  Without knowing the exact product codes nobody knows exactly. Some edu licenses can offer a selection of platform in the package, but still require you to commit to one when you redeem the code of redemption for the final series. Similarly, some volume issued by schools edu licenses may contain soap operas for both platforms, but it's really too complicated to understand, still more since quite literalyl edu licenses are governed by different rules in each country or even the States / counties. The only way to make sure to get the code of the aforementioned article and to ask your support regional edu / dealer if this is legitimate and useful for you.

  Russellb48276717 you can find details on how to request an exchange of platform product for another language or version of Exchange platform .  As noted in Ned, you give up your Windows license in order to receive a license Mac CS6.  Creative Suite 6 licenses are platform specific.

  If you don't want to use Photoshop CS6 on Windows and Mac, then I recommend a creative cloud membership.  It includes access to Photoshop CS6, in addition to 2015.5 of CC of Photoshop, you can find details about how to install the previous versions to download and install creative Cloud applications.

  Newbie here, so this can be a bit of a silly question. I bought Photoshop cs6 years mac there and had to ask adobe to change the license of windows at the same time no Mac. I now work with a mac for most and it's a problem running 2 bones trying to work. Do you know if I can change to mac os or is it possible to run photoshop on both that would be just perfect (where wonder what is actually useful friends seem to be what adobe don't tend to do)?

  A subscription to creative cloud allows you to run applications on each platform, whereas a CS6 license is platform specific, so need you 2 licenses to run on both Mac & Win.

  Please check if you have Photoshop CS6 set as default editor in Lightroom preferences.

  Click Edit > Preferences in Lightroom.

  Click on the Edit tab external, under additional external editor on the right side of the application

  Windows:-click on choose and navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Cs6 and choose the photoshop .exe file.

  Mac:-select Photoshop.app in Applicationa > Photoshop CC.

  

  Also note that if you try to open a raw image which is supported only in CC Ps, then choosing PS Cs6 as default editor might not help.

  I'm currently have CS6 Design Standard on PC and will soon receive a macbook and I want to transfer my cs6 from pc to mac software. I know it's possible thanks to a platform swap, but I am also aware that you must have the latest version of the software in order to achieve this. I was wondering if cs6 counts as the "latest version" here, or time I start to pay for creative cloud?

  I'm perfectly happy with cs6 for the moment, and as I have will pay for my macbook monthly really cannot afford to pay the costs of creative cloud on top of that.

  Yes, you should be able to.  If all goes as planned, CS6 will be the latest version which is available for a swap of platform.  Membership of cloud can be used on platforms at the same time.
