  I need help with something for my sore head... :D

  Today, I had to turn to the zone updates and to see a newer version for the Flashcard, so I donwloaded and install, but now start problems...

  at the start of the installation it says that need to uninstall the old version, then ok I accept, then restart and exec that the flashcards program installation, but now I get error "serial number is invalid '. I come here looking for a solution and read that I have to reinstall the VAP (I had installed the version of vap-20080109135106).

  Before the error windows if poster, a DOS window opens and closes automatically with this message from command line: "connected to the ROOT\CIMV2 namespace", while the error comes: S

  Again once I uninstall the VAP, restart, clean with ccleaner, reboot, reinstall the VAP, restart, install the most recent Flashcards... surprise and... again the same error... The serial number is not valid

  I tried all the steps once again and get the error more another time.

  For the third test, I just installed the VAP and seen that the included flashcards have been installed and working... but not so easy... they don't work when you press the combination FN + Fx only works if I move the mouse over them... exactly the only combinations of work are the FN + F10 & FN + F11.

  The FN key works, because as I said before the two combinations and the green light when you press ok blinks.

  So now I have a VAP flashcards who (not upgrading) works only with the mouse or touchpad click. If I press FN + something nothing happens (except the F10 F11 keys).

  Goin whats here? I am really frustrated with this happen.

  PS: I am sure that the version of updates are just pattées portable model...
  I also tried to install version olders flashcards and PPV that I had on a backup driver cd and nothing happens, the same situation and erros... (FSCC-20080307104403 & FSCC-20070809135810)

• Have CC and LR CS6 photography, cannot enter serial for CS6 more

  A few months ago, I bought LR CS6 with serial number. I installed on 2 machines, and it asked me to connect and would identify my purchase very well.

  I just bought CC photography Plan so I can get the latest updates LR CC and CC in Photoshop.

  So disabled facilities base number so I could later on my primary machines. I have uninstalled and installed the new CC and it works fine when I connect.

  However, now when I try to install LR CS6 on other machines, it asks me to connect and won't let me enter the serial number, just assumed that I am using the same subscription CC instead of my serial number. There is no opportunity to enter my own serial no and, of course, I don't have enough activations beyond my two main machines. I need to use the standalone serial number for my other 2 machines.

  How can I solve this? Is there some special stand-alone installer for LR6? I thought I was using the original, but I don't know. I also tried to download one marked as just 6 of Lightroom, but the same thing happens.

  99jon, I found a different solution which is a variant of what do you recommend. As I bought my standalone just now and there is no easy option to transfer licenses between the accounts, I was able to do this:

  (1) create account for my wife with no permits at all on this subject.

  (2) install LR and when necessary to open a session, choose the account of the wife. The application will say there is no subscription and you want to switch to mode of trial. There is no option to enter the serial number at this stage, to accept the mode of trial.

  (3) close LR and re - open LR.

  (4) now there is an option to 'buy' or something like that. When you choose this option, you can choose to enter the serial number. The serial number should not be on the same account, it is accepted and works very well.

  To my knowledge, this error message might appear for different reasons.
  First this error by using applications that was not designed for this series of laptop.
  Satellite A200-1AE belongs to the PSAECE series. Have you downloaded the tools and drivers for this series?

  Please check this!

  Second, the error of incorrect serial number appears if the wrong DMI information was stored on the system board.
  This could happen for example if a technician has not updated the DMI after a motherboard replacement.

  Finally and above all, it s that you have not installed all the drivers and applications in the right order.
  You must check the installation instruction txt file and need to install the drivers in the order mentioned in this file.

  How do you connect to the Stylus DX4050?  It is USB, wired network or wireless network?  The documentation says it is USB, but I connected USB printers to the network, then maybe you have as well.

  If you had a perpetual license for CS6 then you can continue to use it as long as you have a machine that supports it use.  CS6 is not likely to have updates, because it is an older product, but if something were to be released you would probably be able to acquire it.  If the school you provided CS6 then you will need to check with the school to see if the arrangement for you was not perpetual, as far as license goes
