  I'm looking for a tutorial that explains how to create a simple AS3 image gallery driven by an XML file.

  The gallery that I need is really simple:

  -a horizontal bar placed on the bottom, containing vignettes that scrolls left and right according to the mouse pointer

  -clicking on a thumbnail of the full image shall be placed above the bar of the thumbnails

  -buttons prev and next image

  -by clicking on the button that opens the Gallery I must be able to pass a variable to the Gallery to load the appropriate xml file (I've got 6 different categories to show)

• Create an image gallery full screen with MSO - breaks the other buttons?

  Hi - I am trying to create an image gallery full screen to be accessible from any available via a button.  The ultimate goal is to use my layout as a presentation tool and allow the presenter to have a "Photo Gallery" button on each page, then they would be able to access an image full screen at any time.  Most of my layouts have other buttons, content drop down, etc.  I thought that I had a great idea: create a multi-state of the first State being blank object, and each subsequent State would have an image and also a black box from full screen to a transparency of 50%.  The problem is that now my other buttons are no longer works.  I confirmed that the existing buttons will work if they are willing to be in front of the MSO image gallery, but this isn't a good solution.  Am I missing something or is there an another workaround?  Thank you!

  You must put the buttons within each State of the DSO.

  It isn't really a viable long-term model, you should probably rethink it is also not good from the point of view app performance because it requires the loading of images full screen for each State in memory.

• Creating an image gallery

  Hi all
  I'm still working on how to create a gallery of images on a page that there is a set of thumbnails on the side and the relevant big picture opens adjacent to tiles when they are speckled on.
  I did it using the function of layers/hide but the output appears incosistently in different browsers and windows sizes. I had in mind certain adaptations to the 'swap image' behavior which would open the swap to another position? Or you can also make the layers approach display constantly?

  This is the case. to fix, replace Stage.height and Stage.width with stageH and the stageW, the RESP and hardcode them the correct values for these variables.

  I develop an image gallery system based on the web and the search for the right technology to develop.  I am owner of complete Microsoft development environment (aka Silverlight), I am also owner of Adobe Production Premium CS4 (aka Flash CS4). As targeting the environment Linux/BSD is vital to my business model, trust me on this one, Silverlight is not the ideal solution. I know there isn't that Monolight, but this is not ordinary. But as we know, the Flash works on Linux very well, which makes it the ideal solution. In fact Flex is a better option, but I'm working with what I already own.

  All the stuff I see on Flash are really basic stuff of graphic designer. I was wondering if anyone knows of a decent tutorial that would help me to start developing a gallery of images with Flash CS4.

  With Dreamweaver, I use Lightbox JS 2.0 to take pictures on my Web site. But whatever I do photos are always too big. I create of course with a width of 100%, but on my screen, they are about 200% and so they are a little blurry.  I'm doing something wrong, or is there a way to prevent this?

  Well, your layout of the web site is not responding.  Its width fixed in pixels.

  And Lightbox container seems to be wide 1020px.  So it isn't an ideal layout for small users of the device that needs to scroll horizontally.

• How do you prevent site of scroll horizontally in Dreamweaver?

  I created a site that (although I don't see scroll on my computer and 2 others in several browsers) has a scrolling horizontal bar when my client views on his computer. I have problems troubleshooting since I don't see the problem clearly. I'm a little behind the curve on the creation of entirely sensitive sites and I am convinced that something I did to make this attentive created the problem. If possible, is - someone can take a look at the code for the links and tell me if you see any obvious corrections I can do in Dreamweaver or the code to make the pages horizontally stationary with no horizontal scroll bar? Please let me know if you need more information, and what it is.

  I just right click on the images to see their properties. Of course, you have to crop and optimize images for the web in your graphics editor.

  You have not developed a CSS formatting yet so this is where you start.

  If you have CS6, use the built-in feature of fluid grid Layouts.  Building Mobile first because that's what everything else is built.  Then create your Tablet formatting and finally available to your office.

  I am trying to reach a HorizontalFieldManager scrollable (horizontally) surrounded by two BitmapFields:

  Right, looks like / now works very well except for the BitmapField on the LEFT, who do not are displayed. I think that it is pushed "away" by the content drop-down.

  I've always had problems, do this sort of thing.

  I don't have an answer using hfm, but have you considered using the TableLayoutManager - the code example provided by RIM.  Search the forum for the references and the blog that explains how to use it.

After testing different ways using the BitmapField, I just changed paint the bitmap on the screen instead. More write the paint method and use drawbitmap to draw the bitmap to the screen. Track action wheelball to paint the bitmap can achieve the effect of view.

  What kind of manager added the BitmapField to?  The support of the Manager there vertical or horizontal scrolling style defined?
