Czech as the language of display in Win RT

Hello

Today, I bought 11 Yoga-Lenovo laptop with Windows RT pre instaled. I tried to put the language in Czech, but it won't work as a display language as the language of keyboard, date and time. Tried all of the guides here, but nothing works. Should I wait for an update of the system?
Thanks for help.

Hello

Thank you for answering my question, it turns out that I had to download some updates and then download appeared there :)

    Hello

Browsing the forum here it looks like there are a few options, you can try:

If the language bar is not listed in the menu toolbars, you do not have many input languages installed on your computer. You must add other languages using region and language in Control Panel. For more information, see Add or change an input language

This is an additional option of "Old GrayGary" with the link here:

    http://www.techsupportforum.com/members/113412.html

    Quick-Fix:

Do you have a language icon in your system tray? (If you switch between two choices of language installed / entry screen, the current selection must display in the system tray: for example IN English, JP for Japanese, etc.). Make sure that you have not chosen to "Hide inactive icons" in your bar spots Vista 'Properties' - or the icon can not be displayed. If you see such an icon, you should be able to right click on this icon and choose 'Restore the language bar' in the option dialog box.

    Quick-Fix #2:

Since the language bar is a system setting, and the problem is recent, you might be able to recover your old settings using Vista System Restore utility - using a restore point out just before the language bar disappeared. You would probably go to Windows Update to reinstall all critical patches that have arrived since the time that the restore point was created originally.

    _______________

Must neither of these approaches works, try to visit the region and Language Options in the Vista Control Panel.

    Control Panel

    Clock, language and region

    Regional and Language Options

If you use different languages with your devices, you visit the "Keyboards and languages" tab and select "Change keyboard" - in the "text Services" and input languages window, the middle tab is "Language bar" - I think that the option to show or hide the taskbar is available here. If you use different languages for display only, you can go directly to the option "Change display language" from the regional and Language Options (and try the "Language bar" tab there).

  • Why XP does not display Japanese characters after you add the language pack?

I installed XP on a new drive after a virus killed the other installation of it.  I noticed that XP did not display the titles to my Japanese music.  I tried to install the language pack, but he's really changed anything.  They were clearly visible on my old version before it crashed. Any suggestions?

    Imran M.

    Thanks for your reply!

I need Japanese for display on all browsers (IE 8.0) and Opera, and I need it to appear inside Windows Media Player. (version 11).

I do not download language files.  I only installed the language pack from my drive XP (service pack 2).

Today, however, I started my computer and some "automatic updates" waiting to be installed.  I went ahead and install.  Afterwards, I checked WMP and all my Japanese music correctly displayed in Japanese.  (I don't know why).  Then, I went to IE and jumped a couple of Japanese pages and found that they were showing the language correctly.

Then... I don't know how to solve the problem itself, but things seem to work the way I need them for.  It is a little frustrating not knowing how the problem has been fixed, in which case it should never show himself again, but no real sense to worry about this.

    Thanks for your help!

  • I mess with the display option (win + p), monitor losing signal, cannot bring him back.

At first, I have a monitor, I tried something and end by pressing win + p and change the mode of display for projector only, losing the signal on my screen and can't put back T_T.

Try win + P several times, it does not work. (A DVI connect to display the map - work).

Then I stop, reboot, no signal is returned.

Then I have connected 2 monitors and signal is back, I can change all fashion perfectly. (1 DVI + 1 D - sub - work)

But, when I remove another monitor signal back to the first step. No signal to monitor. (1 DVI works again - not)

So now I have to connect Monitor 2 (even if I don't use it) and there is signal monitor, if I remove one, I lose everything.

Do you have any idea how to fix this annoying problem?

  • How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7?

How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7? I see Eclipse Helios can show the loading progress bar in the icon in the taskbar of WINDOWS 7 at startup.

Is not the feature that provides JavaFX, you must write a native connection called technology such as JNI to make specific Windows API call for updating the icon in the taskbar for the application.

Maybe you could go through the Eclipse source code to see how Eclipse and see if you can make use of the same mechanism in your application.

More tips on how you can implement this are outside my area of expertise.

    Hello Tony.

You must download the version you want (see this this page for all systems and languages), uninstall the one you have (no data is lost) and install the version that you just downloaded. You can choose not to uninstall your current version and just install the new version in a different location, but who can create a mess for inexperienced users.

  • NB100 - how to change the language of Win XP English

    Hello world!

I just bought a NB100 from a friend, but the language is in Arabic. I could use it very well, but I prefer the system in English language.

How can I do this without a CD-ROM drive?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    OS: Windows XP

Operating system is product specific for each country and the country the laptop will be delivered with a specific language.
I don't really know how this works for the Arab countries but if you want to have BONES on the English language, you must buy the OS on some languages and make the clean OS install.
As far as I know that Windows is not a type of multilingual OS and for each language, you should separate CD/DVD installations.

If possible get the media facilities on English. All the drivers, tools and utilities, you can download Toshiba support download page.

    Right.

    First of all, Imran.

You were there enough useless. Almost obstructive in fact. Zay offers to WRITE and BUILD the Microsoft Myanmar Language Pack. He wanted the coordinates of a person in MS to whom he could talk. NOT the Service Support automated! Someone real and TRUE! Think you can do it for him?

    Hi Zay,

As a user of Vista 64 with friends of Myanmar on Facebook, I'd love to see a Myanmar language pack. Many of the positions set up are in the Myan' script and I can not see, and even less READ.

However, I think you'll get anywhere with Microsoft. They are notoriously closed outside/freelance programming as evidenced by their refusal to make available source code. If you are unable to COPYRIGHT IT FIRST in the program language pack before you give MS any version of it. MS are known was "appropriated" before independent software, claiming MS Copyright Infringement.

Good luck with your efforts, however. I can't wait to see such a language pack in the future.

You can purchase a license of Windows 7 Home Premium [English], but you will have to redo a custom of your Spanish installation of Windows 7 Starter Setup. Windows 7 does not support cross-language upgrades. The advantage that you would do if it is, you will have to install English, you have will reinstall applications and drivers however.

  • How to change the language of windows 8 pro homescreen?

in fact my friend bought a new notebook in which he has installed windows 8 pro assistance from the manufacturer of the laptop service center but its home screen is in hindi (Indian language), he wants change in English but it is not possible, he also tried to sign--> language and the clock settings, but not use. Please help!

    Hi,.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience caused to your friend and I will definitely help you.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you have problems with changing the language of the home screen.

    1. press WIN + R to launch the dialog box RUN. Type regedit and press ENTER. It will open the registry editor.

2 now go to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SystemProtectedUserData

3 under "SystemProtectedUserData" key, you will see a key with the name similar to S-1-5-21-x-x-x-x. Under this key, go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SystemProtectedUserData\S-1-5-21-x-x-x-x\AnyoneRead\LocaleInfo

4 key 'LocaleInfo' is that we need to change the format of date and time screen locking. This key contains all the required information has been stored in the INI file in Windows 8 test versions.

5 click the 'LocaleInfo' key and in the right pane, you will see strings such as:

    • Calendar
    • Clock
    • GeographicRegion
    • Language
    • Nomlocale
    • NativeDigits
    • SubstitutionMode
    • TimeFormat

6 we will play with only the following strings:

    • Language
    • Nomlocale
    • TimeFormat

You may need to take ownership of the registry key before you edit it. Please consult this guide to learn how to take ownership of a registry key.

7 first talk time format. If your Windows 8 lock screen shows the time in 24-hour format, the string "TimeFormat" in your base of registry Windows 8 could be defined to hh: mm tt. Change it to hh: mm tt and it'll start showing the time in 12-hour format.

Same principle applies to the 12-hour format. If your Windows 8 lock screen shows the time in 12-hour format, the string "TimeFormat" could be defined to hh: mm tt in your system. Change it to hh: mm tt and it'll start showing the time in 24-hour format.

8 now turn of display language. If you want to display the name of the day and the date in another language on the lock screen, you can change the values of the nomlocale and channels of language to your language code of your choice.

For example, if you want to display information in the Hindi language, change the nomlocale string values and the language on the screen - IN and lock will begin showing the name of the day and date in Hindi language.

You can use any language code such as en-US for English, en - us for German, en - US for the French, ru - RU, Russia, etc.

Here are a few screenshots of Windows 8 lock screen showing the name of the day and date in various languages:
