  OBIEE will support any OLTP/OLAP data warehouse structure. But, usually olap + obiee is the combination of having the star schema and built the star schema reports... has several advantages...

  We are facing a problem of SmartView 11.1.2.5.520 in combination with HFM 11.1.2.4.103. I would like to know if you can reproduce it.

  Children5

  We want to extract the data via "HsGetValue" for in < currency Parent > Child1, so need to entity to return node information: "Parent1.Child1." Works very well.

  Strangely enough, that's good, that the Parent2.Child1 data retrieves, although node do not exist!

  If you try it with ad hoc, an error message appears saying "Member does not exist", which is correct.

  Can someone check the BUG? If so, I'll open a SR.

  We are currently running vCenter 4.1 and are preparing to move to vCenter 5.1.  We have a camera VDR version 1.2 with a backing store (RDM).  I'm looking through the instructions here to upgrade (for version 2.0.1)

  The first steps mentioned allows you to install the latest data retrieve plug-in.  Lower on this page, another step is to remove the data store on the former unit of VDR.  VDR 1.2 is available with the new plugin VDR under vCenter 5.1 2.0.1?  Or will we need to disassemble the backup store 1.2 VDR before upgrading vCenter version 5.1 and the VDR plugin to 2.0.1?  From what I have ready it does not appear that the version VDR 1.2 device will be compatible with vCenter 5.1.

  You can not.

  Workaround would be to copy the handle of the cursor ref to a handle to the cursor DBMS_SQL and then use cursor DBMS_SQL to treat the projection of SQL. But it would be an ugly hack.

  The right approach would be to correctly use the SQL cursors in PL/SQL. And no, ref Cursor in PL/SQL (created by code PL/SQL to PL/SQL code) is almost always the WRONG choice.

  There are better native cursor data types in PL/SQL in particular supported cursors created by PL/SQL and PL/SQL.

  REF CURSOR is provided mainly as the cursors created by PL/SQL for an external client. There are very few reasons to create Ref cursors to use PL/SQL code.
