  • Cannot change the default audio playback device

    Hello

I tried to get a sound via HDMI, but after hours of trying, each solution is to change the audio playback device by default (in the volume mixer). My PC allow me to do so! It just won't change current default device (digital output Realtech). Can anyone help? It's driving me crazy.

Then, it is the question, if you want to change things in the bios.
You can make changes so that the pc will not start, so be careful. If you don't change anything else, save.

    It is described here:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01884922

You can try some of the other steps first, access to the bios is described before step 10.
You can 'onboard audio' the value 'Auto', or just turn it off.

  • Why save for Web and devices is grayed out?

I have Photoshop CS5 on Mac OS X Lion mountain. PS works fine, until today. On some images, I work with, file > save for Web and devices is grayed out. In addition, to save money, the options are extremely limited. It is obvious that I inadvertently clicked on something that caused this, but I just can't understand that.

I took a screenshot of Photoshop with a test image (test.psd), whose resolution is 72px, RGB, 32 bit, appearance save for Web and devices greyed out. And a screenshot of the Save as dialog box.

I am confused and appreciate much help!

Right. You work in 32 bits per channel. Change your bit depth.

  • Need help with audio playback by default/current VISTA device

    Hello

I need to get the current audio playback device in VISTA. It is quite easy to XP because I just get this information from the registry. My understanding is that things are different in VISTA. I was told you cannot change the unit but you can get the device using the following...

    -CoCreateInstance (IMMDeviceEnumerator)
    -IMMDeviceEnumerator-> GetDefaultAudioEndpoint (eConsole)

Problem is that I don't know what to do with it. I guess it must be compiled with a library (compiler, library, etc...) I do not have)

So... question, is there already a xtra that can get this information OR I can pay someone to do a xtra using the information above?

If you are able/willing to help, please let me know as soon as possible because the project is due next week. I can pay you through paypal.

    Thank you!!!

  • Is there a way to have Firefox respects the audio output device by default when it has been modified while Firefox is open?

I've been a Firefox user for many years and I still use it as my main browser. A problem that has bothered me for years lies in the fact that when Firefox is open and I change my audio output device by default, Firefox does not respect this change and continues to play audio through the device that was used to originally. Even if you stop the audio and keep playing, does not change the output device.

Is there a way that this can be configured in Firefox? Now, if I listen to music online (e.g. Soundcloud) I always use Chrome because it is respect changing the default audio output even in the middle of audio playback device.

    Reproduce:

    1. start audio playback (for example a YouTube video; HTML5 and Flash are affected)
    2. change your audio output device by default
    3. audio will continue to play the original output device

  • Change the default audio device and the recognition of the application

I'm new to Vista (home premium w/sp2) and I am confused by works the assignment of default device (control_panel-> sounds), specifically the device change with existing applications (running).

I change frequently between the speakers and the headphones - however, the change of output device is not recognized by running applications, such as iTunes or Firefox and will not be recognized until I have completely quit and restart the application.

Why?  It is extremely annoying and incoherent other well educated such as Mac OS X platforms.  I would just like to change the default audio output device, on the fly, without the need to restart applications.

I do something wrong or Vista offers this functionality to the end user?

    Thank you!

    Hello Wyntr,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

Currently, the function of switching between audio output devices is carried out manually. To make the selection, you can click the sound icon in the taskbar, then click the button at the bottom of the volume control Mixer. In the properties of the volume, you can click on devices in the upper left corner and select the appropriate device to make it the default for applications open from then on.

Find your way to: " > System Preferences > Sound" click on the tab called [exit] and click on Apple TV in the list. Your Apple TV now works as the speaker on your MacBook Air.

  • Audio USB device not recognized by flow 7 Tablet PC

Half the reason I bought the 7 flow was to use it has a music player with my D2 USB Audio DAC Headdphone Amp iBaso.

The device is recognnized by my Office Win 8.1 and all other computers, I plugged in.  Why it is not recognized as an audio playback device is beyond me.  I tried all of the suggestions that I could find on the net without a bit of luck.  Is therte a reason why this feature has been disabled on the 7 Strwea?

    Problem solved!

It turned out to be a combination of the usb cable and the USB OTG hub.  The iBaso has been specific cable on the device being recognized on my desk.  When I tried the work cable witht the OTG hub on the 7 of flow is not as usual.  But when I tried the market good adapter monoprice it worked.

Audio usb solves the problem of horrible noise with the jet 7 lookiing for a fix for anyone.

The OTG hub works with a mouse and a player mSata perfectly, but not with the iBAso CAD.

  • No HDMI Audio, could not play the test tone, cannot change the default playback device

Hello, I have real trouble with my HP Pavilion dv6-2160us experience (with the i3 - 330 M, no dedicated graphics card) Windows 7-64 bit, SP1 PC and I would be happy to help.

I created a new thread because, despite the fact that many other people have experienced a problem similar to this and have posted what has worked for them, nothing has worked for me.

    The problem (s):

My main problem is that I can not any audio to play from my PC to my HDTV HDMI.

When I plug my HDMI cable on my PC and the TV, the TV is recognized in the playback devices, but nothing he can play.

When I try to test the TV in playback devices, I get an error "could not play the test tone.

In addition, I want to mention a few other odd behavior that I think can be a part of the main problem.

In playback devices, I can't change anything. I can't disable or enable a device, I can not set as default playback or communication devices, and I can't save changes to the properties of the device. Whenever I try to change something, as the default playback device, nothing happens, or the changes are immediately reversed.

    The Question:

How can I get audio to play through HDMI on my PC (is not a problem with the TV, my other machines HP audio playback over HDMI it is fine)?

    What I tried:

    I tried:

    • Change the default playback devices, which I am unable to do
    • The utilities of reading Audio de Windows 7 running in a clean boot state
    • Uninstall and reinstall the driver Intel(r) Audio display
    • Uninstallation and reinstallation of the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
    • Uninstall the IDT Audio PC program under programs and features
    • Disable the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

    Nothing has worked.

The drivers I have are the latest issued by HP

How can I get this to work? I would appreciate help.

I'm at the point where I'm willing to try solutions quite technically involved, so feel free to post those.

    Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

OK, I finally have the answer for that.

If you experience this problem even and you want to fix it, you'll need a PC running the same version of Windows 7 that your PC works lot of work but it works without problems, with regard to this point.

Here's what I did to solve the problem:

    1. Create a system restore point.
    2. Run regedit.exe as administrator.
    3. Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices \Audio .
    4. Compare the permissions and attributes of ownership of this key and all subkeys to your work PC.
    5. Change all permissions and property attributes for interest on the defective PC keys as they are the same as those on the operation of the PC.
    6. Restart your faulty computer.

I hope this helps. It worked for me.

  • Windows 7 keeps defaulting to the helmet as a playback device

I got out of my sound card speaker plugged into a mixer. I plugged headphones on it and nothing in the plug headphones sound card. I put the speakers in the default device. Fine.

Yet, I do whenever I start like Windows 7 keeps resetting to the headset as default value. Why? How can I stop this?

    Hello

    Do the following and check.

    Step 1:

Rather than plug the headphones via the mixer, I would like you plug the headphones directly into the headphone jack of the sound card and then follow step 2.

    Step 2:

Now, set speakers as audio device by default.
    a. Click Start, type Sound in the box to start the search.
    b. click sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.
    c. click the reading notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers. Make sure that the audio settings are configured as expected. Follow these steps:
    d. on the Read tab, select the playback device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and make sure that the default Format is set to the value you expect. When you are finished, close this window to return to the previous window.
    e. on the Read tab, select the playback device, click on configure and make sure that the configurations are set correctly.
    f. Select the audio device you want to the default audio device and then click on set as default.
    g. click OK to save your settings and close the sound dialog box

  • No audio device and no playback device

Hello, I am very frustrated. My computer crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system Windows XP with a CD. I was finally able to get to my desktop, but I lost all of my date. This doesn't bother me. My screen always seem to be on the Safe Mode (large letters, bad resolution, etc.), I was able to fix this by downloading some updates to the graphics drivers. Now: The big problem is that I have no sound. He said: No Audio device. Everything is gray out. I have installed all updates this website told me. Pack 3 Windows, updates of security 77, Fixit sofware to solve problems, check my audio card, etc. etc. It becomes infinite and I had installed updates and crazy things. All I want is my audio to work so my speakers have her again. I don't know what else to do after having tried all of these steps windows troubleshooting. All are the same, but not solve my problem. I already went to... Device Manager sound controllers, multimedia audio controllers, I restart those, disable and re-enable back. Every step of this troubleshooting and Microsoft and all the websites with forums like this. I have already installed as thigs gs... SOMEONE CAN REALLY HELP ME?

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         Have you tried to install the sound card drivers on the manufacturer's Web site?

If Windows update is not able to find the drivers for the device so that Windows to recognize your sound card or processor, you must find and install a compatible driver on the manufacturer's Web site.

    No sound in Windows
