  A few days ago a posted a question on how to make the column name in a non-interactive report
  out like the lowercase. (original post: lowercase first letter on behalf of the non-interactive report column )
  I use Theme13, which is probably the only theme that forces the first letter
  a column in a report uppercase name.
  
  
  
  
  In any case, I received several responses, including the response that I applied on my page.
  Then I went back to make the column sortable and which denies the alternative CSS and
  the first letter of the name of the column is back in uppercase... arrrggghhh!
  
  Are there any other suggestions on how to force lowercase with Theme 13 and a sortable column?

• Display of precision for the timestamp interactive report

  Hi all
  
  I have converted to date of 'old' data type to "timestamp (1) with the local time zone" in the database tables.
  
  When I view these fields in interactive report, it appears with a precision of digits 6 (oracle default), but when I use the command SQL under APEX it display them with an accuracy of only 1 digit under the column of database definition.
  APEX always see these columns as a DATE type.
  
  Anyone know how to view these columns as they stored in the database? (i.e. precision of 1 digit)
  and how can I change time zone session inside the Apex to check this new columns works correctly?

  I've created an interactive report with its form (goal to create and edit).
  Then, I created a new project with its early date and email id that is assigned to the project.
  When I clicked on the edit button, it opens the edit form and displays the same date, I entered but email id is not displayed.
  Instead, it shows the default value of the e-mail ID LOV, which is "- select Email ID -"
  How can I view the identification of email that I entered?

  Hello Guy,.

  To discuss your design: why not store the PM_PERSON ID in the PROJECT table? Now, you store addresses several times (in PM_PERSON and in many PROJECT files), what happens if the email address change... (purely hypothetical, of course)...
  And create a foreign key between the PROJECTS and PM_PERSON also...

• problem with the customization of the menu bar for the time of execution...!

  I have created a user interface and want to give all selectable options to the user through cutomized launch time menu bar. However, I am facing a problem with that:

  If I click on any menu item in the bar, I'm not able to choose another option until the first is finished. For example, control of the execution of a test sure if I give 'run' and 'pause' of the goods covered by 'test' in the menu bar and click 'Run', the control does not return to the menu bar to choose the other option ("pause" in this case) until execution of receives test it more. Making 'pause' option useless. Is there a way to fix this?

• Download the conditional interactive report

  I created a region conditional interactive report that appears when the button is clicked.

  Initially, in the State of the interactive area, I chose request = Expression1 and expression I gave the name of button, it didn't work.

  Then I had an idea of community to set a branch on the same page by setting the request for the name of the button when the button is clicked.

  The report is displayed conditionally the click of the button, but when try to download the report by clicking on download when the region itself is removed from the action menu.

• Remove the download interactive report HTML

  I have interactive reports where the link in the column on a specific column must be dynamic, which means, that it can not be hard coded in the column binding attributes. Here is an example of such a report query:

  As see you in the above example, the link in the "Object name" column could be redirect page 183 or on page 162, based on the column "Description of object Type.
  
  The column 'Object name' attribute has 'Type display"the value"Standard report column. This works perfectly well in the UI of the report. However, if I download the IR data (in any format) since the Actions-> download menu, the object name column values are downloaded with HTML characters such as:

  < href="f?p=15548:183:6072319179284::::P183_OBJECT_ID:255245470513999672860510787772603748464">JP010000</>

  where JP010000 is the name of the object.
  
  Is there a way I can strip the HTML code of the column values in the downloaded files?

  You can set the query link, make hidden, use the value in the link URL column. Thus, your query will look like the following:

  Change the display type of the LINK column hidden. In the column link, enter #OBJECT_NAME # as the link text. Select the target URL. Enter #LINK # as the value of the URL. APEX 4.2, you can do this more easily by setting the HTML column Expression.

  We are the migration of Express 4.2.1 application at Apex 5.0.2

  
  

  We use the 22 Bluejay theme.

  In my interactive reports, I the text entered in the regions 'Header and footer' > footer text, including 4 Apex, rendering at the foot of the report.

  The Apex 5, the same text renders in a new column to the right of the search bar of interactive report.

  Is it a question of model, or a builder bug?

  I can't find where in the model I can adjust the positioning of the text 'Footer region'

• Multiple queries on the same interactive report

  Is it possible to the button click, change the query for a report interactive?

  Basically what I want to be able to do is on the page by default IR there is a selection list. When the user clicks on the menu drop down and select an option, a search box appears. I want that this research working as a second IR query and third IR query searches that are slightly different queries.

  I know there is the filter option, but users do not want to have to go through and Insert commas between each value, so the second and third queries correct this, I'm not sure how to combine the three pages.

  I fixed this problem on my tabular reports by creating a new report on the same page and making it conditional to show only when the selection type is a certain, but as far as I know, you can't have multiple interactive reports on a single page.

  One thing to note:

  The example is in version 4.2 but my company uses 4.0 which is where I need to implement this.

  If there is another way to do this, I'm open to other ideas.

  It's just an extension of what you already created in the Page 3 and 4

  It is very important that you learn to "think in sets.

  Once you have a definition for your dataset, you can easily create SQL statements

  What you're trying to do is to define a set of data that follows these rules:

  • If the search type is null--> return all ranks
  • If the input box is nowhere--> return all ranks
  • If search type = "name"--> return lines which correspond to ename (...)
  • If search type = 'job'--> return lines which match job in (...)

  Your rules will apply in the WHERE clause as:

  WHERE

  : P3_SEARCH_TYPE is null

  or: P3_SEARCH_INPUT is null

  or (: P3_SEARCH_TYPE = 'name' and ename (...))

  or (: P3_SEARCH_TYPE = "work" and work in (...))

  I already modified it Page 3 since it was 90% of the required stuff.

  I met the problem when I create interactive report with the BLOB column, I create the sample report and I used the GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC function to display the image in the report but I face these problems
  1 - the images do not appear when I run the report and all the images are empty
  2-i press should edit on any column and go edit page and then return to report once again and the image appear
  3-all folder have the same image (the image with the id that I pressed on)
  I mean when I pressed the record with ID 1 and go to edit the page, then back to the report the image with ID 1 appear in all records in the report, and when to change the id of the same question appear. I don't know what the problem is.

  Didn't it occur to you that it is important to understand exactly how you have used the function in the report? What is the report query?

  Looks like you pass item values to the edit page for the values of service instead of the report column. See the example of SELECT in apex_file.get_blob_file_src to see how to use in a report. The values of p_v1 (and p_v2 if necessary) must come from columns of the report, not the page elements.

  Why do you need to use the function at all? Declarative using BLOB format is recommended.

  Does anyone know a way to translate the titles registered interactive report for a multilingual application?

  I mean saved reports reports of type "Default Alternative" that are defined by an administrator (so not by end users).

  Unfortunately, there is not a way for you to translate the names of the default Alternative to the interactive reports.  This is a known bug issued / filed against Application Express.

  I'm trying to customize the name of a menu group and a new element in xlWebApp of the IOM.
  
  I added in console design and assigned to a group. I am able to see the left menu item.

  I've added lines in the xlWebAdmin, the xlWebAdmin_en_US, the xlWebAdmin_en property files

  I've deployed the ear on oimserver/xellerate file and ran patch_jboss.sh
  Restart JBoss.

  The properties files are picked on OIM_HOME\xellerate\DDTemplates\xlWebApp\classes during the correction process. Give it a try.
