CS5 upgrade from CS3

Can I use CS5 Design Premium Upgrade to update an existing version of the CS3 Web Design Premium?  The two Macs.  Thank you

You can update your programs of cs3 to the latest versions cs3, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

but they can't be updated to cs4 or beyond and own cs5 has no relevance to what you can do for updating cs3.

However, you can use your cs5 upgrade IF, when it was purchased, your cs3 was a product calling.

you might find that out by starting your cs5 install.  You will be asked your cs5 serial number.  After you have entered it will ask you for a product upgrade qualifying.  If you can select your cs3 product, you will be prompted for the serial number cs3 and cs5 installation.

  • Want to upgrade from CS3 [Design Premium] CS5

    Hello

You want to upgrade from CS3 Design Premium CS5 and I saw there is a difference in price of the update since CS4 and CS3. Stupid question: if I bought the CS5 upgrade, I would be able to install the suite or it asks for the previous version of CS4? If she asks only CS3 I would really put some $$$.

    Can you help me

    Ellen

Sorry, but the answer is no you can't pass a suite to a single product.  A lot of people miss this restriction if you choose to purchase the Suite.  Adobe locks for purchase of upgrades for all once more that you've crossed him not you.  So the short answer is that you must purchase the upgrade for the entire suite.

Check the recent thread on 'Adobe GREED' recent experience of another person with it.

  • Upgrade from CS3 to CS5

I am currently moving from CS3 to CS5 on my iMac. I've updated the main part of the suite, but when trying to update Acrobat received a warning him scared me. He said something to lose eventually my current PDF. It seems that you have to uninstall your old version of Acrobat before you install the new version. If I do that, I'll lose all my PDF files currently on my system or they will still be there after you uninstall the program and put it back?

Straceylou16 no you will not lose your PDF documents.  It's only going to remove the old version of Acrobat.  Will not suffer your PDF documents, you have saved.

  • Install CS5 UPGRADE from cs2 on Windows 8

I just bought a Windows computer running Windows 8, and I want to install it on CS 5. But I CS 5 is an upgrade, so it will not install I did not already have CS2 (my previous version) on the computer, and CS2 installs on Windows 8. What should I do?

I don't have CS2 (my previous version) already on the computer,

You don't need to have installed CS2.

If CS5 upgrade Setup cannot find an eligible earlier version installed then it will prompt you to enter the serial number CS2 instead.

  • upgrade from CS3 to CS5 Web edition academic edition

Is there any problem with the upgrade CS3 Education edition to the new CS5 Web edition? I would just buy CS3 to CS5 update?

There are no academic CS3 edition.

You have a following ordinary CS3 (standard, premium, master, web, etc.) which can be upgraded to a new suite CS5... you just pay the price of education for CS3.

CS5 pages produced on adobe.com, see the upgrade price for whatever the suite CS3 you have.

  • Video timecode out of sync after upgrading from CS3 PP PP CC

Hello!  I hope someone can throw me a Hail Mary here, because I'm wrapping a DVD project in the coming days in order to make a deadline for duplication of disk by Tuesday to have done before I'm driving up to Texas Thursday with hopefully 200 copies of a DVD I have already printed on the disks without content to burn bright disc labels.

I consider myself as an amateur, but successfully put in place a project to Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 lasting 73 minutes in 2007 with three camera angles and audio of the soundboard.  At the time, I work on the menus of DVD in Encore CS3, but never finished due to many problems over the years.  So now I need for this project, because the band that I shot is back together once more, and they want to do something with it.  Their first show is June 29.

After update of titles to reflect more MySpace pages and outdated information, when I tried to export to Encore CS3, he kept exporting to approximately 8 to 9 hours and then first Pro would just shut down without explanation.  I lost a few days trying to get this to work, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

So given that I just built a new computer with all the cool stuff on it and Windows 7 64-bit, Intel i7 quad core processor, I decided to take the plunge in the creative Adobe cloud, even if I have no idea if this issue with PP, closing no explainable reason would be corrected by the upgrade.  I downloaded first Pro CC and Encore CS6 and open the project file I had on CS3.  I had originally used the Smudger LET police for all securities, which has been is over rated, so my titles were all screwed up.  Not a big deal.

What is the problem, is that my audio and video files are all out of sync!  I thought it could be fixed by moving the video files to be in harmony with the audio, but that didn't quite do the trick.  I get horizontal lines at the beginning of the clips that prove be a change in the videos usually start times.  Even if I cut out the pieces of the horizontal line and move the video to be synchronized with the audio, changes are all shifted and come at the wrong time.  I don't know even how to explain it properly, but I hope that someone out there understands what is happening.and can tell me how to get things back in sync.

    Here is a screenshot:

    Capture.png

How can I tell first Pro CC I want to keep the changes exactly where they are, but adjust to start timecode to 00. 00; 00; instead of 00 00; 01; 41; 15, where the horizonatal lines finally disappear?  I already have over 200 hours invested in this project that I don't want to do it again, especially since I do it does not expect to pay for my efforts.  I'm just a fan of a group and want to share it with other fans of the band.  Essentially, I am donating the DVD and the CD of the show to the band to help raise money to cover the costs of production of a new album.  In addition, the red lines are Pro v3.4 video Neat plugin not yet rendering/preview.

    Thank you in advance!

    Matt

It shouldn't be a problem.  Many people have multiple versions installed.

  • Upgrade from CS3 to CS6

I have Adobe CS3 on my Windows PC and you have recently purchased a Mac. I'm unable to install CS3 on my Mac, since it is not compatible with Windows. Is it possible to switch to CS6 and installed it on my Mac? How can I go about it?

You are long upgrade cycles. You can only purchase a new license or join creative Cloud.

  • Upgrade from CS3 to CS6 - after market disappeared stuff!

After my CS3 to CS6 upgrade, my after-sales articles can't be upward.  (Dashboard of the Kubota Action, Totally Rad Actions RadLab...)

My inexperience guess the CS6 would replace the CS3 in the upgrade, but now I have two programs... with my after-sales products and the other without.

    Any help out there?

    Thanks in advance...

Only, you will need to reinstall your third-party products. If they support CS6, their installers will place all the elements in the right place. Otherwise, only contact sellers to inform on how to proceed.

  • There is a mistake in my program to flash on upgrading from CS3 to CS4

First of all, I'm using AS3.

I can't divulge too, but I have a flash multiscene program, quite complex which works well in CS3. During the upgrade to Flash CS4 - I can open the file and edit everything that elsewhere, but when he test (ctrl + enter) I get an error in the windows exit (1009) and an essay on white, as if it won't start.

    Why?

I can only give few details if necessary. Thank you.

There are changes in CS4 that could in some cases allow you to get away with things that you couldn't in CS3, especially to do with going a frame and try to do something to an object that exists now on this image. Error 1009 is what happens if you try to use something that does not yet exist. I guess it's possible that because CS4 is preferable to the use of objects in the new framework, it may have triggered a problem that CS3 would not have triggered.

Anyway, first thing you could try is updating the recent 10.0.2. Which fixed a large number of questions and can improve things for you:

  • Upgrade from CS3 to CS6 Web & Design Premium

    I am currently running CS3 32-bit on my 64 bit Windows 7 system.  I bought CS6 - should I remove CS3 completely before installing CS6?

Both versions can coexist. If you do not plan to use the CS3 version, then it may be a good idea to remove the old version and then install the latest version.

If you uninstall the version CS3 after installing the latest version, when uninstalling it might just ruin the file associations. Other than that, I don't think you will be faced with problems.

  • Upgrade to Photoshop CS5 from CS3/CS2/6.0

I bought Adobe Photoshop 6.0, then upgraded to CS2, CS3 then.

    Can I upgrade to CS5?

If so, can I install the trial version and activate it later once I have the key?

Given that the key is a key to upgrade, what happens to ask to verify the fact that the CS3 version (which was an upgrade) was based on a commercial version full?

The reason for all these questions, it's that I'll be upgrading to Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. I would just install Photoshop CS5 and try it, then order the update to complete the installation later. I am concerned about an upgrade is not appropriate (1) and the need to install Photoshop CS3 completely and then run the update to CS5. If I have to, I can just install CS3 after my upgrade from Windows.

Thanks in advance for your answers. While I've seen a few questions about the upgrade, I missed this specific scenario if it has been previously published.

The upgrade process is really very simple these days - even on a new box that was ever installed Adobe.

Upgrades are full as versions once installed. During the installation of updates, all that matters is that you have a serial number to a version more early qualifying practice - Adobe gave to it followed all the way back to your full version, which can be up to 20 years ago. Update serial numbers can only be verified by serial up to 3 versions back numbers anyway, so Photoshop CS is not eligible for a CS5 upgrade.

There is no need to install older versions on a new computer before installing CS5 upgrade version. It is in fact the complete code on disk independently to know if you have purchased a version full or upgrade - the serial number indicates the installation program if you have purchased a full version or upgrade license.

When you enter your serial number for CS5 upgrade, the installer will ask you to enter an earlier qualifying serial number (full or upgrade regardless). I have successfully completed this specific scenario myself several times.

The only drawback of the above is that there is a world of difference in the terms of the licenses (serial numbers) between a suite and a stand-alone version. If you install a trial on CS5 so try to keep just the Photoshop component (and enter its serial number), you will need to first uninstall the entire suite, and then install the standalone Photoshop CS5 upgrade version. Enter your serial number CS5, then check by entering your serial number for CS3.

This means that the previous version was a part of a suite as Design Premium or it was an academic version.
