DBActivateMap guetting over slower

Hello

I use (this means that I am not the developer of this script) a scritp 8.0 Labwindows/CVI to characterize devices electrically and store the data of each acquisition in a MySQL database.
There are 20 characterized devices sequentially and ideally, it takes 2 seconds to measure and store data.
But when the table becomes larger, the time between 2 acquisitions lengthens. For now, the cycle lasts 8 seconds (instead of 2 seconds when the table is empty).

I tried to see the script and it seems that the problem comes from the command DBActivateMap which is executed before each acquisition.
I don't know exactly the role of this command and I don't know if it's necessary to start with each cycle.
I imagine that if the developer put in in the script, it is necessary.
But is there a way to improve the speed of this command?

Thank you in advance for your help,
Have a nice week,
Lil blue.

  • How to: Crush 3/iMac 5 k (compatibility mode)

    Hello friends,

I see quite a few new features on the market with Thunderbolt 3. According to the FAQ of TB3 Intel, TB1 and TB2 was designed with future upgrades in mind. This means that you can connect, once a solution is available, on a host of TB2 TB3 system using compatibility mode. It will only work to 20Gbps TB2, but work remains. The same is true of peripheral TB2 TB3 host computer (will work but at slower speed)

This would be similar to the connection of a USB 3 device on a USB 2 or 1 USB host but only get speeds over slow or vice versa.

The question I have is that if someone came out with these fittings/adapters? What I've seen online seems to go using a device of TB2 and TB3 host and each of these adapters is Windows only. I have spent too many hours searching so I'm curious to know if someone has yet to fall on an adapter or converter that connect DisplayPort TB2 host and have the device USB-C/TB3 (USB - C not only) in compatibility mode.

The reason? Peripheral TB3 are already less expensive than TB2 devices. I don't know who will get the most expensive. I don't care 40Gbps if he gives me a simple way to add multiple devices USB 3.0, exhibitions and maybe the eSata device. I know there are hubs, but I would prefer something that is the test of the future TB3 would be cheaper and future proof for NeXTGen computers.

(Sorry for the TL; DR but it is always a person who does not read or "assume" it is a noob question and gives an answer "Captain Obvious". Don't BE this guy here...)

  • HP s 4330: cannot install Windows, freezes before restarting. [solved: chipset defective stepping]

    Hello!

I am banging my head on the wall with this case, can not understand, how to proceed.

My experience: I worked a few years as a computer store technician, especially on desktop computers, so at least vaguely, I know what I'm doing, and I'm very careful when handling material.

Background of the computer: I got a used HP 4330 s after the deceased family member. No fringe, pretty clean, no damage or traces of fall release. He had dead hard disk (click), broken DVD (engine brackets bent, I am told it is a child work) and was very dusty (blocked fan). I removed the optical drive, carefully removed all the dust, replaced heat is dedicated to the Sub CPU and put inside SSD, I took my other machine (erased). In the BIOS, I went from starting EFI.

I jumped into the USB with Windows 8.1 fresh install, which ran well, until he wanted to restart. Screen went blue/violet (same color as the background of the normal installation), and it stopped, no disk activity, nothing. I turned to bike it, Windows installation proceeds, but failed. This is repeated several times.

Steps I took to solve the problem:

-Legacy mode and I tried to install again, same result.

-Memtest Ran, past, memory switched to a few specimens (DDR3 and DDR3L), tried both slots, pass all, Windows will not complete the installation.

-Traded stock to i5 - 2520M i3 CPU I had to hang out, which has been removed from the machine work (during upgrade), same result.

-Done everything once again, this time without the battery and using big HP 120W 85x0w charger, same result

-Exchanged on a different disk, same result.

-Try exchanging AC7260 network card, only to discover he is blacklisted (* beep *?), removed wifi do map altogether, no change

-Traded thumbdrive to another, and I tried two different Windows 8.1 relies

-Turn off all devices in the BIOS, except USB.

-Tried to install Ubuntu, only to find out that it works perfectly, but it will not boot from EFI, had efibootmgr shows the correct entries, laptop says that it cannot find the operating system.

-Hiren Boot CD with BartPE is Windows XP starts and works very well.

-Check time CPU, at a time using reporting and pirometer software, it does not exceed 65 degrees Celscius in any moment, which is well below the critical temperature on both processors.

BIOS is F47. To my surprise, it is newer than what I can find in the download page (F07?).

Can what steps I take to close on the issue? I would leave it under Ubuntu, but I need Windows on this computer, and I'm afraid he's going to go belly up.

    Last updated.

First of all, doughjohn - problem is not in the initiation of the stop, but it will not accomplish the closure. There is almost everything disabled except BNT kernel and the video driver.

The problem has been very difficult to diagnose, until I found a friend who also had the same machine.

    And here's the final solution:

Like unbelieveble as it is, all three motherboards have manufacturing defects.

Problem is the chipset: all of them, as, as I suspected, have Cougar Point B2 chipset with SATA bug. This degrades the connection of the HARD disk. There were two clues: USB3.0 adapter SATA with Windows 8.1/10 work and fine closures. Same disk moved in the hard drive bay or optical Bay can not close correctly and works over slow (!). Second, was my friend who had same 4330 s specifications, but without problems. I disassembled the machine and to my surprise he chipset B3, with visible signs of flow around it, and fix the markings certified HP. This laptop was RMA would once. I moved my installation to his mother, and he also starts very well on SATA ports.

This is the first (and only) for laptop with Sandy Bridge-era components that suffer from a degradation of link chipset primary HARD disk SATA lines I've seen so far.

To sum up: HP, your fault this time.

I sold the laptop and I'm looking for a new machine, it will probably take HP 6470 B, if I can find all the components.

Thank you for all those that the air here and offered advice and guidance. I really appreciate your help!

  • A multitude of what seems unnessesary files in "search results."

Check to see why my laptop becomes so sensitive over slow although I have 4 GB of RAM, I kept looking everywere and when I clicked then open and RECENT LOCATIONS 'SEARCH RESULTS', I found 3677 elements here, but when I tried to remove them. I stopped when deleted files reached 20700 and 2000 files. Does anyone know how this rubbish gets there in the first place and it is safe to remove it completely. Any help is very appreciated.     John

    Hello

I suggest you to check once more and confirm if there was an increase in consumption of space of hard drive because of these duplicate files.

If there is an increase in consumption of hard because of these duplicate files disk space, then the computer may have a virus infection. You can run a scan of MSS in safe mode with network.

Advanced startup options (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

In addition, if there is no infection of viruses on the computer so as mentioned previously, you could probably be referring to the recent lists is just shortcuts that will not cause a slowdown. If you open one of these saved searches, and delete the results, then you are probably trying to remove real files, no shortcuts.

You can provide a screenshot so that we can better guide you.

Please post the screenshot of the issue you're talking about. Follow the steps in this link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/how-do-i-post-a-screen-shot-on-this-forum/c86de820-c620-401c-a804-9f6337cd3053

  • I2C communication slows down over time using USB-8451

    Hi all!

I try to communicate via a device slave using a USB-8451 I2C and I noticed that after a while the communication speed slows way.

I can send and receive data very well and apparently my system seems to work. But the problem is that over time the speed of data transfer slows down so much so that if I let it run all night it has slowed to a crawl in the morning. My ultimate goal is to gather data, draw and save every second and at the beginning it is easily achievable, but after 10-15 hours I can no longer collect data as fast I need. I'm not quite sure if this is a problem with my code LabVIEW, the NI USB-8451 box or the slave device. But if I stop running the LabVIEW program and start it again, everything returns to normal.

The slave device is a personalized card with a microchip PIC which acts as a slave I2C and returns the data at the request of the master. I can't imagine anyone will be able to determine if this is a problem directly, but if we can rule out the other two (code LabVIEW or the NOR-8451) as the source of the problem so I know it's my slave device.

I've greatly simplified the LabVIEW code that I used to collect data on I2C and I see even this gradual slowing down over time. Attached, it's that the very simplified VI and the data file, it produced. I only ran it for about 45 minutes, but from the beginning to the end we see again that the enforcement timeframe is rising.

I hope I'm just doing something stupid, thanks in advance!

    -Aaron

    Aaron,

Do not have the additional module responsible for these functions, but I'm sure I know whats going on.  It seems that each time through the loop 'OR-845 x I2C Create Configuration Reference.vi' creates a new reference.  After a while it will start to slow things down.  Better to open the reference before the while loop starts and spend just the reference in the loop.  Don't forget to close the reference after the loop stops.

  • My WRT110 slows down gradually over time. Why?

I noticed that my internet download speed became slow.  I tried using SpeakEasy and the speed of Comcast tested and found my upload and download speeds to be both less than 2 MB.  In the tests, I disconnected my WRT110 RangePlus Wireless Router and connected directly to the Comcast RCA modem.  I raised the speed races and got 21MB down and 4.4 upwards on two speed test sites.  I then be able to reset the WRT110 then reconnected to it.  So I ran the tests of speed and their return the same 21Mo down and 4.4 upward.  I came home a day later and tested and my download speed is 8 MB.  I came back today and it was 5MB.  I connected directly to the modem Comcast and returned to 22 MB down speed.  I then be able to reset the WRT110 and reconnected it and speeds were down to 22MB.  I have run this test twice over a period of days and got the same defacement of speed over time.  What could cause this?

I think you can try to upgrade/re-flash the firmware on your router.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Download the latest firmware from the site Web of Linksys. Open the router configuration page and update the firmware on your router.

After upgrading the firmware of your router, it is recommended that you must reset the router and reconfigure. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

  • Poor memory - rendered Management slows over time

I noticed a problem with my renders involving sequences. animation and not purely of the layers of things etc, but based on sequences of images as assets. I have a lot of free RAM initially with no other open applications. When I start making my CPU usage is very high and AE takes memory and gives him a number of aeselflink processes. Over time however in my iStatMenus I can see my 'active' RAM drag and my 'inactive' RAM goes upward, while at the same time my CPU usage slowing down my render grinds gradually stopped. It's like once it loads an image of my images in RAM for rendering, that he cannot let go of it completely once it is done so gradually, he eats all my RAM and my rendering slows down. If I stop the rendering and nothing do but running an application to empty all the 'inactive' in 'memory' memory and restart immediately made things are in their fast normal operation. He then proceeds to gradually slow down again. Everyone knows what is happening here? All the images located on the external eSATA drives and are made to external eSATA drives. Here are my specs for reference:

    AE CC 2014 (v 13.0.0.214)

    Mac Pro (early 2008) 3.1 8-core

    18 GB OF RAM

    Memory and multiprocessing:

    18 GB installed RAM

RAM to leave for other applications 5 GB

CPU reserved for other applications 2

Allocation of RAM per CPU / 3GB

Real CPU that will be used 3

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

  • More slow cs5.5 Ae using Quadro K4000 instead of over-pants V3800 3D

    Hello, world of After Effects!

A user reported French ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1338571?tstart=0 ) slower presents in preview and returns when he went to a 3D ATI over-pants V3800 a Quadro K4000 with 331 drivers on the HP Z400 under Cs5.5.

Is this normal? If it must optimize something?

After Effects CS5.5 used the GPU for almost nothing, so there should be no difference in the rendering, either for previews or final returns.

The only exception is if it uses the OpenGL preview rendering engine, which nobody should ever do for everything except the harshest of previews. Don't forget that we have thrown this converter away when we moved to After Effects CS6. Anyone using it in After Effects CS5.5 should be told to stop.

  • LabVIEW running very slow over time

I worked on a project at work for a device measuring the ability to couple with a shock absorber. For this, I have two transducers of torque, a small great. And a linear actuator in order to measure an angle using the cosine law. My problem is in the first 30 seconds, the program short grand after one minute or if it starts to slow down. Since this is a test device security is a top priority and I want to keep the delay to a minimum. The digital output in the while loop creates output that closes the linear actuator if the couple becomes too high. Any ideas would be helpful to speed up.

    Thanks for your time

    Carl

Why you are creating a new task of data acquisition for output within the loop itself at each iteration?  This task of creating before part of the loop.

You have 3 tables that you build permanently in the shift registers.  As they grow, the computer must be always more large chunks of contiguous memory for storing these tables.  I'm surprised that you're having problems after only 30 seconds, but not surprised you are having problems in the end.  I bet the reason why I listed above is the reason why it is happening so fast.

Try to use the producer consumer archtitecture to pass the values to a parallel loop and write the data for the file condinuously it.

I see in your instructions, that you tell somebody to hit the Cancel button to stop the execution of the code.  It's always a bad idea.  You should design your program as a machine of the State where you have different States for the race and setting up different settings.  A user should never hit the Abort button (you will fail to properly clean tasks).  And they should never really need to hit the run button or once the application is compiled into an executable file.

  • CS5, slow to get the "open" and "Save" over the network computer dialog box.

I had this problem, since the suite has been installed, but recently got a lot slower. Whenever I have click on open or save, it takes 8-10 seconds just for the upcoming dialog.  CS1 has quick relief - I know it was hundreds of years ago, but I can't help but compare the two.  I have the same problem with InDesign and Illustrator. The suite is running on a Windows 7 computer with a home network, access files of a machine XP as a Buffalo Linkstation.  Once the dialog box appears, and I double click, the file is pretty quick to appear.  I did research online and I think that the problem was in the network or settings.  The network is fast, Windows Explorer has no delay in opening the search for files or other programs outside of the Creative Suite. I did an experiment to refine the problem - I closed Photoshop, disconnected the network cable and reopened the program.  WONDER - it was so FAST to open the dialog box for opening and saving files!  I closed and then Photoshop again, plugged the cable network Photoshop to and open back.  He was back at the slow opening of the dialog box.  Everything else in the programs works fine - no delay during the execution of the operations in one of the Creative Suite - it has to do with the network and how CS is looking for the files.  Can someone help me, I'm so frustrated - it adds unnecessary time to everything I do and I'm afraid to open and save files!

Have you tried to work with the display of the dialog box at all under Windows 7 under the drop to organize (left side)? Also, is - one of your Favorites in this dialog box are pointing to something that might be offline?

  • Playback is choppy / slow everything accelerating clip anything over 200 percent

Ive from using Final Cut Pro X for awhile, just bought myself a new laptop.

    Basic specifications are:

    Intel i7 2.8 ghz to 3.8 ghz turbo 3840QM

32 GB of Ram 1600 mhz

1 TB SATA 7200 RPM in Raid 0

    GTX680M GeForce 2Go

Long story short, I've been a fan of long date PC all my life even if using mac only for video editing and a macbook pro 13 "basis with final cut pro x seem to surpass my newly acquired PC laptop.

I bought this laptop with the intention to put my video to a State of PC platform and with the new first cs6.

everything is smooth and all that, but the same question that I remembered on the first, back when I wanted to try in time of cs3. for the preview video playback is slow and jerky.

I always have to "rendering" my video just to preview smoothly, which is very time consuming. I always thought that because back in the day my laptop was not as good as my new one now so was the question and moves on my mac which was great for video editing only.

but mac has specifications of base compared to my new laptop and the preview is always impeccable and smooth with LIVE video preview. I mean I can do variations in duration of the slowdown of 10% speed all the way to 1000% of the speed ups and watch my video of this very moment after.

but with first if I do either time frame transmissions more then 200% original accelerates that he plays very well for 2 seconds which accelerates the speed then becomes slow and jerky.

I even changed the resolution of 1/4 of quality reading, and I get the same question.

I wouldn't mind waiting for rendering that I can see that smooth playback and to determine if I like it or not, except when making my clips of my gopro recording at 60 fps 1080, it takes more than 15 minutes.

He always seemed to be a problem with first for me and wonder if there is something I'm missing here...

someone at - it point me the right direction?

im not hating on PC or adobe at all, I like these two platforms in all directions, but when it comes to this edition, all I hear is good things about them, but when I use it for me its very frustrating.

P.S. Yes, I put my GPU to use the GPU accelerated to mercury that makes little difference with fineness of reading.

PR is not optimized for the new stuff from GoPro.  Since FCP transcodes the video on interference, you may need to do the same thing with the Pr for this type of images.  You can use Adobe Media Encoder to transcode your images in batches to intermediate codec.

  • Firefox 8 is slow to display the web page in the application. If I hilite the address in the URL address line it usually downloads the info immediately. I find that it becomes slowers over time.

the browser is started loading the home page to the top. But if I ask to go to a web page, it shows that demand is seeking my request in the new tab, but it's just sitting there. If I go to the HTTP address bar and press ENTER again I usually get the info right away

I loved Firefox, but 8.0 is an abomination when loading. Half the time, a blank screen appears. Pages on amazon and newegg among others to stall out.

No problems with IE8 on the same sites. I've downgraded to FF 7.0.1 and same problem.

I just went back to 3.6.8. Guess what - no problem. Someone has messed with Firefox after 3.6.8. If you can't fix the problems and may have security with 3.6.8 problems so that we may have to go back to IE (shudder). As it is, Firefox 8.0.1 is not feasible and is toast for me until fixed.
