Hi LondonLouise,

The simple way is trash all CS5 applications.

Empty the trash.

  • Bridge CS5 crashes when opening

    Joseph Heller would be proud.

Adobe Bridge, CS5 crashes when starting.  I downloaded Photoshop CS5 Extended, installed on my new MacBook Air (this computer has never seen any product of CSx).  Installed CS5 installed SC4 legacy serial number serial number, all right.  Photoshop works very well.  I installed all my plugins Nik and Bokeh Plugin.  All right.  I tried to launch the bridge, and it crashes during launch "not able to be achieved.  An unknown operating system error has occurred. "Adobe has released an update, I downloaded, but when installing, it crashes too (could not perform the update and provided a link to the Adobe support.)

Hours later with Adobe ovens.  Tried:

    (1) by removing the PLIST file for bridge, no luck.

    (2) tried the trick of the Bridge Option to reset all the preferences in Bridge, no luck.

    (3) bridge created a new account Admin, connected to it, worked.

    (4) technical support adobe says it's now a problem with Apple because the program has worked with the new admin account.

    (5) says Apple book sand, it is a program of Adobe, it should work regardless of what admin account.

    (6) back to Adobe, talked to anyone at the third level (always 1), it's an Apple problem.  He suggests to disable Photoshop, uninstall Photoshop, run a clean script (that I just downloaded but haven't tried) which will remove all the files that have to do with CS5 uninstaller doesn't uninstall (completely logical), re - download and reinstall everything, yet once (I've not tried yet).

Do a Google search for crashing at the opening of the bridge reveals a frightening amount of comments with people having similar problems (don't even get started me on Adobe Air).

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here are the locations of specific Bridge preferences, you can try to pass Bridge CS5 files the following paths on the desktop to ensure all get recreated and exist. I know that you had mentioned the PLIST one already in #3.

[It] in the path would be your specific user account.

If your user account was not all permissions of read/write on any of these directories, which could also be the cause.

  • How can I close Safaricloudhistory and Safarinotification when you are prompted during the uninstallation of cs5

I'm trying to uninstall my CD of Creative Suite CS5 version.  I now have the cloud of CS6 version.  Once I'm on uninstall section I'm prompted to close the following applications: "Safaricloudhistory and Safarinotification" neither of which I am able to find nearby and therefore unable to continue my uninstall.

The steps in the Correct link and applies to Yosemite as well.

Launch the activity monitor of Applications > utilities.

Or Finder > go > utilities.

Once the activity monitor is running, check for Safari process and force them to leave the same.

When you click X button marked, it will encourage Quit option and force him to leave. Click the option to force out.

How can I get it back?

Which is expected. Older versions simply do not know the latest and will cancel the registration of file associations. You must reinstall CC to restore the associations of gall or manually rebuild.

  • Acrobat will not work after CS5 moved to the new computer

I moved my CS5 Suite, as well as the rest of my info to a new MacBook Pro, OS 10.10.4 using SuperDuper.  Photoshop, Illustrator worked immediately.  But for some reason, when I tried to launch Acrobat 9 Pro, I got an error saying that it had been installed as part of a suite and that I should launch Photoshop or another program to activate Acrobat.  I tried that several times, using PS or Illustrator, but no luck.  Has continued to get the same dialog box.

I went to Adobe cat, and the person told me delete the Cache.db file, and then try again.  This does not work while he had me uninstall Acrobat. Given that new MacBook Pro do not have a hard drive, I copied the Acrobat disk to a flash using a laptop drive older, then that allows to install on the new machine.  Now, when I try to launch Acrobat, I get a dialog box saying "license for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your administrator or Adobe... "I did once, but had the same results.  The agent told me that I have to uninstall all of the following, and then try again.

I would like to have a different opinion here.  The agent attempted to the cat down earlier when things did not work, and I had to ask a supervisor before he agreed to continue to help.  But this last outing, he signed off I could contact support again.  Very disappointed, and now I'm suspicious regarding if uninstallation of Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. will do the trick.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated!

  • I am now using CC and want to get rid of CS5 on my Mac, but the uninstall file is missing. I still have the original disks. What should I do?

Should I re - install CS5 so I can uninstall it then?

Hello Will, Rob, Nathalie, and Peter.

Thank you for having responded to my call for help. With all your advice, here's what finally worked.

I decided to reinstall CS5 Design Premium. (Used only the first disc with the red label, not the contents of the disc with the black tag.)

At the end of the installation was asked to close the 2 things, which has been SafariNotification.

I opened "Activity Monitor" and highlighted SafariNotification. Then went to the upper left of the window and tapped the little black x.

I had to click "Force quit" because that 'smoking did not work.

The installation of CS5 then finished.

I went directly in the "Uninstall" folder and you click on uninstall.

When uninstallation is complete, the files for many of these Adobe CS5 applications were still in my folder apps, but when I looked in them, they were empty. I just threw.

However, Flash, Photoshop, and Patchfiles was still MB in them but that they would not open, so I just threw those too.

There it is. I hope that this explanation will help someone someday. Thanks again for your help.

  • Adobe CS5 uninstall - reinstall on the same computer without using the last instructions of activation code?

I'm on a MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemite.  Computer has been completely cleaned, stored, updated, no problem other than my Adobe CS5 software will not work.  Photoshop, if I'm lucky that it will download, but a few minutes of the crash using.  InDesign won't open at all.  Illustrator, does not open.  Flash, none open - help from Adobe will not update because it says a file is corrupted etc etc etc etc.  I have my original disks with serial numbers to reinstall the software.  All I want to know is how to properly uninstall all the software on my computer and reinstall on the same computer without using my second activation code.  I can't seem to find clear, concise, simple instructions for this process.  "Disable" something before I have uninstall?  Where should I go for it?  What should I do once I have disabled everything I'm supposed to deactivate and uninstall the software, then reinstall?  I must return to some site to reactivate whatever it is I'm reactive?  I don't want to use my second activation code.  That's all.  Why customer comes from say the quick simple solution by phone beggars belief.  Yes.  I am quite aware that it is old software.  But it's your Adobe software.  Support me.  Because when you do not have, I have to post negative passive-aggressive messages like that on a forum online so that everyone can see.  I'm sure that you have all of the embarrassment of opportunity as you read this.  But I just want to assure that I do what I'm supposed to do without screwing anything other than it already is.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Uninstall using the own uninstaller from adobe by the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems, restart your computer and reinstall.

p.s. I'm not an adobe employee and these forums are user forums.

  • inDesign CS5 won't open, which gives error 5.

I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 premium (purchased on disk a few years ago) and then I bought inDesign CS5 (not creative cloud, just by download). It worked on my old computer, but I bought a new computer (iMac - OS X Yosemite 10.10.4) last year and I didn't use inDesign on this computer. I have also used an app (Adobe After Effects) using creative cloud but have no accession of the present, I was doing this on a monthly basis.

When I try to open inDesign, it says: "Configuration error, please uninstall and reinstall the product. If this problem persists... Error: 5 ". But when I try to uninstall it says: "your uninstaller encountered errors. Please try to restart... "I used the cleaner of the Creative Suite from Adobe tool, it seemed to work but don't give me a success message. I also tried to use the cleanup of the CS5 Mac utility. I uninstalled my Adobe Creative Suite 5 to see if that would help. There can be no. I restarted my computer. The problem persists.

I uninstalled creative cloud a few weeks ago because I was not using this. Maybe this has caused a few problems. I have no idea.

Any help I can get is very appreciated! Thank you.

You're getting ripped off. Adobe never contacted people via Skype.

  • How can I transfer info upload FTP of CS5 CC?

    Hello

So I've just been through a tragedy becomes just CC of Dreamweaver to open. I had to uninstall my Dreamweaver CS5.

None of my sites appear in the new version. And when I'll add them back in they did not login FTP for download information.

Of course, I should have a nice file with this information for all of my clients, but I know that I don't have for everyone.

So, is there a way to get this information in the new version of CC? Or I'll have to get back in touch with all my clients servers?

    Thank you

    Gareth

There should be no need to uninstall Dreamweaver CS5 to get Dreamweaver CC to open (although under Windows, you can't have the two programs running simultaneously). If you have not uninstalled CS5, you could have exported your site definitions and transferred to CC by following the instructions in the FAQ Dreamweaver forum: backup and restore site definitions.

If you delete the Dreamweaver preferences during the uninstallation of CS5, it might be interesting to try to reinstall it. Then you might be able to export the site definitions, as described in this FAQ.

  • Try to uninstall CS5.5 Master Collection, but programs do not appear in the standard location of Windows programs and features

Uninstalls CS5.5 after deactivation in order to save space for the CC, I have problems doing so.  I am on Windows 7 64 bit and installed from the Master Collection drives on my desktop and laptop - no one has all of the Master Collection uninstall programs appearing in the standard location, which is the only recommended uninstall Adobe, method.

If I run the original installation disc, it recognizes the existing CS5.5 of programs, but gives the option to install other options of the program rather than existing uninstall - is possible to use the disks to uninstall programs?

The fixed - used the disk to reinstall a CS5.5 existing applications, and then the Adobe Master Collection, presented as an element in the location of programs and features, I could select and uninstall applications.

    ... Is there a solution?

Help my boab do you migrate your applications and settings from your old computer?  It seems that Setup could not create the folder Adobe Photoshop CS5 because your current user account do not have sufficient access to modify either they ask or Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder if it already exists.

If you migrated/copied all the files or applications on your old computer then I recommend running uninstaller in the folder Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.  Once you have uninstalled, please run the CC cleaning tool before reinstalling Photoshop CS5.  Please see cleaning use of the CC tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html for more information on how to use the CC cleaning tool.
