  I use JDEV 11.1.2.0.0 and the scenario as follows. I use DeptVO as a read-only table. On the page load needed to display only 5 records and during the click on a navigation button need to display the next set of 5 collection. Please suggest if no default property is available which helps to get the same thing.

  1 used autoHeightRows property but the table is reduced in height to 5 and there is a vertical scroll bar that scrolls to see the next set of lines.
  2 rangeSize to 5 no still no change.

• Initialization of an element on the page loading

  Hi all -
  I have a LOV cascading on a page with a tabular report. The user connects and selects a value in LOV1 which then pushes the values that appear in LOV2. All right.
  
  To meet a new requirement, I changed the SQL query behind LOV1 while for some users a single value is set up by default in LOV1 based on: APP_USER. It works fine, except that because these users no longer need to select a value in the list, return value from the element that animates the second LOV is not be filled. The result is that the second LOV now has no value. I've tested this in just trying to show the item which is defined in LOV1 in the page header (& P15_LANGUAGE) and on the page load it returns null, even if LOV1 indicates the correct display value.
  
  I tried to create dynamic action to the point of loading the page, but it goes right in a loop and continually refreshes the page. I can set up a sample application, but if all goes well, there is a quick solution to this. I searched the Forum but can't find anything that specifically addressed this issue.

  It's the difference between what is happening in the browser vs. database (session state).

  The calculation updates a value in session state for the item page, which can then be used in queries and pl/sql.

  The SQL in the LOV populates the list of selection rendered on the page. This makes SQL refers to this variable binding, that the value exists in the session state.

  So already when opening the page, the select list had values in (browser), and the browser also displays a selected value because there is no option zero. But before sending the page, there is no need to adjust anything in session state - what is ultimately a table in the base of the APEX.
  Calculating forces a value in session state when the lov child makes, there is therefore a value in that variable binding - so record return.

• Get the values of default table row when the page loads

  I am running JDev 11.1.1.7. We have a page that contains two tables in a relationship of the master / detail of nickname. We can do a real master ADF / detail with view items related because the query for the 2nd table is complex and works best when queries with binding settings. The View object for the 2nd table has a request with 2 link params as it can get in the first table. Thus, when a line is selected in the first table we want to execute ExecuteWithParams on the object from view of the table 2. We do it in the Bean managed for the page in a method that is the selection to the first table listener. It works fine except when the page initially loads, the first line is selected by default. When the default value is selected the selection listener is not triggered.

  I've seen the suggestion of not having a line selected by default when the page loads by removing the value selectedRowKeys on the table. However, we do not want that the 1st row of the table secondary master to be selected by default and we as the table of detail to show the correct corresponding lines.

  Not really sure when you say that the 2nd table is complex and may not use the master detail. If the settings link in the parent table, you can set the ViewLink accordingly and it should work, right?

  In any case, if you're after the execution of methods on the loading of the page, you will find the links below.

  If it's a working group, you can add a methodCall as activity by default and UTF, you can use phase listener (if listener server does not).

  I have two classic reports side by side, based on a somewhat expensive query that returns a number of lines (500) also, we have a box of research and other filters to work on this report. However, the problem is that when the page loads, since the reports run sequentially, the first report on the left side, extends all the way to the right for a few seconds before returning to the right size. I guess this happens because then the second report query (right) runs and pushes the left up. Is there a way to fix the two classic reports width such that it does not stretch on page load?

  I use Jdev 11.1.2.3.  I have a page with a simple table based on a view.  I want that he executed not the query when the page loads.  Now that I've seen many comments on this question and blog of Shay spot on that too, but what I see is the following.  When I have the table on a tab of the Panel with nothing else dressed the steps previously suggested, if the value of itterator #{! adfFacesContext.initialRender} and or affecting the value #{bindings. {LocalDate.inputValue not null}, seem to work splendedly.  But when I put a collection of panels around the table the methods above do not seem to work.  What I lack or y at - it another way I can get cela no query when the page is loaded?

  #{! adfFacesContext.initialRender} is not very good approach to accomplish your use case, because sometimes is not clear what exactly is 'initial render' (for example, when you have defined a workflow set as region...)

  Instead, you must call YourViewObject.executeEmptyRowSet () before you navigate to the page.

  I have a panelTabbed with three showDetailItem component, and I want the first showDetailItem to the tab by default whenever the page loads.
  Currently, the default tab, that's all that the tab that was last visited.

  Have a method in the managed bean that is called when the page is loaded and set the tab disclosed.

  Hello world

  I have an application with two expensive queries that takes a while to load (on the page sent). On the page there is a selection list filter. When the user changes, the page is sent and two classic run reports based on this filter. I have a dynamic action (load which) goes off on the amendment of the list and then submits the page. However, the loading icon is visible until the moment where that page is submitted. Once the page is sent, then also the reports takes some time to display all of the records. Is there a way to display some sort of an icon of loading time of the page load completely? OR this is not possible.

  Don't know what is my mistake, but the code is of the actionListener button is not called. :-(

  Well, you combined two different ways to do this (from my first answer).

  If you are still reading this, you will notice "or" before the second suggestion

  Thus,.

  1. keep your clientListener under af:document tag

  2. based on javascript, you find key (use: alert ("button");)  to see if you have referenced correctly your button in findComponentById())

  And then:

  approach 1:

  Use AdfActionEvent.queue (button, true);  queue event on your action button and implement your logic in function attached to the properties of your 'actionListener' or 'action' button (if you don't need listener server in this case)

  approach 2:

  Use AdfCustomEvent.queue (button, "onloadEvent", {}, false);  the queue onloadEvent on your button (in this case you need listener server attached to your button)

• JavaScript in "Run when the page loads", works not when paginating the results grid

  I have some Javascript in a page of the Apex, running in "run when the page loads. There is stuff to a grid of results. It works fine on the loading of the page, but then does not work when I paginate (Browse), or sort the grid. I assume that this is because the grid is sorted / paged using Ajax, which means that the page is not fully loaded.

  Yes you are right when you paginate it doesn't reload the page (at least in this case).

  You must use the event after Refresh in the dynamic actions and run javascript also, you would probably need the dynamic scope

  In the code, I see that you have linked the selectItems list to the value property of selectManyListbox which is incorrect. List of the selectItems must be bound to the value property of f: selectItems and the value property of SelectManyListbox should point to a variable of the list with the getters and setters. If you want to show something is selected by default, you must initialize the list linked to the value property with the values you wanted to show as selected.
