < compoundIndex; f ++) {compoundItems [f] .clipping = true ;}
    var lineList = new array (10);
    for (l = 0; l < lineList.length; l ++) {lineList [l] = new Array (I * 10 + 50, ((i-5) ^ 2) * 5 + 50) ;}}
    newPath = app.activeDocument.pathItems.add ();
    newPath.setEntirePath (lineList);
    newPath.moveToBeginning (newGroup);
    newGroup.clipped = true;
    newPath.remove ();

    Mind you, this workaround works in so far that it ignores that annoying error and evil and composite clipping path also works with the only problem being that created composite clipping path as it is always displayed in its original colours in the layers section and is always selectable. When I lock the composite clipping path I can work with it, but still...

    So the question is, what am I missing here? Surely, there must be a good way to do this.

    app.executeMenuCommand ()? That is me away so far, might be just the right thing. I will definitely take a look, now just to find a ref about it, because unfortunately official documents Ref I do not mention this command. Any place with a list of possible commands?

    Ah, also of course I only do for the isolation mode. If you care to hear the background, it is here:

    As I said it's for photos of shading, I'm working on. I repeated and tried through a bunch of techniques. For example, gradient mesh on my first few true works. Now these cracks don't do well with complex shapes, which previously I mitigated by using a simple square or rectangle gradient mesh and using the original form as a color clipping mask. It worked, but it was a huge field of work.

    After a lot of attempts that I went to the use of simple gradients as a background for the form, and then I do the shading freehand with the blob Brush tool, using a graphic style and filters to make it look like to the right. Is better, but do it right all the clipping masks takes me much more time than anything else.

    Now the problem is that shading is not supposed to cross the lines, it's impossible to do correctly without messing up the order, either using clipping masks, where the script. Because you know, if you use a form of the task with a strong Gaussian blur near the lines, you'll find yourself with stuff on both sides. If you do not start close to the line that the shading will be not look right if the darker the shade needs to be close to the line. And that's where magic of clipping masks.

    And finally, here's an example of how I work with the script and the result:

    After that I drew a sketch, adjust the line widths and at the neatness I turn the paths to sketch the lines and then turn them into a live paint Group (which would ruin the line widths, unless you put the paths in first contour lines).

    With this live paint group need me a few minutes to color my piece dish. Then I develop the live paint group, in case of doubt, spend a few more minutes to make transparent traces of all regions, I need the shadow in one piece, and then I select all areas and use my script to activate the neat clipping masks. Then I can click on any field, enter the isolation mode, and go up one level, so I'm in the appropriate group, where I can shadow freely without the problem beyond the lines.

    At the end which allows me to apply shading complex and comprehensive, without wasting time to get there.

    PS: well, I just found out that draw inside is really close to what I want to do, and oddly enough, it produces the same Visual discrepancy with transparent traces that produces my script. I'll take a closer look that, while my script is a little more than just the stuff of clipping mask, so maybe I'll go for a hybrid solution. Everything that makes for a better workflow.

  • Logic Pro - mixture with 1 track in the Red?

    HI folks, I'm just learn to mix and have my song sitting close to the way I like it, I kept all not too high and have used EQ on most of the tracks in my mixture to eliminate some UM and stop the instruments to be buried, however I have noticed that one of my main instruments arouses in the red in about 3.5 in the channel strip. I want to know is this a bad thing and it will cause problems when sending to the control?

    My main stereo output track is of approximately - 3db to leave enough margin, but if one of my pieces of lead is in red, it means that the track is cut?

    I tried to reduce it then becomes lost in the mix and tried to reduce all other tracks, but it does not really help. The FX only I have on it are Silververb Reverb and an EQ that does not have the massive peaks or win. I tried to add a compressor but don't know exactly how to help?

    Any help would be great and as always, thanks in advance!

    Red is much too much output, you cannot unclip a track, try adjusting your entries, you can 'tested' red when you blow of eye, but you don't want t keep it there. Play your song and adjust the levels until you just graze red to your strongest part and the rest of the track remains under the brand. Once the game you can save, now play the same thing you just did!

    also consider verb and post recording eq if you have not already, it will give you much more flexibility on the road when you mix, the less sleep you when you save the more effects you can add later, there are exceptions, but when the reverberation of the recording is not your friend, reverb is false whiskers for little boys or heels high MOM for girls to parts of the raw (Stephen King) that You can save and then add it later. You think that Hendrix went into the studio with a wall of effects boxes? That the strung a right-handed Stratocaster was left-handed and a plexi Marshall to have up to 10 with mic's all over the room, and he was wearing baseball cleats! (Eddie Kramer / me, speculating)

    If you have too much UM

    (1) turn on/down an overhead lighting, especially if you use a micro single coil.

    (2) try a different collection or watch in what you can do with what you have (single coil pickups are magnets noise when it comes to ground), some guitars are just dang noisy.

    (3) to adjust the gain of the amplifier, or your effects while it's fun to look like Tony Iommi and Max Cavalera and Brian Hayner to giving birth to a new distortion pedal at the same time, it is difficult to capture without sounding like a giant Bumblebee until you get the hang of recording.

    (4) to consider an external suppressor or see this document

    https://documentation.Apple.com/en/LogicStudio/effects/index.html#Chapter=4%26se ction = 10% 26tasks = true

    (5) a compressor can be used before or after mixing, as all the things you just plug in and walk away.

  • Cross dissolve problems with PP and AE

    I have a huge problem with one aspect of CS4 in transition.  I know that someone has had this experience and will help.  I have CS4 production premium. Here's the order that my problem 1. Import videos from the green screen in PP.  2. I put in the timeline, right-click, select ' replace it with after Composition Effects "3. I am now in AE and I use Keylight 1.2 for inlay green (it works fine) screening.  Instantly, the effects appear in PP and the name of the video is now different from the time line. 4. I want to add a cross dissolve transition between videos and when I do, I get an error that says "insufficient media.  This transition will contain repeated images.  The cross fader now has different lines through it in the timeline panel.    5. I makes and he has some ground to it.  . 6. I close AE and save as directed.  This is a screenshot of the error message and the attached timeline.  Note the different lines of the cross dissolve in the line of two video (handled by AE) and the cross dissolve on the 4 line video which has slides and transitions work fine.  Clearly, something is wrong with the video transition. Help? thxssssssssssssss Barry Rhein

    Prejudice and Bill offered upward the 'what' but not the 'why' is happening in your case and the 'how' care.

    When you run the command 'Replace with AE Comp' on a clip, AE creates a model that is exactly the same duration as the original clip and the clip is important any source in your AE project. When you work in AE, you have all frames before the in point and after the out point of your clip source available. You can drag the front and rear frames, and you always playable frames for the duration of your comp.

    However, is the duration of this model that creates the problem in the body, because the body cannot access EI frameworks that are outside of the length of the model. As the body is concerned, that AE comp is exactly as long as it's - sounds obvious, I realize, but it's a start of video clips how work in the body.

    For example, if you use 5 seconds of 15 second clip in the body and replace the movie clip instance with a model of EI, the duration of this model is 15 seconds. In AE, the whole clip source comes in, and you have 15 seconds to play with. But back in the body, this AE comp is only 5 seconds. This is the reason why you get the error 'media' insufficient when you try to create a transition - it is really not enough media to create this transition.

    To work around this problem, you must make your model any longer in AE. You can change the settings of the composition and duration in AE, but beware: many times this angry body and cause an accident. It doesn't too much when the duration of Dynamic Linked comps are changed. Try, in this spirit.

    Another, perhaps the best option is to just start in the body with handles - hanging out a few additional images to the head and tail of your clip before you replace it with a model of EI. Of course, if you have your clip already edited in a sequence and precisely timed and stacked, it might be hard to do, but just create another, empty track that you can drag your clip forwards you cut out. Send it to AE, and then you can cut out the DL Comp ' ed to adapt in a vacuum you left in the original track. Now, you will find additional images to create your transition.
