Date format setting

Hi all

I am trying to format the setting date a report in my RTF and I failed with each attempt. I hope someone has a solution that is easily available.

The name of the parameter is param_start_date. I tried them all as the value of the output parameter: 2011-01-18 00:00:00.0 I need the date to display as MON-DD-YYYY (April 18, 2011 or April 18, 2011).

Here is what I tried:
& lt;? param_start_date? & gt;
& lt;? xdofx:TO_DATE(param_start_date,_'YYYY/mm/dd_HH24:MI:SS.) FF1')? & gt;
& lt;? xdofx:TO_DATE(param_start_date,_'DD-Mon-YYYY')? & gt;
& lt;? xdofx:TO_CHAR(param_start_date,_'DD-Mon-YYYY')? & gt;
& lt;? xdofx:TO_CHAR (xdofx:to_date(param_start_date,_'YYYY/MM/DD_HH24:MI:SS.) FF1'), 'MON-DD-YYYY')? & gt;
& lt;? xdoxslt:ora_format_date(param_start_date,'DD-Mon-YYYY')? & gt;

I can't change the source query, so it must be done in the RTF model.

Any suggestions are welcome.

  • Set the default Date Format in 4.2 jQuery Mobile Smartphone

    Hi guys,.

    on 'normal' office interfaces, you can set a default date format in the globalization settings. Currently I am working on an application JQM and I noticed that the same settings I have to format date in other applications, take effect.

    I read today in the 4.2 notes version, that somehow this question was a bit buggy. If this problem is corrected? I would firstly like JJ German date format. "" MR. YYYY "; (such that it works in office applications). How can I do? This entry is saved in the global settings.

    But whenever I want to put a date-picker-merchandise in this format, it changes again in 'YYYY-MM-DD' after registration. And I don't really want to enter a dml processing conversion function writing now.

    Thanks for all tips, best looks,.
    Tobi

    Hey Tobi,

    the item type of ' date picker (HTML5) "corresponds to the type of input HTML5 = 'date', which requires that the internal format of the value date must always be YYYY-MM-DD, but he returned to the browser to display the date in the format of the local operating system parameter. The browser of the iOS for example displays the date in the format of my setting local language/country.
    See also http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7372038/is-there-any-way-to-change-input-type-date-format

    To make a long story short, it is not possible to specify the display format for dates selectors, because this is not supported by the HTML5 specification.

    ICX_DATE_FORMAT_MASK - is the value of profile that contains the value that is selected in the preferences page.
    You can try pageContext.getProfile ("ICX_DATE_FORMAT_MASK");
    in your code.

  • DATE format - when you set the column in the table

    Hi friends,

    I came across a piece of code that applied a TO_DATE() function on a column of type date.

    I have two tables t1 and t2 and they have columns col1 and col2 respectively of type DATE
    t1
    col1 DATE

    t2
    col2 DATE
    There is also a variable var1 and is defined as follows:
    var1 DATE;
    now, I like conditions below in the code:
    AND to_date(t1.col1,'dd/mm/yyyy') = to_date(t2.col2,'dd/mm/yyyy')
    AND to_date(t1.col1,'dd/mm/yyyy') = to_date(var1,'dd/mm/yyyy')
    This code has failed on the Production with an error: ORA-01861 literal does not match the format string

    I changed the code to remove TO_DATE() and it worked fine. Dev said that they used this function for that if the two columns or variable is in the date format of diff.,... they can be brought into harmony.
    for example if col1 is dd/mm/yyyy and col2 is dd/mm/yyyy, then there will be a problem.

    My doubt is... in a given environment if we create a table and define a DATE type column, or define a variable of type DATE, their format may be different at any time? I think that no.?

    In this scenario, the date format can be different?

    Thank you

    your thoughts are correct. A date is a date, the question of how it is shown on the interface is a different matter.

  • How canI change the date format of dd/mm/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy in filed?

    I just got and try things my new Alcatel fire E with FirefoxOS (just updated) 2.0.0.0.

    It is usual in most operating systems to be able to customize the date and time (among others). After a few hours of unsuccessful fiddling with the phone and checking the various forums, I came to the conclusion that it is currently not possible on my phone with this version of FirefoxOS. Or did I just miss something?

    Achim

    Hi achim_59,

    I understand that you want to set the date format to display the jj/mm/aaaa on your Firefox OS device.

    This feature has been implemented in Firefox OS v2.1. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in v2.0:

    For other questions about the updates and implementation of your specific device features, please contact your device manufacturer, Alcatel.

  • Can I change the date format day/United States (month day year) in the United Kingdom (date month year)?

    When I consult databases via Firefox, the format of date/day is set at: day, month, year (AMERICAN style), while I need, day, month, year, I work in the United Kingdom and the 'bad' format is VERY confusing and could lead to errors and mistakes. IE has that format, but I don't want to return to using that.

    You use the English (United States) version of Firefox ESR 24.3.0. You can download the English version of (British) below:

    1. under Options - content - language, make sure that English/United Kingdom [en-us] is located at the top of the list.

    2. in the Windows Control Panel category, region and language, make sure that the short Date is set at your convenience.

    You can check the date and time at the library of Firefox, bookmarks category format. Press Ctrl + Shift + B to open it, and then note the dates in the added to the right column.

  • Can not put date format as "yyyy-MM-dd" for Chinses (PRC) and English (United States) at the same time. Win 7 PRO

    Step 1. I choose Chinese (PRC) in the list format (region and language) and set the format of 'YYYY-MM-dd' date, apply. It is ok.

    Step 2. I choose English (United States) in the list format (region and language) and set the format of 'YYYY-MM-dd' date, apply. It is ok.

    Step 3. I chose the back to Chinese (PRC) in the format list (region and language), format date is reset to "YYYY/M/d", it is not ok for me.

    How can I set the format of a two language. ?

    Because I use the siemens industry software, when to change language it will read the date format different from the language that is displayed. My client want to see the same format.

    I tested under Win XP, it may set the format even in different languages

    Hi Jerry,

    Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums.

    It is normal that you can not set the same date format for both languages at the same time. You will need to use the drop-down list to choose a date format customized if necessary.

    Hope this information helps.

  • convert Date format MMM DD YYYY to DD/MMMM yyyy

    Hello

    I'm in the studio EN 11.1.2.1... We have an obligation to display the date in the format yyyy MMMM dd is lets say 10 January 2015 should display as 10 January 2015

    Members exist in Essbase outline: creation Date

    The Member is used in the grid and the value of the cell is displayed in a block of text as < < GetCell("Grid1",1,A,1) > >

    I don't see the preference option to set as DD/MMMM YYYY format that is available for System Date function < < Date (jj/aaaa "MMMM") > >

    I also tried with true measures typed and activate the date format, but it does not work in EN report and it seems that the preferred default setting takes precedence.

  • Date Format problem

    Hi all

    We spend date format '2015-05-26' of soapui for check-in, so it's inclusion in the database successfully.

    "But for the check-in validation Post filter service we copy the same date format from custom metadata to each other using Update Sql. we receive below IE error ' [' ORA-01843: not one month valid '.]

    Under sql queries work well for me. I've updated one of the rows in the table to approve revisions using sql developer, and it worked fine.

    UPDATE SET dcreatedate = TO_TIMESTAMP('15-MAY-2013 11:00:00:00','DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS:FF') WHERE did = 89 revisions;

    OR

    Setting a DAY of revision SET dcreatedate = systimestamp WHERE did = 89;

    You use java filter to update the query? Resource query you use?

  • Date format in the supporting - attachment Documents

    Hello

    Page of support documents - in 6.0 date format for entry into force and date unavailability has a descriptive format (Monday, February 17, 2014), but in the point 6.1 resembles the date format of the field has been in number as format (17/02/2014).

    Is there a way we can customize / format description to a numeric date format.

    Kind regards

    Kumar

    6.1 has brought a new editing tool and improved for the dates so that you can type the dates directly in the field or use the calendar control.  With this control, we are unable to show the descriptive long format in edit mode.  In playback mode the descriptive date must always shown as "Monday, February 17, 2014" Unfortunately it seems that the behavior of the old system that you cannot open the popup details of attachment in read mode so that you will never see these inactive/effective dates in a full descriptive format.

    Good news if

    1. we now offer a review of supporting documents report.   This report will let you see all the supporting documents on a single specification or through a hierarchy of specification.   You should be able to set the date format to display in the long descriptive view.  In the BI publisher layout tool, click the column and change the formatting in the form under "Formatting data" in the toolbar.   Discover our pack of extensibility for more information on this report and others.

    2. We hope to offer in our next major release of universal date as February 14, 2014 formats and you will be able to see the document in support and the details of the attachment in read mode.
