CS4 video import SD Sony NX5

I can import it, but it looks fuzzy and sweet and should be returned. The video is from Sony NX5 tapeless camera.  It records to SD mpeg2 instead of DV. The sweetness seems to happen during this conversion, the original video looks sharp when you view it in Windows Media Player.

How can I import without making it look sweet?

  • [CS4] video import with xdv8 codec...

Well, I'm on a windows version of pro CS4 first. I'm not very experienced with the software, then it could be surprisingly obvious/simple, or it can really be so hard that I find it. I need to import a video file, currently a .mov. I believe but am not sure that it was made on an Apple with Final Cut Pro. First gives me an error of missing codec.

When I try to play the file in most of my video players, including QuickTime, I get an error of codec missing or not supported (the sound plays generally end, though - just the video is missing). One of my players actually named the codec, I think saying there was an error with the xdv8 codec. So, I did some research on Google and found that mplayer has this codec.

So I download and install the latest mplayer for windows (SMPlayer to be precise) and it plays the video fine. However I can not import this video in first. And the SMPlayer does not offer an export, save, function etc.

I found all the codec that uses SMPlayer .dll files, but have no idea how (if possible) to get first to recognize them... and I don't know who it is, as none of them have xdv8 in the title.

Is it possible to import a codec in first if it is not part of a package of codec?

Anyone know where I can get a package of codec for first installation program that includes codec from xdv8?

Is there another way around this problem?

    Thank you!!!

Download and install WinFF, which is a converter/transcoder built on the FFMPEG libraries. FFMPEG seems to be able to ingest everything I started on it, and WinFF has always done a good job of bizarro file conversion when the situation demands it. You could probably try the preset "DV", which will create a raw DV stream.

    Hello

Lightroom is not able to import my Sony A7s .arw files. Help?

What exact version of LR do you use?  Use the help / System Info and look down.

The A7S requires LR 5.5 or newer.

The A7S II requires LR 6.2 or newer.

Files uncompressed Sony A7xxx cameras require LR 6.2 or perhaps LR 6.3 I believe.

When you install a new version of the items, you are prompted to update the current catalog. Creating a new catalog with the data in the old. The new catalog has the same name as before and can be opened in the new version, the old catalog is unchanged, but renamed with a suffix-1 can be opened in the old version without any intervention on your part.

If you do agree to the conversion prompt, you can do it later from the Catalog Manager; same for the other catalogues.

Just be careful what you do in a catalog are ignored by the other, they cannot be updated by the other. This means that you will need to choose which version of catalog to choose to manage your files.

In addition, I don't see a way to use PSE12 catalogs to edit in the PSE14 Editor.

  • Lightroom: Time to Capture for videos imported from iphoto does not appear in the metadata

Hi, I imported all my photos and videos from iphoto to Lightroom recently with iphoto import plugin.  I think that all my photos have been imported, but I noticed that all my videos have no capture time, while they became grouped in my collections.  But I think that I can still see their capture time in the 'gray' text on each photo.  Why did this happen and how to solve this problem?  I really want my time to capture in video metadata, and I also want to see my videos in chronological order on the right with my videos.   Strangely, the videos imported into Lightroom directly from my camera SD card do not have this problem, don't do that those imported from iphoto.  Thank you!

LR does not correctly manage video metadata in general, and in particular, he often misses capture time.  Sometimes it works: choose a video, make metadata > edit Capture time and then click all change (without actually modifying the corrected time).  If that sets the time of capture at the right time, you can select all the videos of problem, metadata > edit Capture time, and then click all change.   If you have a small number of videos, you can manually fix the capture time to help change the Capture time.

See for more information in the official forum for feedback from Adobe for more details, vote on it and give your opinion: Lightroom: metadata applied to videos in Lightroom is not available in other applications

  • Video importer does not recognize the .wav files

When I click on get the media, then click on files and folders in PE10, then click a .wav file I want to import, I get the pop-up "Please use importing video. The problem is that the video importer only recognizes the video, mpeg2 files for example. The .wav files that I researched before being forced to use the "importer" video is not in the list. It was so easy to import audio files in earlier versions of Premiere Elements. Why the "importer" video should be used if it does not list the common .wav files? The video importer settings can be adjusted, or this application may be avoided? Gee, I don't know why the things that worked well are made more complicated or is no longer can be made.

In addition, please download the appropriate help file or manual user to save? I'm willing to pay for this service that we have already taken for granted. Gee, I've been a loyal fan of Premiere Elements. However, things become useless and obscure. I hope moderators help despite this negativity found mine. I'd think again of a program that I made the praise of many people.

There is no real manual for the program - that's why I wrote my books.

    http://Muvipix.com/pe10.php

But I'm not sure it would help you in this case.

Where is the WAV file? It is on the hard drive of your computer?

You certainly should not use the importer of the video to get the WAV file - assuming that it is not coming from an external device, such as a camcorder or a smartphone or iPad or another similar term.

But if you have problems, try just open Windows Explorer (or Finder on Mac), locate the file and then just by dragging from Windows Explorer WAV file in your media Panel. It should fall right into.

  • Import and editing of AVCHD in CS4 video sequences with a 32-bit Windows computer

I have a question about AVCHD video:

We have some AVCHD (.mts) sequences, we filmed with a Sony HXR-NX30.

Is it possible to import, edit and export (on DVD) this sequence ".mts" with Premiere CS4 in a reasonable quality?

I have a 32-bit windows computer, and want to know before you buy such a video editing program.

    Thank you

    Never found CS4 buggy.

You can import avchd in CS4, but being on a machine 32 bits edition will be slow.

You will have to restore everything in the timeline.
