  I noticed that you can style JavaFX controls using their secondary structure.

  for example in the style of the label in a table to be framed left column header, I can do that

  How can I style my own nodes/controls this? Basically, it is to wonder how the selectors as '.column-in-head-background' are associated with substructures of my node control/Java objects. So, let's say I have something like

  How JavaFX combines the fantasy and fred node to something in my implementation of a node/control?

• Skining & Security: CSS loaded only after the connection [simple question]

  In an adf with skining trinidad application:
  
  The form css skining is not loaded on the login page. If the login page is open after the user is logged that is looking fine.
  What I notice is that by trying to open the .css to the browser (full path) the browser redirects to the login page (if the user is not logged).
  
  In the web.xml file force security looks like:

  the problem is that you protect the directory root (context root JavaEE) to be accessible only to authenticated users. This blocks the CSS to be downloaded on the client. So what you need is another way to apply JSPX records authorization, you could do by * *.jsp as a security constraint, which would then allow access to other resources. Another option is to store the pages in a subdirectory/pages, and then specify the constraint of authentication/authorization as security / pages / *. If you work with ADF Faces and ADF then security ADF is an option to ensure their link pages

• Allow customers to the site of the muse to load their own videos on site

  Basically I want that people will be able to have people create their own videos, just upload the video to the site and then have the video showing at the top of a specific page, sorta like a blog format. At this point, I've built a lot of front end things with Muse - I bought my site to godaddy and use use. That's all.

  If possible, I would also do that people must create an account / register with my site and then get special permissions on the site once they connect.

  There are widgets for this? I keep reading on BC... This is my first site and using tons of different things is simply too complicated at this point.

  This is hardcore PHP, SQL and all that stuff. Even existing systems CMS such as Joomla, Typo 3 and so forth would require major work and customization to pull this off. and of course you need tons of storage and bandwidth transfer. You're way over your head if you think you can pull this off simply Muse and a 10 $ a month GoDaddy account...

  Note that these comments relate to the meaning of assignment of names and semantics of the css tags and not the syntax and parsing of css (such as the w3c css and css javaFX seem to be equivalent with respect to later).
  
  You know, sometimes I find refreshing absence of JavaFX features in css. It is nice to have, well, almost everything, the JavaFX CSS documented on one page. I think that if you were to do the same for the w3c css then it would end up with a much bigger, more difficult to understand the document and even what should be the content of this document would probably quite controversial, in the same kind of way that ends up being the HTML5 specification. Microsoft has helped more than 7,000 w3c tests just to cover only a subset of css rules that are available in browsers today. The webkit project lists open CSS nearly a thousand bugs: https://bugs.webkit.org/buglist.cgi?product=WebKit & component = CSS & resolution =-. If the implementation even partial w3c CSS support is a complex project.
  
  When I started using JavaFX CSS I found differences in w3c CSS quite shocking, and it was difficult to account for their. Now that I'm used to JavaFX CSS, I don't have as much of a problem. The difference in names and semantics will be an obstacle to working on JavaFX developers who are familiar with w3c CSS - but the designers quickly will also discover that FXML is not HTML and Java isn't JavaScript and JavaFX deployment is not HTML deployment. Then, perhaps, in the bigger picture, it is not as big a deal that he would appear. Yet, one cannot think that any obstacle to the people easily pick up and adopting JavaFX makes the technology a disservice.

I haven't checked the jira JavaFX in detail, then maybe a request for support already exists - it's perhaps in the private http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-9272 jira.
  
  The JavaFX css model is really powerful and I found really useful some of the additions that it adds above the css 2.1 Basic found regularly in browsers. With the next CSS Java model object http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-17293, you will also better get access by Java programming.

  Thanks for the comments. The gap between JavaFX CSS and CSS from W3C will be an evolutionary process. It would be nice to use the stylesheet of a standard basis, but there is not always a mapping from 1-1 to JavaFX. But for properties that can be mapped, it is something that should be supported. For example, we should be able to deal with 'police' or '- fx - police '.

• Newbie question about the firmware loading and music

  Hi all.  Firstly a bit of background.  I am a former admin of system IT I got a C240 as a gift.  I tried to remove the music from Windows Vista section of the computer where the C240 is listed as a portable device.  Now, I can't get things to work quite right.  I seem to have the 8 original songs/5 albums that come with the device.  The number has doubled to 16, and half of them cannot play.  I'm not sure I want to do with this device, but I want to clear in addition to all the current music and load my own.  I tried to download the update of the firmware and it still just waiting and never took the screen "search for updates".

  Also, I have Media Player 11 and it does not recognize the unit.  So, how do Media Player to see the device, copy music to it and delete the prepackaged songs accompanying?  Any help will be appreciated.  I don't want to choose the format from the settings menu, unless it's the way to go.  Arrest me please make any more mistakes!  Thanks in advance for help a dummie MP3!  -Victor

  OK I got when I hit reset I changed the USB to MSC settings to automatic detection.  So I reset on MSC.  Now I see the Unit 11 MP so how can I delete and add music?  Thanks for bearing with me! -Victor

• A way to load external files in applications WebWorks

  Hi all

  I am facing the following problem.

  My application is able to play the animation sequences of 16 colors on a screen of matrix of LED 34 x 18.

  I am working on a set of tools that make it relatively easy for people to create their own animations play in my application. I'd love to see what other people come up with.

  But here's the problem: how they load these new animations in my application? On Palm WebOS, it is possible to load a file from any Web host on this platform, I can simply tell the user to put a file on their Web host and enter the URL in my application.

  However, on the PlayBook every domain must be added explicitly permission in the file config.xml for the APP. Therefore, it is impossible for users to load their own Web host files in my application.

  Before I spend more time perfecting these tools for end users (I already use the myself but right now they are a little gross) so I need to know if it will be possible for users to put the files they have created with my tools on their playbook and whether it will be possible to load a file into my application at a given time for example by offering a "Browse" button which exposes the local file system to select a file.

  Is it possible (going to be)? If so, I also opened a repository for people to present animations created then possibly include in next updates of the application.

  In the entertainment section you can see the various animations that I created with my tool. They are stored in a JSON file.

  You can whitelist ' *' to allow access from all domains.

  I think that this limits the possibility for all areas of access to the api specific blackberry however.

  I'm sure it's documented somewhere in the WebWorks getting started guides?

• HOW CAN I ADD MY OWN IMAGE ON THE SCREEN OF WINDOWS 8 START

  Let's be clear, as clear as I can be without realizing the term Microsoft applies to this new application in Windows.

  When you click Start in Windows 8, there is an image behind the tiles. I want my own image, which is an image from my Gallery, behind the tiles.

  When you click on the charm of settings and select Customize, you are allowed to choose among 20 preloaded images, with 20 being your current desktop image. I would use a still image without making changes to my desktop.

  I can not even find the location of the file for the preloaded images! If I knew where they were stored, I could add my own image library.

  I use a similar technigue to make my wallpapers available for all users: my wallpaper screen images has just moved into the Windows\Web\Wallpaper folder.

  Similarly, I do some of my available desktop themes to all users by copying them in the Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes folder.

  I even load my own sounds in the Windows\Media folder. Thus, all users have access to the sounds I like to use.

  But I can not find the folder where are these images pre-loaded Windows 8 start... AND I don't like these preloaded images, I want to use one of my own!

  How can I change the image of Windows 8 start behind my tiles?

  You can have transparent so that your background shows through (option 20 as you mentioned it).

  Other components don't cry pictures. They are programming that built graphical objects, a lot as well as additional programming that prompts them to move when you scroll for artistic effect and provide options to change the colors of this product graphic objects programmatically.

  But there is no 'image' to display or replace, because none of those are actually pictures at all.

  I have a new ProBook 5330 m which comes pre loaded with Excel Starter 2010. I loaded my own suite Microsoft Office 2007 which I would prefer to use. When you use default Office Excel Starter 2010 how can I change the default value to my Office 2007?

  Solved my problem, deleted pre loaded software and fixed all files that are opened with the wrong program.

• The CSS for my drop-Spry has code missing.  How can I fix it?

  I moved the spry by copy and paste CSS code to my own STYLE sheet external and made some adjustments. I'm putting anything in the same area as the vertical menu.  I can not put articles on the same ground as the menu. I tried to place images and text of absolute positioning, using the pixels, creation of containers and thing that I could think of. Nothing has worked.  My footer will not be convinced that the lower part of the menu s not the bottom of the page. !  I decided to start from scratch.  The CSS for the Spry drop down vertical menu is now empty.  How can I fix my DreamWeaver? Then I need solve the problem with the menu

• Adobe typekit javascript added in html, but the fonts are not loading/display on browser

  I have a set of fonts selected in adobe typekit, after that I used the code embedded in the html file, I still don't see the fonts displayed/shown in the browser. That's the fluidlayout working on a website using dremweaver.

  The "boilerplate.css" has his own fonts mentioned, but this has got something to do with the fonts using adobe typekit?

  To see a preview of the Typekit fonts locally, you should use a local test such as wamp, xampp or mamp server and configure it in your DW site definition.  See screenshot.

• InDesign Mac CC: "cannot open resource file' popup message when loading a feather in my plugin

  We have a pretty simple plugin for InDesign, which we have maintained since the time Pre-cs.  We would wear to CC.  Everything works on Windows and Mac, with one problem.

  The plug-in displays a file save dialog box, which is customized with a couple of additional controls for additional information from the user on the exported file.  As far as I know, there is no way to do it with the InDesign SDK directly, so we do it with code specific to the platform and resources.  Under Windows, we have this by calling GetSaveFileName in the Windows API and by setting a custom resource .rc and "hook" function with OFN_ENABLETEMPLATE and OFN_ENABLEHOOK.  On Mac, until CC InDesign, we asked the function of carbon NavCreatePutFileDialog, with a style file old Pier and an event proc handling kNavCBCustomize and al.  This has all worked for a long time great.

  However CC InDesign on Mac is 64-bit only, and carbon will not work with it.  So, we took the leap in cocoa and put implement with [NSSavePanel setAccessoryView:], where load us a NSView custom from a pen integrated into our bundle of plug-ins.  And it works very well also.  However, when the plugin code call [NSNib initWithNibNamed:bundle:], InDesign CC appears a warning message saying: "Cannot open resource file."  However, the resource (the pen) is obviously loaded correctly.  Thus, the user must dismiss this apparently false alert box before being able to move forward.  Once the alert is dismissed, the NSSavePanel works very well, with our custom NSView.

  I can say that the popup alert just InDesign itself, rather than a subsystem of Mac underlying as cocoa, because he has the title of "Adobe InDesign" and the gray dark background as the rest of the CC of InDesign and the OK button has an orange highlight around it.  It is clearly not a standard thing of Mac as a NSAlert.  And if I do the same calls to [NSSavePanel setAccessoryView:] et al. in a stand-alone application, obviously no this popup appears.

  It seems that somehow our call to load the file Nib triggers some kind of hook in InDesign.  My guess is that it's a hook for InDesign load its own resources, which is hanging by mistake in features our plug-in.

  I tried two approaches to load the Nib enumerated file here:

  And they both work, the pen is responsible and we can get our NSView to it and use it in the NSSavePanel.  But if we call [NSNib initWithNibNamed:bundle:], or [NSViewController initWithNibName:bundle:], CC InDesign displays the message box as soon as the call to load the pen is made.

  Why InDesign CC showing the message 'Cannot open resource file', and how can it be prevented?

  I thought about it.  The problem was the plugin code to create a ResourceEnabler object, which is needed by older versions (CS *) of the plug-in on Mac to locate resources .rsrc for the call of NavCreatePutFileDialog of carbon with the carbon resource custom.   I #ifdef'd out so that the ResourceEnabler object is not created during the generation of Cocoa 64 bit for the CC and the offending message popup no longer appears.

  I do not understand why the ResourceEnabler object is needed for carbon, resources of the plug-in to the top of the stack of the resource, but I do not completely understand why the presence of the ResourceEnabler object would have an effect on a call from cocoa to [NSNib initWithNibNamed:bundle:], which also works fine.

  Note that simply create the ResourceEnabler object does not trigger the popup even if the bundle of plug-in contains no carbon resources to move to the top of the stack.  It's only when I go to load the Nib file that the ResourceEnabler seems to want to get involved and complain that it cannot find anything.

  So if anyone from Adobe is reading this, I would say that set you the ResourceEnabler feature so that it does not interfere with loading crane of cocoa.  It is perhaps best to just do the ResourceEnabler a no - op in InDesign CC.

  You can have a picture of Servlet that retrieves and returns the image of the database table.
  then use it as then in image, as you cannot edit css when running.

• CP5 - W7 - film not loaded - black screen

  Hi all Captivaters,

  For the first time in my life, I have encountered this problem.

  A caprivate priview/publish cannot load its own swf.

  A normal project, among several other projects with the same settings I have all projects cannot load all of a sudden?

  I searched the Forum but did not find any other captivater with the same problem.

  I am ready to send my project to Captivate 'central' supported if they want to study and they are happy for all the advice I can get.

  Here's what I can be if I saw (F12) or post it to an LMS or publish on the desktop or in EXE (media).

  Some settings that I think would be useful to know.
