• Receive the error on the logging message indicating "problem accessing your user profile.

About a week or two ago I called Microsoft and Security Support technician run my laptop in safe mode to remove a virus preventing me access to the internet. This problem has been resolved. I have not used my laptop again since then until today.

• Cannot access c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows

  I am running windows 7 and is struggling to access c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows

  I have all my permissions, but I can't see that folder

  When I go to c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\ and try to create the windows folder, it says it already exists, but I don't see it in the folder.

  I have all the correct settings on the Security tab and is the owner

  my desktop background is black and I can not install programs like Skype

  How can I fix? I spend a few hours Googling and couldn't find an answer. it told me to change the security settings, but I double and triple checked all permissions are allowed.

  Method 1

  Connect to the new user account and try to copy the data from the old user account.

  1. click on the start menu, and then click computer.

  2. click the button hold in the upper left corner and choose Folder Options.

  3. on the view tab, check "Show the hidden files and folders" and click OK to save the settings.

  4. navigate to the folder C:\Users\(old user name).

  Note: I guess that Windows 7 is installed on the C: partition.

  ((5 copy all the files and folders in the C:\Users\(old folder user name) in the folder C:\Users\(new user name).

  Note: To copy all of the files, we can press Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C in the folder C:\Users\(old user name). After that, go to the folder C:\Users\(new user name), click Ctrl + V.

  Method 2

  1. right click on the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

  2. click on advanced and then click the owner tab.

  3. click on edit and then do one of the following:

  To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups and enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group and then click OK.

  To change the owner to a user or a group is listed in the change owner to box, click the new owner.

  4. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the replace the owner of sub containers and objects check box.

  5. click OK and then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

  You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

  All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.

  Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

  6. click on OK and then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

• Problem of DPS Custom store front (please...)

  A few months ago I built a front store using API 1 DPS. But it does not load the content automatically when the user install on first use. If I pressed on reload button and it became work.

  Recently, I need to further develop the front shop personalised using DPS API 2 and I found this as my first step:

  Hi Angela913,

  If you want to use the API V2 we must build a custom with the library or only the library store. When you build an application with a custom store and standard library, it will automatically use the V1 API and all calls to API V2 will not work.

  So it depends on what do you (or your client), if you want to use the standard library with a custom store, use V1. If you want to have the library and a custom store, use V2.

  And finally, if you want to use the V2 API and also want a standard library, you can download a html version of the library standard here.

  When I try to open QuickLook 3 on my laptop HP ProBook 4510 s, I get the following error:

  This means that you have not configured HP QuickLook and captured user information.  However, the program is installed and activated.

  Open MSOutlook.  You should see two icons on the far right of your toolbar (to the right of "Privacy") for HP QuickLook.  They resemble (i) with the green arrows on them (the program name appears when you hover your cursor them).  I do not use Outlook Express and Vista Mail, but the icons should be here somewhere as well if you use these programs to your e-mail.

  Click on the one called "HP QuickLook préférences".

  Select a setting in the tab "Capture".  Select the "Folders" tab, and select the information you want to capture.  And to set your preferences for security on the last tab.

  Apply the settings, then click on 'OK '.   A prompt appears stating he had to enter the information in the folders that you have selected.  According to the amount of information, email etc. it may take a few minutes.

  Once you have entered the information close Outlook and turn off your computer.  When you press the QuickLook button you should not encounter the error message - because the program now "found" the information of the user.

  Use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK then go back
  and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times. Do the same for others
  accounts that may be difficult. If necessary you can also reset your password in the accounts.
  Do not forget to leave your Admin account and the other to the desired level.

  Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
  repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

  DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!
