CS5 reinstallation on new computers... what should I do?

Hi all

I have the version of CS5 Production Premium 64-bit, registered student all installed and up-to-date.

I am looking to build a new computer (well, new motherboard, processor and memory), it means I have to reinstall Windows 7, which will also have everything on my hard drive I guess (a good excuse for an interview, I guess).

In any case, should what steps I take to ensure that I can reinstall my computer on my new CS5 programs?  I think that this is to disable the account on my old computer and then reactivated on my new once it is built and all up and being run, but what is the process?  You want to make sure that I do things! (And legal!)

Is there any point in saving some files of CS5, or is it better to redownload all the programs again (I'm on an open-ended BB account and it would be just the time it takes to download new programs..)  I know, for example with Valve's STEAM system, you can copy a certain file that contains all your game data, place it in the correct folder on your new computer, and this means that he will not have to re - download it again all your games.  Is there something similar for Adobe CS5, or is it better to redownload everything again to make sure there is no conflict with the software on a new computer?

Basically, what is the process I should follow to reinstall CS5 on a new computer, I'm building?

Thank you very much

Dan

Hey there Dan, what you have described is quite the correct procedure for the move or reinstall after a system rebuild or upgrade Adobe CS5...

Regarding backups, the easiest thing is simply to use your disks to reinstall any fees. If you don't have the disks (because you downloaded the software to the place), you should definitely make them for offline backup! (that does not mean that you need to download the software to burn a DVD or both)
