Deactivate the voice command

I accidentally activated the voice command on my laptop and I don't want to use it. How can I stop this?

This will be an icon running in the taskbar near the clock (it looks like a microphone).  Simply, do a right click and "exit".

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  • How can I disable the voice command all together?

I hope someone can help me.  In recent months I have experienced a problem with my iPod Touch [128 GB] which I have not had in the past.

I plug my headphones to listen to music when I'm about to go for a walk.  However, soon after my iPod in my pocket, the voice command is activated (see image).  I have the firm down, but I still have problems.  The music I listen to speed upward (as it is sent) or he's going to jump until then randomly in the track or other tracks.  The voice command is activated again at irregular intervals.

I don't know if it has something to do with my headphones (attached image), which has a built-in microphone.  The reality is that I never use the voice command and don't think I ever have to use it on my iPod.

I read on the deactivation of Siri, but Siri is already disabled.

    Thank you very much

You can disable VC turning Siri.

I would try another pair of headphones. I suspect that the headset turn on VC.

  • Assign the hardware key as a shortcut to the voice command

Hello, I've just jumped ship from the Iphone Razr HD and love it.

I do miss the home key on my old iphone in which, while driving, I could hold it then said 'Call home' and he would compose without having to take my eyes off the road. I love the voice command which is on this phone, but would like to make a hardware keyboard shortcut to work similar to the iphone. Is there a way I can attribute that to one volume or other button? I really hope it can be done because I have seen most of the phones have some sort of feature like this.

In addition, do not know why, but I couldn't find my serial number of phones in 'about phone'. I had to dig the box for it. I looking in the wrong place? Usually, this is where is the serial number.

Thanks in advance. I've always owned Motorola phone and am very happy to be back. The features of this phone are amazing compared to the Iphone.

  • Home Kit is just the voice commands?

So, just to confirm my interpretation of this...  Kit home of Apple is mainly for use SIRI.  This isn't an app that brings together all your smart house equipment. Fix?  It's just for voice commands?  Not looking forward to a folder and by jumping in and out of different applications... This is not ideal.  Thanks for any help or suggestions you guys have to offer.

Yes, HomeKit is just a framework that allows to communicate with each other and the services built into iOS with other applications. There is no Apple app puts it all together.

Apple let know what you think about this here...

  • Question of Smartphones on how blackBerry torch performs the voice command dialing

The torch requires a data connection to the internet to dial by voice command?  My Pearl dial any number in my repertoire by voice command.  It requires no "training".

I checked on Android - based phones - they all connect to the Internet to perform voice dialing - therefore, require a data plan.

I like the touch screen of the torch, but it want voice dialing by recognizing my directory names without having to access the Internet.   None of the vendors selling BlackBerry can answer that.

No, you don't need an internet connection to use voice dialing on a BlackBerry phone.  You talk, he listens to, end of story.

It's how good BlackBerry are devices.

  • Disable voice command in iOS 10

I'm not able to turn off the voice command. It's really annoying that when I hold the long home button, it activates the voice control. I tried to activate Siri, but the application does not appear in my settings. Maybe because I don't want to use Siri. How can I solve the problem of voice control?

Voice command cannot technically be disabled.

This workaround will allow to Siri that replaces voice command, allow a password locking and then disable the lock screen Siri. This allows to keep the Home running the voice command or button Siri if the screen is locked, preventing calls from Pocket.

    • Open the settings app.
    • Click on Siri (below its option n greater than touch id and password)
    • Turn Siri ON. This may seem counterproductive, but you will need to turn on Siri first in order to substitute the voice control
    • Return to the settings menu and select 'password '.
    • Tap "turn passcode on" and create a password if you have not already.
    • Tap on the "Voice Dial" option to disable the voice dialing.
    • Tap on the option "Siri" turns off Siri to the lock screen.
    • Set 'Password required' to 'Immediately'. This will force your phone to require a password as soon as you turn the screen off, preventing calls from Pocket.
    • Lock your phone. Now that your settings are correct, you will not be able to start the voice command or Siri when long-pressing the Home button while the phone is locked in your pocket.

    Hope this works for you...

downside: you have now turned on siri. as soon as you turn it off, voice dialing is to a previous state...:
