Cut a single clip in the BODY 5.03

Hello

Is it possible to cut a single clip? I have 3 clips in a row on the same video and audio tracks; would it be possible to mute the Middle clip, or should I put it on separate tracks and then cut the whole audio track?

Thank you.

  • How to cut and sort clips on the fly... ??

I have a lot of video of table tennis (ping-pong) that I am the first edition.  I don't do anything too fancy.  Mainly two objectives.  A simple video summary of the matches, but then I also want to cut out all the bad things, too, so I can study to see what I'm doing wrong.

To get the highest point in I just read on the side of the Source video and use the brand of beginning and Mark Out to select parts of the video, and then I just videos that insert into the timeline.  In the end, I have a nice timeline of all the highlights and I can do what I want with it.

At this point, however, I have to go back in the all-new and basically do the same thing, but mark the other sections, that I want to go out and add those timeline up to my video "shadows."

Looks like there will probably be a better way.  How can I manage two of these objectives with a single run through the video?  Can I manage 2 separate calendars, or is there a way to simply record the clip that I scored quickly so that I have easily add to the timeline later?  What would be great is if I could just mark the clips on the way, then save clips in separate folders and return to use those on a timeline later.  Then I can mix the two and have fun with that, too.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.  I feel I'm doubling the amount of time I should be working on this stuff through the videos twice.

    Thank you!

Another option would be to make one pass in the Source monitor and save a bunch of subitems. Here is a thread discussing the workflows of keyboard: Re: Question on making several sub-elements of a fast

If you appoint highlights evidence with a base name and the shadows with another, it would be easy to deposit each batch into its own sequence.

  • How open only a single clip in the source monitor Panel?

OK, the answer to this question may be simple... If all goes well...

Right now whenever I open a clip in the source monitor Panel it adds to the drop-down list.

Well... but I'm opening and closing hundreds of clips per day, and after a while I noticed that it seemed to slow down the entire system PPCS5.5.

It seems that the PP seems to keep each clip I open... active.

    Screen shot 2011-11-07 at 1.25.06 PM.png

Is it possible not to allow only a single clip to be open at a time in the source monitor... other than having to close their first? (would be ideal if there was some sort of shortcut as shift-doubleclick)

No, nothing like this. I do not think that this opening up of dozens or several clips in the Panel Monitor Source would lead to slowing down the system important (at least, I never noticed this). I suppose there might be some kind of memory leak, but I'm not sure.

What is your source footage? The system seems more sensitive after you close the clips in the Source monitor?

In FCP7 I could rename a clip in final cut PRO, and then use a menu command to change the real file name to match:

  • CS6 hearing files not no projection in the body

Agency, I did the "Edit...". Edit in Adobe Audition... Command in sequence. This opened all the clip audio files as a group at the hearing as scheduled. Has been done with the change in the hearing, saved projected hearing via "file...". Save command.

To return to the body (which was open all the time). Nothing. Not a trace of the changes. Not anywhere I can find.

    (1) what is supposed to happen? I thought I'd see the audio files newly published in the project Panel and the audio file newly published on the timeline. But, what I see?

    (2) if I'm supposed to get the files in the body of this operation, and I don't have, what did wrong? Said in other words, there are tutorials out there that illustrate the correct way to do this body-> Audition-> dance of the body?

    (3) at this point, I guess that my way is just to export the project to hearing in body manually via the «multitrack...» Export to Adobe Premiere Pro". Is there a better way?

I thought about it. By trial and error. Argh... The answer is the behavior I see is correct, if is not intuitive.

Hearing, behaves differently depending on whether you use "edit..edit in adobe audition... sequence ' or ' edit..edit in adobe audition... clip" in the body.  If the later, it behaves more or less similar to the use of dynamic links - that is to say, it automatically replaces the audio portion of the clip on the timeline of the organization when you save the project to the hearing of the hearing. Nice, smooth, etc.

But when you use send the entire sequence, he cannot actually do. To retrieve a value of entire sequence audio in the body, you must do it manually via the hearing "multitrack... export to adobe first pro ' command. This will find the right directory and open the project in body organism (if there is more than one organization project file in the directory, you will be asked as you want), then it will create a new bin in the project body panel and agency will import new files to Audition. Then, you have to manually, drag the new audio file on the timeline. He must do it because it gives you is a single element (the audio of the complete sequence in the form of single *.wav file) and not a collenction of clips.

I'm adding to this topic so that anyone looking for information about this behavior between the Organization and the hearing in the future can perhaps be pointed in the right direction.

  • How to edit clips in the AE and put back them in the body? (CS5.5)

    Okay, then, here.

I edit my main footage in Premiere Pro. I recently bought a denoising software which is only compatible with After Effects, so I've been using the denoiser plugin in After Effects. Once I changed my basic video cut in first, I select all clips (included audio) in the timeline panel and open in a new model of EI. Once it has been opened, I do all my video major alterations in AE (for example, noise reduction). Now, when I try to export the project as a project of first Pro (PP) and open it in the first, it does not load the project. It's just an empty sequence. This isn't a big deal, because I tried something else. I tried connecting the composition of EI EI to PP which works, but it is very slow and precomposes all individual clips in a video clip.

So, just to go on it again, that's what I did: cut clips in PP > selected all the clips in the timeline of PP and them open in a new AE comp > published the individual clips inside the model AE w / effects that are not supported by PP (only AE supports the reductive effect) > open the AE comp edited pp > then the model came as a clip video précomposé instead of individual clips.

So, my question is, how can I get the model of EI to stay as individual sequences when I open it in PP in case I need to adjust something? Is there a way to do this? Or should I just do the very last denoise effect?

    Two other things:

    (1) I noticed that it is extremely slow in PP to render a model of EI parts... is it just because of the added effects?

    (2) I transcode my videos to the ProRes 422 format before I put it in PP. Once I put the clips in AE and then again in PP (if I figure out how), the clips will always be the same ProRes codec? I need them to be the same codec due to the adjustment of colours and effects later in the post.

Thank you if you can answer this! ANY help is appreciated! I have explained this about as good I can, so if you don't understand my question, just ask, and I'll try to give you more information. Thank you!!

If you go to re - edit your shots in first after the application of effects in AE, so you better make the shots in AE with handles on them. Do not try and bring in a full movie. Nobody knows what they are doing it. I even add handles to my dynamic link shots in Premiere Pro and I rarely bring along only one at a time. To add handles, the simplest method is to drag the photo to another layer in the body and extend them the entry points and. You can also change the length of the comp in AE, but be careful, what AE returns no audio tracks to first so you will lose the audio sync if you're not careful. If I have a bunch of shots that need to be addressed in AE I fucks cut into body leaving plenty of room (handles) on entry points, treat and make in AE and bring back return it in Premiere Pro and make fine cut there. Suspicion of a freebie come: you don't have to put your whole movie in a single sequence. When you do what I just described, I will often change the transformed sequence and then bring this sequence in my editing of final movie. That's how films are cut. Each Act, perhaps even each scene is cut as a separate sequence, then the sequences are assembled in the film. Nobody I know features cuts to cut the entire project in a single calendar unless they are so tied to the time that the first edition is the one that they should go with.

Second, yes it will take organization long to make shots turned into AE with effects because you went with effects and you also now run both applications at the same time on your system. See tha first response for the solution. You will work faster if make you things in AE and then replace the film premiered.

Thirdly, if you transcode to any codec, then make the same codec, everything will remain the same. If you are using dynamic links, then the rendering will be to the same codec for the whole of the project first. AE bit depth always process uncompressed to the project until the pixels are sent to the renderer. There is no rendering for dynamic links settings. He always uses the same rendering and compression settings used in the first.

  • How to edit several clips in AE for a project in the body?

I have a project in already developed body. Now, I need to remove the grain (noise) and stabilize the shaky images for almost every clip in the film (there are about 13 clips). Is there an effective way to improve myself each of these clips in AE and make the and overright old video files with video files new, perfect? Dynamic links does not seem to do the job.

Any help is great. Thank you!

We've been over this before. You have two choices. Open the clips you want to work on EI and make them your codec to production, or use Dynamic Link. If the show is pulled and cut it exactly as you want it to look, then dynamic link is the best way to go. If this isn't the case, then working on individual clips in AE and replacing the images later are the best option. There is no easy way to replace the clips unless treat you the move together, rendered under the same name, then replace the original file with the fixed.

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · This occurs when you are working on any specific file format?

    · Were there any changes made on the computer?

    · You play the file in mode full screen?

    Change hardware acceleration

    a. you can try to change the hardware acceleration in the middle and check (you can try another level too.)

    b. right-click on a space empty on the desktop.

    c. go to the resolution of the screen.

    d. click Advanced settings, and then click the "troubleshooting."

    e. set hardware acceleration in the middle. (Here you'll get the only option your video card sound support).

  • Logical to change the body and move to final cut workflow

I'm working on a project where I get the raw images, make a rough edition and move images to another filmmaker who works in final cut pro.  What is the most logical way for us to work together on this with a minimum of loss of quality?  Let's start with HD images.

Welcome to the wonderful world of multi-platform publishing. Probably a bit late now, but here is the easiest way that you could have done:

1.) using SOUL to transcode all the sequences that you plan to use, let's say, QuickTime using something like the codec, Avid DNxHD, which is sheet music for both systems. Coffee, or rather, many of them while you wait.

    2.) change your sequence

3.) export using export FCP XML of the body (Note that agency exports in fact the entire project in this way, not only the sequence that you want to export; might want to clean it up first.)

(4.) using the project manager - which I hope it is the height of his name in a future itearation of the body - copy your project and its images on the external drive. If you have Windows 7 and Mac has at least 10.6.8 you as its file system exFat.

5.) Import FCP XML and using its project manager much, much better to reconnect or moving of the footag.

If you really, really want to have headaches, try the reverse where the FCP Editor uses images of proxy...

  • How do I cut a clip at the current position without affecting the other tracks?

I know that I can use sequence-> add amend to cut a clip at the current position, but unlike with the razor tool all tracks intersect. How can I cut just the track associated with the current position?

Target the desired track, or securities.

    Block all other tracks.

These are two ways to limit cuts.
