  I suggest you to start the computer in normal mode to reproduce the error that would put the key in the registry.

  If the reproduced problem go to the key that you have unchecked and write a note of the location and the order of the key.

  Locate the key on the computer. And you may need to remove the key.

  It comes to the hardware layer for Extraction (HAL) DLL.  Look for a copy in % systemroot%\ServicePackFiles.  If it is not in this directory, you probably have not installed the latest Service Pack.  If this isn't the case for updating hal.dll, install Service Pack 3 now the CD-ROM (see below), not Windows Update in order to run the (SFC) System File Checker utility in the future.  If she is in... \ServicePackFiles, recopy the % systemroot%\system32.  You need to be in safe mode to copy this file.  Do not copy from %systemroot%\$NTServicePackUninstall$ if it is there.

  It shouldn't be all the executable files in the Temp folder. This file was probably part of a virus or spyware infection that has been partially removed.   Contrary to what the 2 people above said me, single .dll files downloading from sites is a very bad idea and the exact thing you're NOT supposed to do, as the .dll file could easily contain viruses.

  This error is caused by a lack of installation of DirectX. Usually some DX files are already installed, but Setup cannot overwrite them. In my case, some of the files in \windows\SystemWOW64 have been accidentally encrypted, and the Setup program does not overwrite them. I had to manually delete these files for the Setup program to succeed. The cause may be different for you, but following these steps should help to understand which files DX are the cause of the problem.
  1. Install DirectX User Runtimes (refreshed June 2010) of http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...ang=en&id=8109
  You will be asked to choose the directory to put the files extracted from the cabin.

  2. run dxsetup.exe from the directory in step 1.

  3. installation failure will probably happen. Look at \Windows\Logs\DXError.log and find the report. INF in the error log file.
  For example:

  Has no API: SetupInstallFromInfSection()
  Error: (5) - access is denied.
