  Each device is compatible with a minimum version of camera raw.

  Please check if you have this version of the camera installed which include your raw files.

  It would also be that your photoshop will not have to install this version of camera raw as its very old.

  In this case, you can convert your raw files to DNG and can use it.

  To convert the files to DNG, you must download and install the DNG Converter.

  This is incorrect, you can download ACR 5.7 plug-ins for Photoshop CS4, allowing you to open. Ships of your D90. (ACR = Adobe Camera Raw)

  No need to use the DNG Converter.

  If you have windows, you should be able to find the similar ACR for window 5.7. Google is your friend.

  I would avoid using View NX from Nikon for download your ships. Many people have reported files corrupted when using this method.

  You also mentioned about the lack of icons. Have you tried to use Adobe Bridge?

  All ships have a built-in preview .jpg and bridge can certainly not see these previews.

  You can directly open files NAVE of the bridge in ACR. You just need to first download and install ACR 5.7.

IM Camera RAW 5.6 geht nichts. Meinen Recherchen wird Laut Camera Raw as meine qualitative (7DMII und PS CS4) nicht weiter son. ICH einen Losungsvorschlag erbitte, wie ich zukunftig meine CR2-Dateien aus meiner Kamera mit dem bei Ihnen erworbenen Produkt weiter use kann. Should sharps non function, erbitte ich die Zusendung der-Version of Photoshop free, mit der ich meinen Workflow unverändert weiter paper kann.

  He seems to recognize both version 5.6 and 5.7 of Camera Raw under the system of information and could be the cause.

  Suggest to reinstall Photoshop CS4 and then do the update to camera raw by going to help > check for updates.

  Need you CS5 ACR 6.x to work seamlessly with LR 3.x.

  The way normal works of LR - PS integration is that instead of writing a TIF or PSD and say PS to open it, LR passes the parameters of conversion PS and PS use ACR to open the file so that no intermediate file is necessary.  This transfer of LR to PS via ACR occurs if the file for editing in LR is RAW or TIF or JPG.

  Since you have an older version of PS/ACR, when LR is eager to pass the parameters of conversion for CS4/ACR 5.x and is warning that this old version of ACR will not be able to process all the adjustments that LR has specified.  To get all the treatments of LR in PS, you need to have LR write an intermediary TIF or PSD and then having LR tell PS to open this intermediate file.  It's not ideal due to the addition of temporary file, unless the file is be the format that you want to record off PS time passing the parameters of the conversation to the PS and written an intermediate file should be options when you select Edit in.  If you're not given a choice?  There is a solution if not.

I use a CANON 5 d MARK2 and it installed Adobe Camera Raw 5.0 can not read my RAW files, so I need to install Adobe Camera Raw 5.2 which I do manual... I did it like this:

  I OPENED THE FILE TO DOWNLOAD

  THEN I SEE A WINDOW WITH 3 FOLDERS CONTAINING WIN64-CAMERA RAW-CAMERA PROFILES

  I CLICK CAMERA PROFILES

  THEN POPS UP A DIALOG BOX SAYING: SELECT A DESTINATION AND EXTRACT FILES

  I CLICK EXTRACT, AND THEN OPENS A NEW WINDOW OPEN FILE SECURITY WARNING I THE LANCE AND THEN OPENS ANOTHER WINDOW OF WELCOME TO PROFILES CAMERA INSTALLATION WIZARD I CLICK INSTALL AND THEN ALWAYS POPS UP AN ERROR MESSAGE WINDOW SAYING:

  ERROR OPENING FILE FOR WRITING:

  C DATA ADOBE CAMERA CAMERA RAW ADOBE STANDARD CANON EOS 1000 D ADOBE STANDARD PROFILES. DCP

  Click CANCEL TO STOP the INSTALLATION, so I have TO ABORT IT

  and when I go to C-PROGRAM FILES COMMON FILES ADOBE PLUG INS-CS4-FILE FORMATS and DOUBLE-CLICK on CS4 CAMERA RAW opens with the ERROR MESSAGE COULD NOT COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST BECAUSE IT is NOT THE RIGHT TYPE OF DOCUMENT...?

  I have absolutely no idea of what it could be and I bet that I did something wrong but have no idea what... after 3 days of pure stress I'm about to break and throw this product by my window - I'd appreciate more suggestions/help so I can solve this problem!

  First off, you should be downloading and installation of camera 5.7 Raw which is the latest version of Camera Raw for CS4. Secondly, why you declare that you have to manually install Camera Raw? Last point, you're messing around with "camera profiles" in your message that has ZERO to do with the plug in Camera Raw itself... the profiles are for DNG profiles in the camera calibration tab if you have not installed Camera Raw is questionable.

  To download the 5.7 version go HERE. There are instructions to manually install the profiles and the plug-in Camera Raw.

  You cannot install the latest version of Camera Raw in Photoshop CS4. The latest version of Camera Raw that is compatible with this version of Photoshop is version 5.7. If you need a newer version in order to have the support of a new camera, you will need to upgrade your Photoshop, or even use the DNG Converter free to create DNG copies that are compatible with your version of Camera Raw.
