  Dear friends,
  
  my database is running in mode newspaper archive and I dropped a table say table1.i ran the RMAN command below
  
  RMAN > run
  2 > {}
  3 > restore database;
  4 > restore database;
  {5 >}
  
  in the above command we restore from backup and applying all archivelogs, m I right?.
  After the restoration and recovery of the database by using the RMAN command above, when I checked the deleted table table1, I m getting error - table1 does not already exist in the database.
  can you please tell me why, after restoring and applying all archivelog why I have not dropped the table?

  Mihael I m still confused because why the fall did not return after executing a full recovery of the database using the RMAN commands shown below

  complete recovery means apply all changes to the database, including the fall of the table

  For anyone else trying to do, I logged a call, it is not possible in the 11.  the dbms_fda_import is available but unsupported because of bugs so that I can use if I absolutely had to, but reliability is not guaranteed, I'm not that.

  Probably easier create a fixed table off the data in the existing table hist, then take table 1 of the FDA database and move FDA 2 by ensuring that anyone who wants access to all data before this date, must focus on the hist table fixed.

  ODI does not automatically remove the tables that have been deleted from the source when you do a reverse. You must remove them manually

  I would like to pass on my table to a different tablespace by using the statement:
  ALTER TABLE table_name move tablespace new_tablespace;
  
  I am interested in what happens if someone wants to select or modify some data during the process of alteration (on the table table_name). I tested on the database of test (without a users) and everything was OK, but I wonder what happens if someone edit or select data. Could you recommend me how to protect this table? Change in playback mode or change the database in the mode of restriction? Thanks for the tips.

  The table is locked automatically during the MOVE ALTER TABLE. If other sessions can still perform selects, but no changes can be made during the DDL.
  Don't forget to re-create the indexes on the table later.

• Why can I not move this table?

  CS4 on Mac. ID won't allow me to move this table immediately left - it give me the error message saying dashes cannot extend outside the text frame. But I should have 0,1875 "of space to work with.

  

  Your paragraph has an intention of hanging. Amendment of paragraph in a different style (hopefully, you work with styles), where the table is in it and it must be a style with no intention.

  I can resize and move my table in all directions except to the right.  It seems stuck on the left side of the text block.  Could not find the options that allow me to control how far from the gutter it will reside.

  Maybe connected to jumps of table on two pages, a right hand, then a left hand?  There is plenty of room on the right - almost an inch.

  Tables all live in frames of related texts and so are stuck at the edge of the textframe by default (if you have not changed its position in the table preferences) which is usually the left side. Try to make a separate textframe for the table and move.

  But you say that you like the table of cross spread to the next release (looks like what you say, it goes from right to left) with half of it on a spread and the other half on the other spread?

  Ah, I see now. You are actually working with Hebrew documents that go from right to left, right? You have the ME version? It should then be glued to the right of the textframe condition it is set to write in Hebrew.

• Oracle database, move varies between databases

  We have application where all logic is implemented in the oracle database using pl/sql.

  We have different oracle for the development and production databases.

  When the developer changes in the development database after the test, we move compare changes of development database to the production database using Toad tool schema. Problem here is that the developer must have password for database production. We want only admin know this password.

  Can someone advice me best way to changes moving between databases without the need to have password database of production, which is advisable for this?

  There may be automated methods to generate these scripts, but I would say, "generate the hand."

  Someone needs to create the tables in the first place and edit them - who did it with SQL. Put it in a script instead of "do it all", or using a pointy-clicky of GUI tool.

  It is the same for things such as tables in the list of values or configuration data. Put it in scripts.

  Hello. I was installing HCM and Campus Solution 9.0 with PeopleTools8.53. Server machine is Oracle Linux 5.10 and Windows XP-based client computer.  The architecture of my internet is WebLogic11g/Tuxedo11g/OracleDatabase 11 GR 1 material. PeopleTools 8,53 works correctly in the browser.

  
  In the database server Oracle Linux 5.10 machine, I run scripts 'createdb10.sql, utlspace.sql, hrcddl.sql, dbowner.sql, psroles.sql, psadmin.sql and connect.sql' one by one. Can I use Data Mover to load Windows XP data into the Oracle Linux 5.10 DB HRCS90 instance. The Data Mover script hrcs90ora.dms is done correctly in Windows XP. Configuration Manager is configured correctly.  But when I login in the application designer, I can't connect and get the message as below:

I did in chapters 4 and 5. But the connection to the application designer and start the Tuxedo application server can always put the same error message: "the database is release 8.52. The PeopleTools performed require a database at 8.53 release. »

  
  I ran 4-3-2 of the task script ptddlupg.sql and PSIMAGE2 tablespace is created successfully.

  When I run rel853n.sql script Task 4-3-5, I see the first line table PSSTATUS does not exist.

  The big problem is that there are no PSSTATUS table in my database HRCS90. I activated Windows XP Data Mover C:\PT8.53\log\hcengs.log as below:

  Import PSSTATUS

  As we see above, the hrcs90ora.dms script load PSSTATUS table in the instance database HRCS90. But the PSSTATUS table is not in HRCS90.

  
  
  My questions are:

  First of all, why is there no PSSTATUS table in my HRCS90 database? What stage is the problem?  How to fix?

  Second, does run the hrcs90ora.dms script in Windows XP Data Mover to load data in HRCS90 under Linux, yet due to no PSSTATUS table?

  PSSTATUS is the property of the accessid, means that the user Oracle appearing in PSDBOWNER.

  You are not connected with this user but you can ask PSDBOWNER because there's a public synonym, which is not the case for PSSTATUS.

  But I think you missed the point that upgrade scripts must be run with this accessid (again, it is the owner of the Peoplesoft tables).

  In front of your whole posts on this same forum, I am always surprised you make this mistake, if I remember correctly, this point has been said several times for you.
