I get the above error while taking backup RMAN Level0. I am able to connect to the database of the catalogue without any problem.

I already have this registry database command in RMAN prompt. Now I am able to see backup list but I don't know how that DB asking to sign up for today. Until yesterday, the backups were running fine btu today his application to enter the catalog DB.

Here we manually to connect the catalogue in this way
rman target $ /.
RMAN > catalog connection rmanuser/password @ < globalcatalogDB >
connected.

After that if I give this command means...

RMAN > backup from the list of database;
I get the error I pasted at the earliest.

If you do not have a catalog, you need not to save the database. Rely you only on the target database controlfile. If you use a catalog, you must save the target database, but only once. If you sometimes use a catalog - and sometimes not--the appropriate command is RESYNC (although in many cases RMAN automatically done).

1. Difference between using RMAN and SQL command on database flashback?

2. When to use RMAN or SQL on the  database flashback?

3. Which is the Oracle recommended or best way ?

So when you run your SQLPlus flashback, you get the following error:

ORA-38761: redo log sequence 1 in thread 1, incarnation 3 could not be found

This means so that the sequence 1 has probably been removed from the disk and is necessary.

When you run the RMAN command look at the log what RMAN:

* journal archived for thread 1 sequence 2 is already on the disc in the file +DG_PERF_FLASH_02/TestDB/archivelog/2013_03_14/thread_1_seq_2.3612.810054205*
* journal archived for thread 1 with sequence 3 is already on the disc in the file +DG_PERF_FLASH_02/TestDB/archivelog/2013_03_14/thread_1_seq_3.1588.810054205*

So sequence 2 and 3 are already on record according to the above message.

Then you get this message:

channel dev_2: restoration of archives Journal
Archives journal thread = 1 sequence = 1

So RMAN knows he needs 1 thus sequence and restores this newspaper archive she needs for recovery.

In a Word while running SQLPlus she communicate with RMAN and restore the log file for you, however with RMAN, it won't.

You can restore the newspaper archive manually, and then run in SQLPlus that will then work.

How to remove a deleted database RMAN backups?
Hi people,

1, created a 10g database
2, rman (with recovery catalog) to create and manage backups
3, dropped to the database (I forgot to use the drop backup option)

Is it possible to purge with rman backups now? Or will I have to manually delete all the files?

You can cancel the registration of catalogue database, but you must delete the backups manually. To uregister execute under connection as the owner of the catalog. First get DBID form rc_database view and anticipate that, as an argument to the procedure below:

I'm practicing Rman, so I request that the way to restore the rman backup in a different database.

For example:

1. I have backup Rman of DB1 to level 0 and level 1 cumulative data base more archievelog

2. I need to import or restore the backup Rman of DB1 to a different database DB2.

What is the procedure to make the queries above. Please anyone one help out me.

I use oracle 10g r2 running in windows server 2003.

The ORA-17627: ORA-01017 has been corrected using the connection string to connect to the target database, instead of target rman / in the command prompt

That set the script to use OIC to connect in both instances like this:

I have some difficulties trying to reproduce DB via RMAN duplicate from active database.

The script is simple:

How to make a backup of the database with RMAN Oracle Single Instance

Hello. I use the server of Oracle 11 GR 1 material with operating system Oracle Linux 5.10 database.
I understand how to back up the database instance in SQL Server with Windows. But do not really understand how to back up the database instance in Oracle on Linux.
I did it cold and hot backup for the database HRCS90 instance, but both receive the same error message.

Cold backup is below:

Yes, you can restore and recover the backup, but not at the moment. You will only be able to restore and recover at the time of your backup.

For example.

If you take backup (mount point with no mode of journal archive) at 06:00 and your grave database crashes at 21:00, you will be able to restore and recover until 06:00. You will find all the changes made to the database between 06:00 and 21:00.

If you want your database to recover until 9 PM or until a point in time, then you must put your database in log mode archive, and then save the archives.

I followed all the steps to create the instance of relief, as I said, I've created a first time

What has changed the second time is that I have insert the following parameters in my init.ora

I try to reproduce as follows:

Everything worked out to restore all the, and then he proceeded to recover with following error message:

Then he kept to the end with the following errors;

The strings that you entered in your file name conversion settings does not match where actually your data files. If the string does not match the names of files, there is no names of files to convert. Because you're on windows, how about something like this?

Error during the registration of RMAN from the primary to the catalog database
Hi all

Here we have an environment with db1 (db_unique_name) 10g dataguard as primary and db2 (db_unique_name) Physics of the standby database. Also, we have configured a schema on a third computer as a database of catalog using following steps.

The measures taken in the catalog database (appsdb):

SQL > create tablespace rmancatlog_tbs datafile ' / u01/app/oracle/oradata/NEW/rman_catalog.dbf' size 500M autoextend extent management local segment space management auto;

SQL > create user rman identified by oracle
2 default tablespace rmancatlog_tbs
3 unlimited quota on rmancatlog_tbs
4;

SQL > GRANT connect, resource, recovery_catalog_owner to rman;

RMAN > create catalog.
Recovery catalog created

AMT added entries of catalog in primary and standby database. Then the primary database, we have tried to register for the catalog database. It shows that it registers. But all queries later rman throws the error. Here are the steps and the error:

I have try several times and for one reason, the auxialiary database finished just as it goes up the auxiliary instance.
Target database in double check to stanby with the following error. Primary and auxiliary bodies

You have error ORA-7445. I would ask allows you to check the MOS document that said Mseberg.

Also, do not have the DATA01 on the standby database if your wait is a database not ASM. But you must give the path in the db_file_name_convert and log_file_name_convert on the eve pfile/spfile database

1 question: is your watch set up database to be on ASM or not?

connect to retrieve catalog owner user (RMAN) using SQLPLUS on the catalog database and run the following query.

SQL> select * from rc_database;

Another thing is, check, if your catalog is accidentally created in the target database or you sure sound in a separate database (possibly on a separate server).

RMAN-04006: auxiliary database error.
Hi all

Get this error when you try to do an RMAN Duplicate command.
Well, first of all, just try to connect to THE DB fails with this error:

ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections

(1) target to the db is in State of EDITING.
(2) the DB versions are 11.2.0.2
(3) file listener is supported by the GRID.

I looked at a few notes of ML, specially
Connection to the use of the auxiliary string failed with ORA-12528 [419440.1 ID]
also this:

ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections [301099.1 ID]

doesn't help at all...

any ideas?

Well... DATABASE TARGET (script running);

I always offer to run DUPLICATE ONLY auxiliary instance. No source/target server.

Instance Oracle to close
output channel: prmy1

Because if you connect an auxiliary instance of another remotly server, for the most part, it fails each time as oracle bounces to THE databases (because of internal scripts).
So I highly recommend to run the script from the auxiliary server no target.

as

$ rman target sys/***@prod auxiliary.
