  • What dblink is available first?

    Hello

I've connected to the database with a user. And a user has a dblink, name of dblink is USB and connects R1 remote database user.
Already, a public dblink is created as USB and it connects R2 remote database user.

So if I have the all_db_links of a request with a user in the local database, I could see two of these dblinks, and I wonder if I question the ' select * from dual@dblk ", which user I connect to the remote computer, R1 or R2?

    Thank you.

As a general rule, a local of the users settings will override settings wide database.

  • Where is the HTML of JDeveloper 11g ADF FACES?

I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 for my project. I remembered in 10g I a list of HTML tags such as, afh:tableLayout, afh:cellFormat, etc. under ADF FACES HTML package. However, in new JDeveloper 11 g, I saw that ADF carrots and there is no ADF Faces HTML tag. They are always available in 11g? If so, how can I install these tags in JDeveloper 11 g?

You will need to add the components of the Trinity to your project - tags are there.
But the question is if you really need to use these components, or maybe the layout components that provide the ADF Faces will be enough for you.

  • 11g R2-uninstall option

I work in an environment where no X-Windows/GUI is permitted; so I try to perform a - silent uninstall a 11 g R2 on RHEL 5.3 installation.

It seems that the - uninstall flag for the YES has been deleted and is no longer available in 11g R2. I do not see it when I fell. / runInstaller-assisted; However, I decided to try to use it anway and met the following message is displayed:

Can someone confirm that - uninstall is no longer an option from the 11 g R2? I know for a fact that it was an option in 10g R2 and 11g R1. If the option has been removed, so is there a separate method for uninstalling (silently) a 11g R2 install?

  • follow the package/db_link?

Is there a way to know if any package calls a dblink?

    Oracle 11g - data warehouse.

Here's the scenario.  Users log into a web application, and once connected, the application run reports on the data warehouse in points of view.

There is a dblink once a week hitting the database of production to refresh the views.

I want to know if one of the packets belonging to the same owner of the app schema, never remember the production tables for other reasons by the dblink.

I tried to watch user_source, dba_db_links and some other places.  Nothing tells me what I need.

How can I watch the database/system in a way to say: "ok, so this package/procedure/function/X running, and running on this dblink to another database."?

    Thank you.

Looking at that, I'm trying to see where the correlation is to show me what I'm looking for.

The only thing I can see the reference to East of global temporary tables.  Can you be more specific please?

In dba/all/user_dependencies the referenced_link_name column will show the name (if any) of the database link used to reference the object in the referenced_name column.  The name column shows the object that refers to the object in the referenced_name column.

I don't use synonyms for database links, if I'm not sure if the synonymous line in the dependencies table would show the name of the link, or not, but synonymous show.  If they do not appear in the table of dependencies, you could also look in the dba/all/user_synonyms table that has a column called db_link.

  • Cut the text column's timestamp hh

    Hi all

    I'm cutting the text column's timestamp hh: 2014-02-18 08:39:56

I tried the format of data as hh: mm, but it does not work as she filed is defined as text and also Cast (Cast (as float) as timestamp) / cast (as a timestamp) did not work.

many will appreciate any advice on how to solve this problem!

    Hello

It is a new feature available in 11g...

Column properties Goto--> column properties--> format of data--> custom--> hh: mm

This will display the format hh: mm in the timestamp format.

    Thank you

  • Question: Why is updated for each change views? No way to turn it off?

    Hello

in OBIEE 11 g, it seems that the point of view of Pivot refreshes whenever we make a simple change (for example change of aggregation rule). I want to make all my changes and then review the results.

in 10g, we had an option to uncheck the "Display results" checkbox to view the report once all changes have been made.

Is there something similar in 11g? and if there is any is to display specific or can be done on a system wide basis?

    Hello

I think that the "Display results" option is still available in 11g. (To be precise, I checked in items 7.1.) It's just the menu options at the top of the pivot table editor. OK, here's the navigation; Analysis-> Edit Pivot table-> main menu-> between show/hide pane layout and formatting of the importation of another analysis.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

  • 12 c and Exadata

This could be something more for the Exadata forum, but, Hey, I thought I'd ask here anyway...

What I said (for about 18 months) by various people from Oracle, 12 c OEM (do we call it "Cloud Control" or "OEM"?) is supposed to play much more pleasant than the 11g OEM done with Exadata.

"Fantabulous!', as I say, because working with Exadata 11 g OEM it is pretty frustrating (especially with storage cells and ASM stuff).

Someone at - he had experience with this? It really worth the upgrade ESPECIALLY if you have an Exadata machine? The reason I ask, is that we are looking to possibly build a 12 c OEM to manage our Exadata systems and 11 GR 2 and keeping our version 11g for 9i and 10g systems we have (I know, I know, believe me, I know...).

I am considering a project of Exadata suggesting rather than having to upgrade it as its own stand-alone project.

No position would be greatly appreciated.

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

I found OEM 12 c to be a big step upwards of 11g for the management of the Exadata, particularly at the level of the initial configuration. If you have followed the process in 11g, you know there are many plug-ins to deploy comprehensive monitoring: InfiniBand, Cisco, KVM switch, ILOM, PDU management switch, etc. I also found agent high availability in 11g to be pretty complex to configure.

12 c on the other hand has a whole Exadata system design and can centrally manage all components of the Exadata.

12 c, we started to see the ability to actually make configuration changes also, for storage servers instead of using the CellCLI; For example, IORM now has a new slick interface to create and manage resource plans.

I'd suggest priorities for an upgrade of 12 c OEM to arrive before your upgrade of the Exadata, if you can avoid the pain of a temporary configuration 11g OEM and duty change shortly after.

    See you soon!
