How to unlock a program in Windows Vista?

Help!  I have windows vista and I'm ashamed to say that I have NOT read the question properly and clicked the WRONG button.  The computer wanted to block a program and I had to check a box if I EVER wanted to ask me this question again... I thought he was asking if I STILL wanted to run the program.  So, because of my stupidity, I double click on my icon and it will not bring the program up.  It is not yet ask me if I want to allow this program to run (because I said can't me that).  HOW, HOW, HOW, to make my program to run and unlock?  Help, please... Leah

I have a suggestion not so high-tech.

Uninstall the program > re - install the same program > now open the program and see if you are prompted again. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

How to get a CD of windows vista?

If you want to buy Vista, you'd have to try online at: Newegg, Amazon, etc.

Or try your local computer repair shop.

If you are referring to the recovery disks, or reinstall Vista:

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How ascess the files in my Windows Vista Partition in Windows 7?

How ascess the files in my Windows Vista Partition in Windows 7? I have Windows Vista Partition, I case these files through my Windows 7 partition without logging in there?

    Thank you

You should be able to (I'm virtually certain it's possible) If you have the appropriate permissions or property rights in your Vista partition to allow access of the user of Windows7 or users of Windows7.  It's the way it works with XP and Vista and I suspect that it is essentially the same thing here.  You may need to add the users to the Vista partition/folders/files in Windows7 using regardless of their process (it varies probably Vista so I won't bother posting method Vista to do).

The best thing to do is to follow the advice of Michael Murphy and get help from experts in the Windows7 Forums.

  • Unable to open many programs in Windows Vista.

Original title: windows vista melting down

Questions - need to start exploring in the Manager of tasks of admin and other users.  Games - Freecell etc opens but displays only a plan.  The game is there, but is not displayed.  Windows Live Messenger - opens as a preview, but it does not appear.  Windows live Movie Maker does the same.  Most of the other programs Windows start and appear ok.  IE9 is not the content.  Because of Google Chrome and Apple's Safari is super fast but never used before this weekend.  And the biggy, emails in Windows Mail are all gone. Always had Contacts but all these stored emails and profiles have disappeared.

I started in safe mode and was and everything seemed ok with the limited number of features that gives you.  I restored to Wednesday, but the problems continue and I can restore is no longer, he said that no restore points are available on the computer.  I'm not fallen MS anti-virus program long and no virus or malware found.  Got Essentials running and no problem found and all updates completed. I checked the Regedit and ran through 6 or 7 directories to find explorer.exe in the shell as needed (not sure what that means, but I checked anyway)
So what happened Thursday.  I surfed without protection for one hour without realizing Norton had expired, I knew that it was about to expire but not this day.  Then, I deleted norton completely and installed Microsoft essentials and upgraded to IE9.  Then seen emails were gone so I restored to Wednesday, but that doesn't seem to change something in return.  If someone can some scream '' Cut '' and we go back to Wednesday night I renew my norton and go back to watching TV.
Don't know what made me in French - complete a virus or adding MS Essentials or the removal of Norton, but the wife blames me for him, and of course, she's always right.  Please I need a break

    Hello

Do you have emails when you restored the computer to Wednesday?

Given that this has worked very well in Safe Mode, I suggest you perform the clean boot and see if that helps.
