Data source configuration error

Hello

I couldn't configure the planning data source. Let me explain the whole scenario.

Already, I've created a data source (SID: TEST, Port: 1571) and created an application and all works well. Now client changed the SID (Test1) and Port No. (1551) for the schema. I exported the schema and imported again SID. When I am editing the connection for the existing data source by editing again SID and the port number, it gives an error "Data Source configuration failed." Here's the configtool the journal entries.

(November 26, 2009, 11:42:05), com.hyperion.planning.HspDBConfigurator, DEBUG, registration failed: null. Save failed: null.
(November 26, 2009, 11:42:05), com.hyperion.cis.config.wizard.RunAllTasksWizardAction, ERROR, error:
com.hyperion.cis.config.ProcessingException
at com.hyperion.planning.HspDBConfigurator.configure(HspDBConfigurator.java:222)
at com.hyperion.cis.config.wizard.RunAllTasksWizardAction.executeDBConfigTask(RunAllTasksWizardAction.java:282)
at com.hyperion.cis.config.wizard.RunAllTasksWizardAction.execute(RunAllTasksWizardAction.java:151)
at com.installshield.wizard.RunnableWizardBeanContext.run (unknown Source).

I get the same error for other products that also is EAS, planning and reporting. But the SSP configured successfully and works well.

Help, please...

Thank you

When configuring, I chose the option "Reuse existing database" instead of "Drop and create new database ' because I already imported the tables to the new schema.

If everything is pointing to the correct location, then you don't need to configure them, have tried to layout planning service and ensure that it connects to the correct repository.

In the Configuration utility for 9.3.1 What are the differences between "Database Config" and "data source Configuration.

After running 'Config database' itl has created about 10 HSPsys_ * tables in the database of PLANSYS. It seems to me that this is where the planning and data source information instance are stored

"Data source configuration. created about 30 HSP_ * tables in PLAN2.
It seems that is where the application tables are stored, am I right?
When you run "Configure data source", I shouldn't use PLANSYS database to store my tables for the application I'm good? Otherwise I would have problems with future migration, am I right?

    Hello

Database config set up tables for the planning system to use this database schema / should be separated from the application planning.
"Data source configuration" - configure just details about your connection to the planning application details, e.g. connections details to the repository and essbase. It stores this information in your planning system database.

Once you create a planning application he uses the information from the data source to create the planning and application of all the tables in the database

This is the message I get when I try to add a mysql database using the coldfusion administration page. Never, I get this error when I add an access database.

    Where could I go wrong?

Could someone help or suggest something?

    > when it says to enter the jdbc url, I entered in the following:

    Leave out the brackets.

    NO.

    > do we extract the main zip to a folder of the same name and
    > Copy and paste the jar file in the destination folder

Yes. But, before that, stop Coldfusion and remove all type JAR files mysql-connector - java-* currently in the directory cf_root/WEB-INF/lib directory. Otherwise you are going to install two drivers.

    > for driver class: com.mysql.jdbc.5.0.4
No. I think that should be: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver. Here are more tips on how to configure MySQL5.x. The same themes were held in this recent on CFMX and MySQL5 thread.

  • Microsoft SQL data source connection error

I try to connect to a MS SQL database and continue to receive a connection refused error. the error is:

I'm new to MS SQL and do not know if I put it in place correctly. My settings for the DS are as follows:

Server: localhost port 1433 (if I change (local) takes the time out)

I have the DS, Database, login, password everywhere. The password and the name is for cold fusion to be able to execute queries and correct stuff? It is not a defined password to access the database? The database has been imported from a system to the top and is located at ServerName\Databases\DB_Name. I need to plug the DB to MS SQL Server somehow? I can
display database tables, columns, but not connect. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 180 assessment, Windows XP SP2, ColdFusion MX 7.1 Developers Edition.

    Thank you

Solved the problem, my username for any reason any was not the owner of the db, he switched to the top and it works fine... Thanks for the help guys.

Check if your configurations AddressRepository and ClubRepository (properties files) have idGenerator pointing to the default IdGenerator or your IdGenerator custom as:
    idGenerator = / atg/dynamo/service/IdGenerator GOLD idGenerator = / path/to/your/IdGenerator

  • Change the physical data Source in DAC

I need to extract data from instance DEV2 of Siebel instead of DEV1.
So I change the name of the database, the username and the password under the Data Sources tab physical under the SEBL_VERT_80 data source Configuration.
I've generated parameters and rebuilt the execution plan. However when I run the execution plan certain tasks fail and I noticed in the log of session that the ETL jobs always seek to extract data from the DEV1 instead of DEV2.

Can you get it someone please let me know what I might be missing? How can I make CCIP run ETLs on the DEV2 database?

    Thank you

Let me know if that solves the problem or if the problem persists.

  • Read configuration data source AM from Java Bean code

    Hi experts,

I use Jdev 12.1.3 and I need to read the name of AM Datasource from Java Code, to get a text like "jdbc/nomsourcededonnees.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you very much
    Jose.

This object has methods getURL(), getUser() and others.

But there is no method as getDataSourceName()

(AFAIK, jdbc connection "knows" nothing about the Data Source)

You can try something like this inside your AppModuleImpl class:

    this.getSession () .getEnvironment () .get (Configuration.JDBC_DS_NAME)

    Hello

    Follow these steps:

1 stop of applications using stopweblogic.sh

    2. closing of the database

    3 judgment of the listener.

    Now,.

    1. start the listener

    2. start the database

    3. start weblogic.

    It will work I guess

    Kind regards

  • With JNDI error when you create a new data source

    Hello:

This weekend, when adding new applications in the production environment, we had a problem where the new managed servers JNDI tree was inaccessible.

We have seen the error message was:

We traced the issue to a new data source that has been added were we found that along with the entry of jndi name expected in the jdbc xml file, there were two empty entries:

    < jndi name - > weblogic.jdbc.DataSource.EOI < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >
    < jndi name - > < / jndi-name >

The data source has been removed, consoles restarted, the re-created data source and the problem happened again. To get through the issue, had to manually remove empty tags in the xml file.

We have created 2 new sources of data, and it happened only on the spot. The same data source each time. In addition, this question moved not when these changes have been made in our regions of bass (development, qa).

The version is the same in all three regions.

    WebLogic Version:
WebLogic Server temporary fix for 9324911 Wed Feb 03 22:38:01 PST 2010
    WebLogic Server 10.3 Fri Jul 25 16:30:05 EDT 2008 1137967

Is this a known issue? And if so, is there a way to avoid it, other than to start checking the newly created XML files permanently?

    Thank you

    Ted

Yes, it's a common problem documented in the Oracle documentation:
WebLogic Server: Get ' weblogic.common.ResourceException: is already bound ' exception with name JDBC JNDI (Doc ID 1154250.1)

The only solution is to remove the empty value entries.

    Bravo!
