  You can not color the layer itself, you can set a color of outline for objects in a layer. Then you can set the color of the outline as the highlight color for the objects in the layer.   I have a Date component on my page and basically I'm trying to disable the Saturday and Sunday from the calendar that I made using the disabledDaysOfWeek attribute. In doing so, I get a message by default tool tip (in bold) who says:

  Exactly as you would for any other event. Open the app calendar tap the '+' at the top right. Create an event that is all day and repeats every year.

  Then paste this ~/Library text in the Menu Finder > go > go to folder... window and select 'go '. This will open the folder library users.

  Then, open the Preferences folder in the library folder and move the file com.apple.iCal.plist on the desktop.

  Open an outbound/inbound session or restart and open the calendar. Health check.
