• iPhone, iPad Air 2 not recognized by iTunes

  Very frustrated right now. Given that Apple's Support is not in contact with return despite requests, the story will go here. I have Windows 10, iPhone 6 + and iPad Air 2. Last weekend I was invited to and did pass to iTunes 12.5.1.21. Plugged my iPhone 6 +. Not recognized by iTunes; 'sync' gray. Tried the same thing with my iPad 2 Air. Same result. I get no error message.  Here are my troubleshooting - what I'm missing, Apple?

  1. Lightning card Checked, works fine with other devices.
  2. Rebooted PC.
  3. Rebooted IPhone.
  4. Restarted iPad Air 2.
  5. I've tried different start up sequences (start iTunes connect manually; first)
  6. Went to 'Upgrade device via Device Manager' - these devices are working properly.
  7. Updated my iPhone and iPad 2 air for iOS 10 successfully.
  8. Apple email support; 48 hours later they gave me another email address for contact.
  9. Chose the Contact Apple Support via phone option - screen "we will call you - your phone will ring at any time.  Still waiting for the phone to ring.
  10. From Discussions on Apple's site with troubleshooting tips, have tried all suggestions with no luck - If iTunes does not recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod - Apple Support.
  11. I even opened and closed the blinds completely throughout my house to see if that would help.  Go figure.
  12. The last resort on them, says "Contact Apple support" - see #9 above.  Twice.

  Apple-Support - What should I do at this point?  I'm all ears, and Android is looking better and better during my next upgrade.

  Happy to report that I finally found a position that has fixed this. Someone has to give Community contributor turingtest2 a price, they had an incredible post in communities that have corrected my problem.  See below for the excellent suggestions.

• iPhone / iPad build do not install it on the iPad 3?

  Just updated 3 of our magazines using the viewer v20 generator and the IPA now includes a version iPhone and iPad (retina both too).  Test version of development via iTunes, it settles on the iPad 2, but not 3...  Anyone else seeing this?  Any ideas?

  It was built using 2.0.1 or 2.0.2 I forgot which.  I have just upgrade 2.0.3 and see if that fix it...

  Additional:

  iTunes is call an unknown error (0xE8000008).

  On the iPad, I get an error that says: iTunes Sync failed to install com.xxAppNamexx.

  Got it to work.  Not sure we fixed:

  1 recreates the IPA files in the viewer generator 2.0.3.

  2 remove apps from iTunes and iPad 3.

  3. synchronized re.

  Yes, this is normal behavior, as most of the USB ports on computers do not provide enough current to recharge an iPad properly.

I use a USC - C female USB adapter (purchased in an Apple store at the recommendation of Apple employees to connect the Apple TV and a USB 2 connection USB 2 cable given Apple adapter to the USB port of an iMac (iMac12, 1).) I did everything in the recommended sequence:

  Unplug the HDMI cable cable and the power of your Apple TV.

  Open iTunes on your computer. Make sure you have the latest version. (12.3.1.23)

  Connect the USB - C or Micro USB cable to the back of your Apple TV and to a USB port on your computer. (see above)

  If you have an Apple TV (3rd or 4th generation), connect the power supply cable.

  It does not show in iTunes. What should I do?

  PS I can't help but wonder why there is a USB cable to the lightning with the Apple TV, which cannot be used at all with an Apple TV instead of a USC - C to a USB cable which could be used to connect a Mac.

  Since you have a Dev system you may be better off in the Dev forum, I guess there's little about the community of users who have experience with what difference there is between dev and consumer...

  Mobile Lightroom will not synchronize smart Collections. You can always copy the result of a smart collection to a normal collection and sync that.
