Debugging a dll DIAdem vc?
Hi all
I want to debug a vc dll which is used in the script of DIAdem. I recorded the dll in the tiara. My main goal is to debug the code for vc ++ since the tiara, once the function in the dll in vc is has occurred in the script of DIAdem. My version of diadem is 9.1 and vc is 6. I gave the application target in visual studio to be tiara and tried to run in debugging, but debugging does not have vc code.
If someone met the same before letting me know the steps of this process. The dll that I use is a GPI extension DLL

Errors in debugging horizonplugin.dll

How do you determine why an individual entry point throws this error in a job or build?
Solved. This follow-up to the presence of copies of hzntaplugin.dll and horizonplugin.dll at the root of c:\windows in addition in the correct locations of the DLL 32 bits in c:\windows\syswow64 and 64-bit DLLS in c:\windows\system32 (target machine). Deleting these files from c:\windows immediately eliminated error.

LabWindows CVI and debugging dll MSVC ++
We use a written LabWindows/CVI DLLS in the code for Teststand module. This DLL calls a DLL written in MSVC ++. Is it possible to use the debugger of Labwindows/CVI debug this DLL MSVC ++ (if this DLL MSVC ++ is built with 'good' options)? Or is possible only using the environment of development MSVC ++?

The CVI compiler generates different types of than MSVC debugging information.
The debugger CVI doen't understand the debugging information generated by MSVC, so you cannot debug the dll compiled in MSVC.

debugging error in CVI to within TestStand, whole plant TestStand app
good, maybe it's not technically a 'crash', but the end result is the same. Here's the scenario:
I'm debugging a DLL created by CVI in TestStand.
the DLL has a runtime error that needs to be debugged, so I BREAK and launch debugger CVI.
Finally the CVI debugger must be dismissed (say for a fatal error), and a popup says "this will end the process being debugged. You want to put an end to this process? »
Can we assume that the CVI is the process ending, right? Well, apparently not, because if I say 'Yes' it requires an immediate stop of TestStand and let the DLL terminated in CVI. which is not very useful, so I quit that too and reopen TestStand. that gets pretty boring.
any suggestions or advice on how to stop this behavior occurs?

You follow the recommended procedure for your debugging DLLs? Details of the exact steps taken to reproduce the behavior can be useful, but I would like to first of all make sure that you follow the steps in knowledge base.
One thing to note is that TestStand itself uses the CVI runtime engine, so if we are closing the debugger CVI I understood why he could stop TestStand (although it is understandable that it could be quite annoying). Any subject, if you let me know more details about what you are doing, I can look at the issue a little more away.

I am sure that I have included the file labview.lib or labviewv.lib, because the manual says labview 8.0 or new version must include labviewv.lib rather than labview.lib.
And I also tried to insert extern "c" before the declaration of the function. It does not work.

Your labviewv.lib file seems more likely to be corrupt.
When I take your project and remove the reference to labviewv.lib and instead to modify the project settings to use labviewv.lib in the link settings and by far my path to C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\cintools as additional link directory everything works fine.
Your labviewv.lib also, the LabVIEW 8.0 to 8.6 mine are all around 450 kB 1.7 MB.
If it is a legitimate link to LabVIEW 2009 file it may have been created with a version of Visual C and/or options that make it incompatible with the VC 6. Consider that 6 VC is about 10 years old.

I pinned the problem on the first line of code that calls a function of the third-party DLL. When I comment on this line, all right, but when I uncomment it, I get the above errors. So my question is if there is nothing to debug the DLL problem, I can more. The DLL was just delivered with a software development kit, so I do not have access to the source.

ArieAny reason you use the CS5 SDK? CS6 is a pretty good choice these days as most of the users subscription/cloud use CS6, AFAIK. And a basic CS6 plugin will also work in AE CC in most cases.

Handle of the object TS_ExprCtrl_Create

I'm using LabWindows/CVI 9.0.1 and TestStand 4.1.1.
When I debug my DLL CVI with resource tracking tool, I see that the TS_ExprCtrl_Create function creates 3 handles.
When the Panel is discarded, 2 handles are automatically rejected.
But there are still 1 handful who's never been discarded.
There is a leak memory or did I miss something? Use a function to release the last handle?

This is a memory leak in TS_ExprCtrl_Create. What happens is that ts_exprctrl_create calls TS_ExprCtrl_CreateActiveXControl, which calls TSUI_ExpressionEditGetBorders to get a handle of object at the interface of borders. But CA_DiscardObjHandle is not called on the handle of the borders object.

Hello world - does not not for illustrator 64bits

I've been scripting illustrator for a few years now and would like to delve into the creation of Plugin/Extension.
so to start I downloaded the SDK and worked my way through the HelloWorld example in the to get started with Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 Development.pdf.
The first thing I noticed is the '...-... " \illustratorapi\adm; ' does not exist in the SDK, but I added what it anyway as the road doc said. does not seem a mistake.
My real problem is that, once compiled and saved in the folder plugin, I a popup when illustrator CC2015 starts to say:
Error loading Plugin.
HelloWorld.aip
When I run illustrator CC (which is 32-bit) I get the good Hello everyone and Goodbye World as expected
I am new to VisualStudio and C++, so relied on simple tutorials to help me get started.

Forms & installation of reports of 11 GR 2 - could not create the domain
Hi, I'm trying to install forms and reports 11 GR 2 (version 11.1.2.2.0) on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer. Here's that I try:
1.7.0.51 for Windows 7 64-bit JDK installation
Installation of WebLogic 10.3.6 bits 'Generic' (java-Xmx1024m-jar wls1036 - generic.jar) without configuration.
Forms and reports 11.1.2.2.0 installation:
-installation without configuratoin
-Keep the default values for the other parameters
So far, no problems found.
Now, configuration of forms and reports:
-for development
-Keep the default values
He began the creation of the area (< middleware_home > / user_projects/domains/ClassicDomain /...), but after two hours, just says status: error...
Any idea? I didn't know what to do now!

I am doing a new installation, with more RAM and a static IP address (other points were already ok), but same result...
Finally, I found the problem. First, I make a default installation of the JDK (c:\Program Files\Java\...). I try again on a new machine, but I install java in a directory with a shorter name (c:\java\...). And this time, I can do the installation completely!
Is it written in the doc?

Does not basic SDK migration to VS2012.
After a struggle with Visual Studio 2012, building my custom plugin, I decided to make a new download of the SDK and try to build examples of projects with VS2012. None of them build after done VS a 'Migration' to 2012. All projects in the solution file fail to build with the same error. Here is the result of the build process for Paramarama:

So, I checked some of the property pages of the project. Here are a few screenshots:
I'm curious to know why the extension of the target is set to ".dll", but the output file is .aex. The extension of the target should be .aex? Also, what must the "Configuration Type" be on because a .aex file isn't necessarily a .dll file (although maybe I'm wrong here)? Is a .aex a .dll file?
And one last question: what %(Link.OutputFile) mentioned in the error I get on the building.

ArieWell, I finally got the examples of construction projects in VS2012 and the .aex file is generated and great work once copied to the folder of the AE. This thread on MSDN has helped. Anyway, it was relatively simple after careful observation. It is worth noting that the configurations of project file contains the environment variable $(AE_PLUGIN_BUILD_DIR), and it must be set up in your system advanced as a new System Variable settings dialog box so that it points to the desired location. It is also noted that because of the UAC (User Account Control) in Windows, you can really build in the folder Plugins in AE. I came across the fact that permissions issues, and the .aex was just created.
The value of "Output directory" under the tab "Configuration-> General properties" must match the "output folder" on the "General" under "Linker" tab In addition, the migration to VS2012 makes the value of 'Extension target' ".dll", but you need to change it to ".aex.
Specifically, here are the screenshots of my VS IDE. I hope this might help someone on the line who is using VS2012. Finally, I can start the creation of the Windows platform.
