Windows 7 crashes whenever a program is performing an action.

Windows seems to hang (not answer) for 2-4 seconds every time that a program performs an action. Chrome, IE, Windows Explorer, VLC, Media Center, Media Player. If I run a program as an administrator, the computer hangs with a black screen before the greyed appears and a second more later, the authorization dialog box appears.

I've updated my graphic drivers (Intel X 4500 onboard) by using the update of the victory, but that did not help.

My system is:

Gigabyte EG45M-UD2H

Intention E6300

4Gigs Ram

Solidata 64gig ssd

Seagate 1 TB HARD drive

Lite-On iHES106

ASUS Xonar-DS 7.1

Good old game format and reinstall all problems solved.

See you soon.

I can left click on USB in the file Explorer, and held one still able to open or interact with any file in the USB. I can save to the USB port of any other program, and I can usually eject it in the taskbar. The only problem is I can't do a right click on the USB key and select a function without kicks back to the start page and the file Explorer is restarted.

My version of Windows 8 is an upgrade to Windows 7.  I have already tried a restart secure, and even in this State, the accident continues.

I had the same problem with any flash/stick/key USB on my system (64-bit) Windows 8 Pro. I started out of the blue, had not installed a new software or updates. I couid do a right-click on the drive and get the menu, but any action in the menu I chose stop and restart Windows Explorer (without any error message.) The newspaper was in a txt file in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS if the log file was inaccessible. I got a popup access denied .
I rebooted the system and everything was fine and the problem of USB has been fixed.

    Hi aptag,

    Welcome to Microsoft answers forums!

This happens with all applications or just to windows mail?

Scan e-mail, scans one email when opened for display. If there is no problem with the anti-virus software (windows mail) application may stop working.

I suggest you try the following steps

Step 1:  Disable the security software, and then do a test.

Note: Activate security software once the test is completed.

If you have several security software installed on the computer, consider uninstalling one that is rarely used.

Step 2: Put the computer in a clean boot (namely if any third-party software hinders the process)

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135 ---> how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Check with step 1 (run a clean boot):-If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

Note: after find you the problem causing the program, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program and also don't forget to put the computer to a normal startup (step 7 in the link).

  • Windows XP crashes whenever I click on shutdown?

Windows XP stops responding whenever I click on stop, and I do a forced shutdown. If I open the Task Manager and terminate the "explorer.exe" process and run it again windows become sensitive, but when I try to click on stop again, it stops responding and it continues. Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Yes, we can seize ProcMon to stop. And you are right that if we run ProcMon under System account in XP then it will run longer.

    the syntax will be:
    PsExec-s-d the AcceptEula /BackingFile C:\Procmon.pml Path_for_Sysinternal_Suit/Procmon.exe/quiet

And the following command line will stop this trace:

    PsExec s d Procmon.exe /AcceptEula / cancel

    Hello

Use the other methods in the previous troublesshooters I posted as the tcpmon.ini
error is not the cause of the gel.

    ------------------------------------------------------

Departure - in the search box, type-> order

at the top of the list to find COMMAND - CLICK RIGHT to it - RUN AS ADMIN

Type the following commands (or copy and paste one at a time), each followed by pressing on enter.

    ipconfig/flushdns

    nbtstat-r

    nbtstat - RR

    netsh int Reinitialis

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh winsock reset

    RESET

    That resets your TCP/IP stack

    Also update your drivers:

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on

load address of the driver, description, version, product name, who created the company
    the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit system Maker as replacements and manufacturer device which are the
most up-to-date. Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - write it down
and complete the model tab of the driver for your video - double-click - card write
to the bottom of the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is
far behind certification pilot) - then right-click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh
    the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if
3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers you

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and
then device Maker (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) of the site and get the latest news
versions. (Search for updates to the BIOS, Chipset and software on the site of the manufacturer of the system while)
    it.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
    After each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
(particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
    installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat BTW to the manufacturers - manufacturers of devices DO WORK DO NOT THEIR SCANNER-
    manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

My Windows mail crashes whenever I hear from Facebook. Any ideas? Thank you!

E-mails from Facebook are built a little differently than most, and they can sometimes do this, because they go outside certain standards.  What you can try to do if this happens a lot is go in tools | Options | Read and check to read all messages in plain text only and then open the message from Facebook.  Or you can try doubleclicking top to open it in a window without displaying in the preview pane, and that could keep him under lock and key.

  • Media players and windows Explorer crash

    Hello

Recently I got this problem where my windows Explorer crashed whenever I opened Control Panel, specifically, whenever I tried to view the system information. I tried a few "solutions" that I saw on the internet nothing has worked so far - this all started about 2 months ago, when I tried to update my graphic drivers.

Then a few days ago I was watching movies with my laptop and I fell asleep while the film was presented, my laptop is not plugged the battery flat overnight. When I woke up and return the laptop computer he would play no matter what video file with any of my media players (Windows Media Player, GOM or VLC) - when I try to open the video file, it simply says that GOM/VLC/WM has stopped working, then closes.

    Important notes:

-I am able to watch movies if I boot in safe mode (there is simply no sound.)

-I can also go in control panel - system of information if I boot in safe mode.

-I am running windows 7 (with the latest updates)

    -J' use a pavilion dv6.

-All music files open with media players, the problem is just video files.

I suspect it's a graphics related question, but I'm not sure. It works as it should when it is in safe mode, but I don't know how to say what is causing the problem.

Many thanks for any help :)

    Hi Mithrandir,

    I found the problem!

I updated the graphics driver and that seemed to do the trick - the players videos play in all media and is not any control panel crash or media players.

The only problem I have now is that after the backlight driver update does not work (although it is a driver issue it seems that many people have had) - I was wondering if you know if it is possible to reinstall the previous driver (not just go back to it, but have in fact all this re installed because I think there's maybe a corrupt file or something like that which was causing the) problem)

So, as I thought it was the graphics driver that caused the outcome...

    Hello

My Vista PC crashes. I think it has something to do with the screen saver, memory, HARD drive or energy economy. I have tried different tricks like turning off screen saver, change the setting for power, HARD drive always 'on '... But no changes have so far resolved the issues.

I was not able to identify a single application or function as the source of my problems...

My Vista works very well, but if a leave as the computer and screen saver starts or the computer screen will energy efficient, it will crash when I "wake up".

I've updated the system and all the applications and drivers, but the system is still unstable and cannot be left for an extended period of time before this crash. As long as I'm working on the PC all works. If I leave my PC, I have to turn it off.

    Hello

    Did you change your computer?

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

I suggest you check in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If you are able to start your computer in safe mode, I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

To set up the computer in a clean boot, follow the steps in the link: How to perform a clean boot

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After checking in the clean boot, follow step: 7 article to reset your computer to normal startup.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to see the link and check out the program does not.

What does it mean when a program is not responding?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-does-it-mean-when-a-program-is-not-responding

    Method 3:

I suggest to download and install the Microsoft safety scanner and run the scan and check.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
