  We are migrating from Solaris to Linux environment.
  2 node rac (primary) with node 2 rac (standby) - > 2 node rac (primary) with node 2 rac (standby) in the target.
  Oracle Version is 10.2.0.4.0.
  
  High level for our migration plan is to build the target environment primary and standby. Take the datapump source export and import into the target.
  The database size is 250 GB.
  
  It is the first time that I do for CARS migration with dataguard.
  I want to know the steps when importing the discharge of datapump to primary targets and target in standby mode.
  (1) I think firstly import primary and then import into sleep mode. Is this the right method?
  (2) any other best practices?
  (3) for export and import to the new size of 250 GB database environment, about how long is the necessary downtime?

  Yes, it again will transfer to standby mode.

  Please note that the importation of datapump will generate redo, but if you do Data Pump import TRANSPORTABLE TABLESPACE mode then it will not generate any recovery for imported data information.

Now, we must go CARS (2 node) and DataGuard (node 2) to a different location on the same type of architecture on different servers.
