Hi all

I am new to this forum and looking forward to learn from you all.

Have a CS6.2 box version and I can't find the 3D workflow. It is available only in CC.

Or am I lack of updates include 3D features.

Thank you

Muls

Hi muls.

3D function added in Photoshop from Photoshop CS6 Extended version, therefor you need to check the version of Photoshop, you have.

There are latest version for Photoshop CC 2015 offered by subscription and includes all the features. New features adobe Photoshop CC | Buy Photoshop CC

Hope that helps.

Kind regards

  • inDesign CS5 and CS6 inCopy workflow problem

I looked further discussions and did not answer the question to our problem.

We are a small publishing company and we have the license for about 7 inDesign CS5 best we bought a year ago.  We have contracts with external publishers to change content for us using inCopy.  Last year, there is no problem.  But any new Editor under contract we sign today, which in turn buys inCopy, we have problems with our talk with one of the other files.  All new editors under contract are able to purchase inCopy CS6.  This leaves us with the problem of having to inDesign CS5 on about 7 or so of our used machines and 6-8 CS 5.5 InCopy on outside contracted publishers and another 3-4 editors under contracts with inCopy CS6.  When publishers with inCopy CS6 try to open our InDesign CS5 files, either they will not open at all, or they will open, the editor working on the project for a while, their program crashes and they aren't able to recover (reopening) the files again.  Which translates into lost hours at work.

Has anyone encountered this problem?  Is there a work around or a quick fix.  We hate having to upgrade to CS6 for all our copies in InDesign home and then ask our external publishers have inCopy cs5.5 upgrade to CS6.

If this is the case, when CS7 comes out and we are hiring more outside editors, we must continually go through the process of upgrading again?  It is too expensive to use and our existing contract publishers.

All thoughts are a help would be appreciated.

It is one of the error messages from a Publisher under external contract using inCopy CS6.  The file crashed after several hours of work, when the Publisher went to reopen the case, they have received this error.  Which seems to be a generic error code that does not tell us anything.

    Hello Rufus,

Unfortunately the different versions of InDesign and InCopy work well with each other. More recent versions of the program should be able to open to older files, but they can't save backward. I don't know what the cause of errors with newer versions of InCopy however.

You are able to open the InCopy CS6 files on your computers?

  • Photoshop can be like first?

    Hello users,.

I'm much more familiar with the creation (currently the CS6) than Photoshop, but I don't see a particular feature in PS that is available in the body.

First I can import a group of files or entire folders into the media of the Organization browser, and then just drag a file of your choice on the timeline.

I am looking for a way to do this so I can simply drag a selected/s photo on my canvas. Y at - it a media browser in PS and I can do this?

Or y at - there another simple way to do it?

    Thank you!

    wsmith

I can only add, in the negative, but after trying very hard to make it work.  In PremPro you can reorder the items in the project Panel and add them to the timeline, select several clips and drag.  I tried to simulate this by using Bridge, but could not do this work, but it occurs to me, much less expensive applications like ProShow Gold can do so easily, and I wouldn't be surprised if later versions of PowerPoint could do.  It would be useful to add a feature request to Photoshop.com

I know it's a last resort for most of us, but there's always the help and user's Guide

  • DNG from Lightroom compatible 5 to 6 CS

I would switch to LR 5 but I have a big client who is still on a CS6 / ACR workflow. I was in big trouble when I moved from CS5 to CS6, because in its version CS5 my CS6 DNG / LR4 was totally different. So my question: is a DNG the same LR5 in LR4? Thank you...

It is not necessary to run the two versions that LR5 supports the same versions of processes such as LR4 and CS6, CS6 is now ACR 8.7 (5.7 and Lightroom) while there should be no problem with compatibility between LR5/CS6

Personally, I run LR5/CS6 and have not had any problems with DNG, even those created in LR 3.

Sorry... I forgot to mention that the problem developed because the final version of ACR in CS5 was 6.7

The translation was not perfect, but if I understand the question, you can EDIT ProRes on PC, but cannot export to ProRes format or use ProRes for previews. Apple has not provided the codecs for PC create format ProRes files, only to read.

Don't worry previews, use the default format. To export, you can download the Avid DNxHD codec which is very similar to ProRes quality and also creates a .mov file. When you export, do not check the option 'Use previews', just that it made to export direct source on chronology format.

  • CS6 workflow (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro)

Hello, I'm new to CS and have been a little different apprenticeship programs in recent months about the post-production.  I am mainly using Premier Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.  I noticed there are tons of different ways to work both within and between these programs through the CS package.  Because there are so many ways to achieve a result in the end, I was uncertain, what is the right way to modify or manipulate video footage.  For example, if I intend using consequences to color correction using the fineness of the color, or Matt paint and rotoscoping, should what order I open the files and modify them?  Should I start first and then use AE or do I change in AE and then import them into first?  I noticed that not all changes to EI are accepted at first. Same question goes with all edits to images in photoshop as well.  Any advice would be great or at least a direction to look for resources to help you with my workflow.  Thank you.

    Thank you.

  • Workflow metadata AVCHD & keywords in CS6

    Hello world

I posted a similar question in the forum Bridge CS6 and I don't get a lot of answers.  So I thought I post here in the forums of creation as it is likely that more people here with AVCHD experience.

I'm new to AVCHD.  I have a separate player on my computer (internal RAID-0 volume) with a folder "image library".  I was dumping the contents of my memory cards in this folder (create a subfolder for each), maintaining the structure of file/directory of the memory card.

I want to be able to change metadata and to apply keywords to each video file AVCHD.  This information would then be visible/searchable by all Adobe applications (specifically bridge and Premiere Pro).

Is there a way to do?  Looks like a simple task.  I assumed that I would do that in bridge, but it does not work.  I know that I can add info to each clip of in first, but that info is NOT visible outside this particular project (i.e. it does not appear in the bridge, or even if I reuse the same file in a different project than the first).

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions.  I think I discovered what the problem is... If it's a bug or a feature to add that I'm not sure.

I can't add/edit metadata to AVCHD video files first.  It is stored in a sidecar. XMP file alongside the file itself.

I can add/edit metadata to AVCHD video files in Prelude (impressive program, BTW. Thanks to needles27 to recommend!)  It is stored in the same sidecar. XMP file.

First sees the added metadata by Prelude and vice versa.  It is very useful, especially to create subitems in prelude.

Bridge does NOT see these metadata either.  Thus, not only Bridge does not add metadata, it refuses to see metadata added by other products.

My goal with this is to have a library of footage, used in various projects, I can browse.  So when I ingest video from my memory card on my hard drive, I would manually add metadata for each clip: a category (4-H, sports, etc.), the names of the people in the video, etc.  I do not know what program to use to add these metadata, but it must be visible/searchable within Bridge.  While I could open Bridge, navigate to the folder root of my video library and do a search for ALL (regardless of any project that they are accustomed to) 4-H clips with Joe.  As it is now, I have to open several individual projects of first/Prelude to find or create a master project that contains my library of images together... what a mess.

    I think the problem is

While trying to figure out how to use prelude, I fell on this help page.  Curiosity:

When you work with AVCHD files, make sure to maintain the folder structure. RAW of MTS files cannot be saved in prelude.

My AVCHD files are STD, but since I still have the memory card folder structure, prelude supports adding metadata to them.  (Assume that this restriction is in place in all Adobe programs, including the first and bridge.)

In the media (in the first) browser and browser to ingest (in the prelude), once I have drill down to the folder [memory card root] \PRIVATE\AVCHD\, the application detects that I am looking AVCHD files.

CS6 Bridge does NOT detect it.  Instead, I have to drill down to the [root folder to memory card] \PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM\, where reside the MTS files.  Given that the bridge does not detect these as AVCHD files, he sees them rather than raw MTS files that can have metadata.

So that's my assumption.  Is there currently a way to force the bridge to see a content folder as AVCHD?

  • Question of workflow for CS6

Let's say you have a 10 camera shoot that creates 200 hours of 10 bit 4:4:4 sequences of HDCam SR at 1920 X 1080/24PsF. You want to change in first, but you don't have enough video storage to accommodate this entire sequence in its native resolution. Wouldn't you also have storage bandwidth to read 10 streams of it at the same time. How would put the project if you change offline to some manageable resolution first and then, when the picture is locked, digitize first at full resolution for your final result on tape?  You want to be able to use multicam in offline mode. Thanks for any input.

I would continue to work in regular resolution of your clips well. You would really complicate the process by working in SD or 720. Just keep the same resolution 23.976 1920 x 1080, but instead of 10 bits, captures in a format low resolution. I don't know if you're mac or pc, then that would be useful. If you were on a mac, I would say to use a codec like ProResProxy.

That said, I think that first will not let you capture these formats directly into his capture window. You may need to enter into another application, such as final cut 7, then put the images on the front. Or maybe you caught in your native capture tool to capture cards, like the one provided with cards AJA kona.

  • Flash CS6 and SDK 10

    Hello

I had really intended to build a new application for BB10 using Flash Professional CS6. In fact, I was very happy. I have followed the development of BB10 and I'm a big believer in the potential. I expected to be part...

I tried to load the Blackberry 10 SDK in Flash CS6 and got nowhere. There is minimal support both online in the forums... Some users seem to have thought of it using some hacking... It is not intuitive and easy to use but...

BlackBerry 10 SDK has been for AIR - 3.0

Adobe is now running AIR 3.5.

Then the release of the SDK Gold is out and I was a happier time, think that some of the compatibility has been set, but as far as I know... It's the same as before download... AIR 3.0 SDK

I understand that the SDK works with Flash Builder, but honestly, I'm boggled as to how they are imported and linked to Flash Pro... CS6...

    I would have a return e-mail, but I couldn't find a contact e-mail... So, I posted in the forum...

I hope in the future, more attention will be given to developers Flash Pro and compatibility will be fixed...

I am looking forward to BB10 and wish RIMM much success...

I strongly recommend that look you in Flash Builder, if you do any serious coding. The workflow is much more intuitive than Flash Pro especially for mobile development. That being said, I still use Flash Pro every day to the creation of content, but I do all my coding in Flash Builder.

As others have found ways to get the API in Flash Pro there, but it is not a supported platform and will not in the short term. If you are not interested in using the API, I published an article on how to create an application BlackBerry 10 with Flash Professional here - http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Adobe-AIR-Development/How-to-Create-a-BlackBerry-10-AIR-Appli...

We are upgrading to the new AIR runtime, but it won't be ready for the launch. It will be released in an updated version of the BlackBerry 10 operating system in the future. You can get updates on the AIR here - Roadmap https://developer.blackberry.com/air/downloads/roadmap/

  • CS6 Package on Windows 10

    Hi all

I created a package using JOHN 3.1 for a license master collection CS6. A package is created successfully, but when I click on the Windows Installer Package it starts well during the part where it says 'Windows configure package xxxxx' it waits a few seconds then everything closes. Is this a problem of compatibility of Windows 10? Anyone had similar problems?

    Thanks for the help.

Read this article about the compatibility and things to look out for

Adobe Creative Cloud is compatible with Windows 10?

"Windows 10 is not an operating system that is supported for the CS6 and earlier versions of the product. CS6 limited with testing revealed no problem. Adobe recommends that customers do their own tests on a partition out of production to ensure new OS work ' with their hardware, drivers, and workflows. Current support for the CS6 is limited up to and assistance (installation, deployment, download and license) running up the judgment of management on May 31, 2017. I recommend also using creative cloud Packer to build your package rather than JEAN which is obsolete.

  • Differences in transition in default shortcut behavior between CS6 and CC

For several years, I was using PPro CS6 until Exchange to CC a few months ago.

In CS6, I liked the logic/behavior of the shortcut video transition default (for a chassis 20 dissolve in my case) applied via the Ctrl + D keyboard shortcut. Of course, he had to sit the head of reading/CTI above the transition point (i.e. where two elements butted together) in order, but that's all. It didn't matter if you had another clip selected / highlighted anywhere else in your sequence, only when the playback head was. So I could apply default transitions quickly from the keyboard by moving the playback slider to the next transition point in my sequence (via the keyboard up and down arrows) and by applying the shortcut. No mouse participation whatsoever.

Move forward to the CC body and I just can't get this behavior to work more. Instead, if I have a selected clip elsewhere in my sequence and I hit Ctrl + D my transition by default now is applied to this element, no matter where my reading/CTI head is positioned. To work around this problem I need to click on an empty sequence part (to deselect the last clip), and only then can I ask my default transition where my head is currently positioned between the clips. The big problem here is that it requires catch me the mouse to click on an empty part of the sequence, thus slowing my workflow. Although it may seem petty, it makes a big difference in reality.

I've lived with this behavior for several months, assuming that there must be a hidden setting to give back me the CS6 behavior. I can't believe that adobe would force without our knowing that he can actually slow things down. Maybe it suits some styles of editing with a head I didn't understand yet, but it is certainly not mine and I hope that there is a "stop" somewhere.

    Are there?

  • Hard to edit NEF files in Ps CS6 from Lr

    Hello friends

I use Lr CC 2015 for these past few weeks and I suddenly have problems of editing the NEF files in my Ps CS6. LR is giving me a prompt Camara 9.6 gross required and there are three options to choose from. If I choose open with Lr, then the files is due open in Ps CS6 but with additional problems that add trouble to my workflow. If you choose the option shown above, then a PSD file is automatically created which is automatically added to the collection of catalogue /-that I don't want. As I finish my montages in the CS6 Ps and save the file as a JPEG, this new JPEG file is NOT automatically get registered in the collection as part of the stack - which has been a part of my default workflow from Lr began "stacking" characteristic. In fact, even a few weeks back there is no problem by opening NEF files in CS6 and after mounting, those were to me collection automatically added as part of the battery with the original RAW file.

I don't want the PSD files, but I want the JPEG file to add that happening before.

So please help me to solve this problem.

    Thank you

LR imports only the documents that you use to register with, not save as.

You use edit in PS, select Open in any case one of the 3 options data when he complains of needing ACR 9.6, which should result in your seeing a NAVE in the title bar of the open document, not a TIF or PSD, then you can do save (not save under) which will automatically lead to the top save it under where you can select JPG format and it should automatically be included in your catalog.  The reason to register slot, even if you have chosen to record is because you cannot save in the document of the NAVE which is listed in the title bar and it generates automatically allows recording to jpg.

If you edit in PS and LR create a PSD or TIF on the way in PS, as you describe as what you do, now, then your backup will simply save as TIF or PSD document even once, which will include as TIF or PSD in LR and any attempt to save as to a JPG does not include the JPG.

If you previously received a JPG in LR so it's because you were doing a Save not save as.  Something changed with your workflow, where you meet LR generate a TIF or PSD.  This is the reason why the jpg files are is automatically included.

If you are is more invited three options that include open anyway as you do an Edit in PS, maybe you chose not to show once again, when he asked you and he jumps just ask and do whatever you chose this last time.  If this is what is happening, then go in LR preferences and click Reset all WARNING Dialogs going ask that even once and you can choose open anyway when he complained of needing 9.6 ACR.

Of course, to use the software as designed, would be to use PS CC 2015.5 with LR CC 2015.6.1 and it should work without problems, except for a reason, you still use CS6.

    --

I asked if you were using edit in PS or else to go to the PS, because you could also have defined photoshop.exe a third external editor and call it directly using change in PS.exe, bypassing the normal editing in PS.  A third editor always creates a TIF or PSD.

  • AppleScript to resize images in Photoshop CS4 will not work in CS6 - help!

    Hi people.

I am new to this lark script and hope someone can help...

Our Nigel, unfortunately is no longer with us, wrote a cunning to convert script photographs large size smaller using Photoshop CS4.

    The workflow is the following:

    You open Photoshop

You have two files, one with the original files and the other which is empty.

You drag the folder with the original files on the .app and he asks a destination folder (tell you him to use the empty folder).

The images are then opened one by one, resized, some tape removed and are then registered to the empty folder (formerly).

    Lovely jubbly.

The problem is when you try to use this app with Photoshop CS6 - it fails at the point of backup files in the new folder which gives this error:

Adobe Photoshop CS6 has been an error: "unable to get document"075.jpg". (- 1728)

I fiddled with the script a little and it seems don't not like the section "with options" command 'Save document' (it works fine if I completely remove the fuse "with options" - but I need than LZW compression).  I have trawled through a few similar questions on these forums, but have not been able to track down the problem. • 6 Lightroom will not Raw files open in Photoshop CS6 (Nikon d5 and d800)

I recently bought a Nikon D5 and have nothing else had problems with reading and opening the files.  I have Photoshop cS6 and had 5 of Lightroom.  I contacted adobe when I couldn't even import my files even after doing all the updates.  They advised me to buy Lightroom 6 upgrade and I have more questions.  So I did and I was able to import my raw files from the D5 but still I can't open them in Photoshop anyway.

After much research I found that I have to convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)  Believe me, I tried different ways).  Then, once it is converted, I can open it in photoshop.

Still more frustrating is that now even my files between my d800 can't be opened in photoshop without first be converted to DNG one by one.  It wasn't a problem until I downloaded Lightroom 6.  Can someone help me please?  Why can't I simply open the raw between d800 and d5 as usual files.  I don't want to convert you to DNG.  I downloaded all the updates for both programs.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom 6.  All advice is appreciated.  It is a puzzle.

convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)

The DNG Converter is designed to convert files in both folders in bulk.

    What is your workflow?

Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube

A conversion of files at once would be very laborious. I can understand your frustration if that's what you do.

Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility

D5 has been initially supported by Camera Raw 9.5 (= cloud Photoshop only) and Lightroom 6.5 (or the Cloud version)

The D800 was first supported by Camera Raw 7.1 (CS6) and Lightroom 4.1.

So you should have no problem with Raw D800 files in Photoshop CS6 or Lightroom 6 and you will be able to open D5 Raw with Lightroom (but), the files provided that you upgrade to version 6.5 (not previous versions).

You will never be able to open Raw D5 with Photoshop CS6 files. Use Lightroom 6.5 for this then save as DNG. Then, open the DNG in CS6.

Or join the Cloud and open Raw D5 files in Photoshop CC without converting them to DNG.
