Dark area on LCD

I have a T60 2623-D6U running XP, all updates, without any problems of system.

This model has a high resolution 14 inch lcd.  A month ago a dark box appeared on the sixth lower part of the screen,

starting around the middle of the water and continue on the indicator light panel.  It is about three inches in height

and two inches wide.  It gets no worse, but it's very annoying.  Is it useful to replace the lcd screen?  How

determine the exact number of part? Is it possible that it is not the lcd screen that is the problem?

I don't have any problems when you use the external monitor.

These really healthy symptoms like the control panel. Looking to replace the whole assembly or the naked sign? Watch out for signs of eBay. Many sellers list panels T42/T43 T60 panels. They have the same number of the manufacturer part but a different review. They don't work and will likely damage your motherboard. The assemblies together tend to run about $100-$120 + shipping cost on eBay, you will need to decide if it's bad enough to spend money. I have one on a machine that comes about, but it has not yet been tested. If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll check. If you want the bare Panel, there are several numbers of parts, but it is important that you confirm that the FRU on the back for a T60.

  • Colors in the photo died in dark areas

    I have a photosmart 309 a premium use OSX 10.6.  Recently, colors in the photo died in dark areas in the engravings.  Instead of black or grey, they are greenish or bluish.  The print quality diagnostic report shows no any bar of shades of gray between the other bars of color printed.  Ink levels show ok.  Tried to print at different levels of quality with no satisfactory results.  Any ideas?

    Found the problem.  Printer showed black photo as cartridge with ink, but it was in fact empty.  Replaced cartridge and print very well now.

  • The layer mode to make text on it the light on dark areas and vice versa?

    Hello

    PShop CS6 extended.

    I want to make a watermark for photos and have the text weak and contrasting with background while for the length of the text I have, as she travels through darkest areas that he's lighter and when in the lighter areas, it goes darker.

    Thus, the line of text could go dark light then light and then dark...

    I will also then apply a bit of relief effect to it.

    I can't find an option to layer to give to this 'contrast' effect of the dark.

    Typer in white and set its blending mode to difference. When you use the move tool to move the text layer it adapts automatically to the background color

  • RAW NEF images are completely different (darker) when they are imported into Lightroom?

    Recently I faced a problem for my RAW of NIKON D750 images after imported into Lightroom.

    For example, the brightness of the RAW images I shot in the camera is completely different after imported into Lightroom.

    Yes, the RAW files include more data that can be adjusted backwards in brighter in Lightroom, but it occurs the most noise to the image that I don't really like.

    I just curious is my setting in camera (maybe the screen is too bright perhaps?) or it is common that viewing through the camera LCD screen is brighter than the visualization in Lightroom?

    Behind closed doors (the brightness I want):

    If you want to be in non-Nikon raws software processing, turn off the ADL and leave it off.   The same applies to other settings where the camera is something special for lighting or the brightness of the camera jpg.

    ADL will deliberately underexpose the image, then artificially pushed the dark areas while leaving only brighter area.  This more dynamic compress in the camera-jpg, but will make no-Nikon software see the true underexposed image.

  • Export light and dark Photoshop filter areas?

    I want to control the size of the filter paper note (filter Photoshop > paper) and export the results of the filter with the dark areas and light areas, which produces the filter. Except the vectorization will ignore light areas and draw only the dark areas, any solution?

    Thanks for the help.  I approached the problem differently and called for a solution.

  • Determine the area of the Area Light vs. Dark

    Here's another unusual for you.  Is it possible to have Photoshop to determine if the majority of a selected area is lighter or darker color.

    For example, some pictures have a pretty consistent brightness/darkness in the whole image, which means it doesn't are not all areas that are unusually dark or light.  In other cases, a picture can be average luminosity in most parts of the photo with the extreme (black background) dark areas so "average" the brightness is reduced a bit in this area very dark even though most of the image is not necessarily this dark.

    Is it possible to split these until an estimate of just how much of a selected area is extremely dark, how much mi-tonique and how much is extremely bright?  Thank you!

    The following c.pfaffenbichler suggestion, you could do something like this to get the pixels below 33 lum...

    var hist = app.activeDocument.histogram;
    var count = 0;
    var dark = 0;
    for( var index = 0; index < 256; index++ ) {
        count = count + hist[ index ];
        if( index < (33*(100/255)) ) dark = dark + hist[ index ];
    }

    alert("Pixels in selection: " + count + "\rPixels below 33 lum: " + dark +"\rPercent below 33 lum " + ( dark/ count ) * 100 );

    You can modify the if statement for the midtones or highlights or add a couple more if statements to get all three in one pass of the index.

  • How to make the substantive focus area more dark?

    Hello

    I have the background to concentrate more dark area when I popup a window "info" with the PopUpManager.  I love the out-of-focus effect, but it would be nice if it were about 50% darker.  Does anyone know how to change this?

    This isn't a priority, but rather a strong preference on my part.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite A200 dark screen

    Hello world

    I have a problem with my screen. Suddenly it went dark. The LCD is ok and an external monitor works just as well. I don't know that it is not too expensive to repair.

    Someone an idea how much I have to invest in a service for it?

    Thnx for a response.

    > The LCD screen is ok and an external monitor works just as well. I don't know that it is not too expensive to repair.
    The cost depends on the defective part
    It seems that this issue is not related to the question of the graphics card because the external monitor is ok.

    Why are you sure that the LCD is ok?
    You see something on the laptop s?

    If so the problem may be related to FL inverter. This part is not expensive but it of difficult to replace and I think the best would be to contact a local ASP.
    The authorized service partner could provide that all need information on costs and how to manage it

  • Help, I paid for a led and everything I seem to get is lcd?

    I have a W2371D when I look in the opinion, pdf, all I get is it is a LCD? I paid for an led can someone tell me what I really? Thank you

    HP W2371d 23-inch diagonal screen is a Mointor LCD with LED backlighting. Almost all TV monitors and high current definition which are advertised as "LED" are the LCD with LED backlighting. This is done to distinguish them from the previous generation of monitors and HDTVs LCD. The previous generation used CCFLS (cold cathode fluorescent lamps) for the backlight.

    You got exactly what you paid for.

  • Areas 'Irregular' randomly across screen, very visible when we the white background

    KDL-46XBR9, Mfg Nov 2009. I notice some darker areas of spotchy throughout the image, particularly visible on white background. I bought the TV in January 1010, it is out of warranty. If someone has noticed this? I've completed all troubleshooting suggested with no luck. It is certainly a problem with Sony TV and not with other connected devices or components of the environment.

    Thank you!

    Thank you. I've done all the troubleshooting methods I can find on the various boards of Sony and the problem is definitely the TV itself, not a video outdoors or the power source. I submit this question to the SonyListens and even if them are VERY responsive and understanding, the best they could do was offer a 15% discount on a new TV on the Sony site. It wasn't enough difference to replace the my XBR9 with a comparable model. It's just very disappointing that I have owned this TV for only 3 years. I don't want to deviate from Sony TV, as I have always possessed, but 3 years is simply too early for a TV to be unusable. The only thing I have left to try, as I have nothing to lose, is to remove the back panel and reinstall all connections. Are there tricks or difficult to remove the back panel? Nothing to watch? I'm pretty handy, but would like some advice.

    Thank you!
