Decent graphics for HP Pavilion p7-1510

I have a p7-1510 Pavilion. I put the power supply to a 600w versus the 300w supplied with desktop. I want to get a decent graphics card, so I don't have to struggle with the integrated graphics driver (ro whatever you call it). Any ideas on a decent (under $100 USD preference) graphics card? (About this more intense GAME on my system is GTAV).

@PetoriusRex

Most of the newer graphics cards should work if put in correspondence with the right kind of food.  Do a measure inside to make sure it fits.

The manufacturer of the graphics card can give you a recommendation for a size of power supply.

Low profile cards should work as long as they come back with a PCI Panel Mount size.

It is up to you to decide between performance and the depth of your portfolio.

We cannot help here as well. There is no way to change the graphics chip. It is soldered to the motherboard. You have the Radeon HD 7670 M 1 GB dedicated video that's actually pretty good for a laptop. I think there may be another motherboard with a 2 gig of essentially the same video chip version but the cost vs benefit of such upgrade would be unwise. Huge cost, very little improvement.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6-6192sl Entertainment Notebook computer. Based on the specifications, this model supports "HP Switchable Graphics". Intel driver was will refuse to install it because of the customization of HP. The provided HP driver Intel you have downloaded and tried to install is for the models that have no switchable graphics. The graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) is the pilot of the only viable solution because it contains the AMD and Intel drivers needed for your computer.

An option that is very popular with people who want more drivers, is the third-party provider http://leshcatlabs.net/.  -I recommend read you and well understand why driver signature enforcement must be disabled to load these drivers and what risks it may pose. • Graphics for a Pavilion dv6 driver

Hope I'm in the right category for this:
Someone (from a forum of official support of a well-known program, I'm talking to you) tried to update my graphics driver - and disrupted something or other.

In fact, two graphics cards have been updated, which may have resulted that tiny being transformed in a primary, but I'm not sure.

Result: A lot of things (elements of Web site, for example) are not displayed properly, if at all, however the images look good, despite requiring more colors and resources. Originally all browsers stops after a minute or two, and so did other programs. To return to the last driver for the main graphics card prevented them from dropping all the time, but the display of Web sites and other things is always odd, largely in black and white. Go further does not work, unfortunately.

I'd like to get the original graphics card drivers to see if that would fix things, but I can't find them through the driver page - my computer is not listed. -The original drivers were of 2011, that I remember, so I hope they are available.

  • updated graphics for HP Pavilion P6-2378

Need help.  I installed an EVGA GeForce GT 630 graphics card to my daughters computer.  Already added a new power supply and disabled the onboard graphics through the devcie maneger.  When I reboot everything I get is a black screen.  I tried to reinstall the new card and still a black screen.  The card does not have a power adapter more, it runs off the Board. The fan on the new card works, so I guess that it is sitting correctly.   I installed the graphics cards before and had no problems.  This is a new card and this computer has always used the integrated graphics card.

    Don, welcome to the forum.

The first thing you need to do is to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 250W.  It is not enough to run a new intermediate level video cards.  They require a minimum of 400W.  It would be a good idea to buy at least one with 500W.  This will give you more choice of cards.  I love the Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I always suggest measuring the current PSU and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

You should stay at 9 "or less for the duration of the video card.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.  You would need a larger case to go further.  I like XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  The two cards in the links can be inserted into the computer and they will be good for the games.  Be sure to read the 'Détails' and 'Clients' to learn more about each of them.  I'm looking for products that have more than 100 customers and are at least 4 eggs.  Normally, this will be a very good product.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline 400 - 020l: Compatible for HP Pavilion Slimline 400 graphics card - 020l

    Hello

Please give me recommendation or choice, compatible (vga) graphics card for HP Pavilion Slimline 400 - 020l available on the market.

    Hello

You need an active UEFI, low profile graphics card low power with support of full size.  Sometimes graphics cards are supplied with two brackets.  Your PC has only a 270-Watt power supply, so your pickins will be limited.

I saw a few cards that could work but all graphics cards manufacturer recommend a greater power.

A higher power Slimline power of Athena could work in your PC.

You can use GPU - Z to determine performance (band memory bandwidth) as a starting point for when you are looking for a graphics card.

  • How can I determine compatibility graphics card for a Pavilion P6-2378?

Is there a manual or a list of compatible graphics cards for my Pavilion P6 2378 office? I have improved the power to 500 watts and try to install a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 PCIe 3.0. It is buggy on startup because it takes about 45 seconds for the display to get a signal and Windows Media center does not open with the card, but does so with the removed card.

Thank you for your response... P6-2378 is a desktop, not a laptop. I found the cause of the problem and it has to do with the settings that HP or Microsoft Wind8 in the WOODS with the parameter 'Secure Boot'. It must have the value 'Legacy Boot' for a different graphics card to work.

    Hello

Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

    • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
    • Need new card system (Yes),
    • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
    • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
    • Cost of the work.
    • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

It can be cheaper to buy a new machine.

    I hope this helps.
