  We have a key to upgrade to CS4 and a wedge of CS2, when we install CS4 and trying to turn it on, it recognizes not the CS2 key more because according to an Adobe employee on the live chat, the activation server is down and they are not willing to offer alternatives to activate the software.   I have CS4, but it reached maximum downloads. I don't have old computers to turn it off. I tried to call and the cat and both say they no longer support CS4 and I have to go through the forums.

  I have been using a 30 day trial download from the Adobe DW page. The trial has expired while my purchased DW CS4 was in transit.   If someone else is in the same situation, the problem is likely to be caused by the language options you choose during the installation of the product.

  You need not install older versions in order to get the last update enabled.  During the CS4 activation process, you can specify the eligible previous version (choose the oldest among a list, then enter its serial number).  Choose any one you had just before CS4.

I used Migration Assistant to transfer from the old iMac new iMac and now CS4 not starting, only generates a warning that there is a problem with the license. I tried to Chat, but got no solution.   Completely irrelevant for this reason:

  You just have to reinstall your CS4 correctly.

Only the temporary solution is to uninstall all CS4 and reinstall using my driver's license. Y at - it a known solution? The previous response was to buy a new version of Acrobat.
