• Flash Pro / AIR 20 currently cannot be used for iOS apps? :(

  So, two days before you need to download an app on the App Store, I discovered that because of the bugs and flaws in the AIR 20 (version and beta version), there is currently no workflow that allows you to create and distribute an iOS application made in Flash Pro. At least, I can't understand the workarond.

  The problems seem to be as follows:

  1. AIR 20 does not add a Flash Pro accompaniment for the moment necessary 167 x 167 for iPad Pro application icon. At least I don't see in my AIR > dialog icons. This means that we spend not more requiremments the Application Loader. I guess there is a way to get the name of the icon file in the file descriptor XML manually, but I have yet to understand what it is. Whenever I opens the AIR and each time I publish it, the XML file is crushed, then even if I manually add the new file icon, it will disappear from the XML when I publish the actual application of Flash Pro.
  2. Even if it this was not a problem, by publishing with AIR 20 currently causes an error for an "unexpected element" in publication in the descriptor XML file. This is detailed in Air 20 app.xml versionNumber number and seems to be linked to AIR 20 writes a < version > node in the XML file rather than using < versionNumber >.

  I don't understand why I'm not more discussion on it that Flash Pro apparently not had an efficient workflow for the valid creation of iOS applications from AIR 20 and the new requirements of the Apple icon. I'm the only one who is still developing with AIR + Flash Pro, or is there something really obvious that I'm missing?

  Boris, with regard to the second question: at the moment you can leave the version inside the empty Flash CC field (then it won't add a node). And manually set the in the XML file.

  Also, I just tested the addition of a node of 167 images in xml, as so icons/ikon167.pngand it has not been replaced when I published from Flash publishing settings. Note that I use AIR version 20.0.0215.

• Yahoo Maps for Flex 2?

  I'm doing a small test with Flex and the Map of Yahoo API, but I'm getting nowhere. I guess I have the old extension for Flex 1.5, but I'm not sure.

  Bought new Forza 4 and the lancer Track Pack code does not work, how do I get a code that is generated in the form I've already paid for it. Rank of loads of numbers and sent 10 s of emails but cant seem to get help.

• Firefox not displaying browser doesn't not Apex Bug Tracker App icons

  I use canned Apex Bug Tracker App version 2.0.12 with updated Firefox ESR 31.7.0 on my Windows 7 PC and icons that are supposed to appear on the left side next to the links of 'Home', 'Products', 'Bugs', etc. in the App are not there, only a square with hexagonal numbers it appears to place the icons.

  It's really ugly and it makes users confused about if there is another set of button pressing.

  I also have IE8 (8.0.7601.17514) on my PC. It has the reverse problem where it shows the icons but interfere with the 'Home', 'Products', 'Bugs' etc. captions.

  Is it a browser that keeps Apex Bug Tracker app has been designed to support?

  The solution is that Apex displays icons using a custom font, and Firefox was not downloading and using this custom font because Firefox is configured to use my fonts favorite instead of the police of the page.

  Difficulty click on Firefox in the menu top of the page:

  Tools-> Options-> Fonts and Colors (Advanced)-> Select checkbox "allow pages to use their own fonts.

  Acrobat can be installed on 2 computers, but it can be activated on a computer at a given time.

  You have the subscription if you do not require a serial key, it will be activated using the Adobe ID once you connect.

  Now just let me know the cause, you try to activate Acrobat on your second system?

  Please follow the steps below.

  Solution 1: -.

  1 sign out and sign back for creative cloud.

  Check the "hosts" adobe entered into file. (If you don't see all the entries of adobe, go to solution 3)

  1. go to the location of the file "Hosts".

  WIN: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

  MAC: Go to the menu finder on top > go to files > type '/ etc', press return.

  2. move the file hosts on the desktop.

  3. open.

  WIN: Open it with Notepad.

  MAC: double click on it.

  4 remove all entries of adobe, that it does not obstruct your machine to connect to the Adobe's Activation Server.

  5. rear move "/ etc" folder.

  Solution 3: -.

  1. check if you are using any kind of firewall (network/system) / proxy.

  2. turn off firewall / proxy.

  You don't need BEA Workshop or IBM Rational Software. I think it means that you can install the plugin eclipse/BEA Workshop on top of Flex Builder/IBM Rational Software.

  If you choose to Flex Builder standalone, then you have even eclipse. If you choose Flex Builder Plug-ins you need eclipse.

  I'm under APEX 3.1.2. and met some problems on download of CSS.
  
  I had a CSS file for an application running.
  This file I deleted and use the Create button in the shared components > Cascading Style Sheets > create a cascading stylesheet to upload the new CSS file under the same name.
  Later I tried to use some of the newly introduced classes, but they did not come to work when I run the page.
  
  Everything worked fine when I download the new file under a different name.
  So, it seems that the changes in the document had no effect.
  When I edited the file online new classes did not work also.
  
  I tried to find out by searching the weather forum and the release of notes it is a bug known to this version or not.
  Anyone of you knows?
  If it's a known bug, it is resolved to a later version?

  From what you described, this could just be a problem with your browser, the CSS implementation in cache and not to pick up the update.

• The tracks window moving flex time marker move

  LPX 10.2.4, running I have the main window showing my pieces and, below, the editor, which I currently use for set Flex time markers.

  For some reason, in the last 15 minutes he began to behave differently in a way that has seriously slowed down my work: whenever I changed the position of the marker Flex - either through each dragging methods, either via Undo/Redo - the following two things were different from the usual behavior:

  • the waveform in the window of the tracks do not have a 'ghost' wave form which moved to reflect my drag in the editor, I did not see how the edit line non-sinusoidales wave the other tracks
  • the window of the tracks jumped at the beginning of the partition. He didn't budge from the read head, so pressing space twice more quickly got the rear window of the playhead near where I just changed, but it was confusing.

  This has solved the problem of the window mobile tracks:

  • clicking outside the audio region in the window tracks, to deselect the selected region
  • clicking New in this region to reselect it

  However, I still don't see the ghost waveform by dragging and I have no idea what was causing the odd behaviour.

  If you have any ideas of what could happen, please let me know.

  Sometimes, when the arrange window accurately displays the changes that I made to flex markers in the editing window I change flexible to bend the ground, then again for repeatedly bending and which allows a refresh of the region and flex markers and corrects the flex display in the region.

• Where to submit bugs tracking protection

  After you activate the protection followed in the current beta version (39), via topic: config, I tried to load a target.com search page, and only half the graphics for their products to load. This happened with two different searches. Disable the tracking protection, then reload the page showed all the graphics.

  Is there a place to report a bug (if in fact it is a bug and not a problem with the target) for this tracking protection feature? Or should I just go to bugzilla?

  You can report a bug on Bugzilla. Bugzilla is used to track the problems and improvements in the security of Mozilla like Firerox products. Problems with Tracking protection should, ideally, be created as a person in charge of the main tracking bug for this feature, the Bug #1101005.

• SQL for FLEX on the Internet

  I'm looking for some advice on technology I should look for the SQL Server 2008 database in my Adobe Air application. I'm not a programmer by trade, but some experience in VB, c# and now Actionscript/MXML & .NET. I get really well up to now with Flex Builder but have reached the stage where I need to retrieve data from a SQL Internet box. I had limited success with WSDL, return the single variables but experience a known bug in Flex trying to generate the required classes to pull in the tables .NET data or data sets. According to the following criteria, can someone tell me areas/technologies that I should look at?
  
  1. back-end server - currently a single Windows Server 2008 Standard with IIS and SQL 2008 Standard. Intention is to separate and to provide the redunancy using a pair clustered SQL boxes and separated from the IIS servers to host the SOAP services.
  2. customer - running Adobe Air, must authenticate using a username that is stored locally. The authentication server should also carry out inspections on the IP address of the client.
  3. all communications between the client and the server must be secured.
  4. on the first connection to the server, the client will be forced to read in about 10 small tables, the more important that with up to about 500 lines of string variables (that is, no data of big picture / binary worry)
  5. Subsequently, the customer will have to check-in for updates as often as possible - at least once every 15 seconds. Updates would often be 0-10 lines and never more than 200.
  6. the potential to evolve up to nearly 2,000 customers.
  
  If you have any questions please ask away. From what I've read so far, WSDL can be slow and inappropriate. I've seen Enterprise Services mentioned but not really sure what is even. Must do more reading.

  Consider the data encoding in AMF format before sending to the client. This point compares several approaches to data communication, the best performance was achieved with the AMF (Select "Flex AMF - 5000 lines" menu drop-down):
