Default gateway continually replaced as white

I've been struggling with this problem for a few days now and it was infuriatingly difficult to overcome because of the nature of it. He appeared at random during an online session, Internet out crapped, the network went not identified and I walked into my usual routine of trying to fix it.

I have a Machine with Windows 7, a Vista laptop and another Machine 7 all on a router. However, I connected directly to the machine in question - (My Windows 7) via the modem and I still have the issue. For clarification, I don't use of wireless and I use Microsoft Security Essentials. The firewall is disabled at the moment.
I'm fairly certain that the problem is Windows 7 (I'll say why in a bit), but I have no idea what is the cause.
When I start it first, I'll have a normal Internet connection. After a period of time ranging from 10 seconds to 15 minutes, the connection will turn into a connection not identified - even though it will still claim that I am connected to the Internet - but I can't access Web sites or contact one of two computers that are running also.
I can easily reset it by disabling and enabling the lan line, but simply, it delays the inevitable. Another period of time passes and the connection will not be identified again. The significant problem only I see when I look at the properties of the connection, the default gateway is mysteriously empty.
The modem instructions ask that I use the auto ip configurations. I did this well in my attempts to solve this problem, I rebelled against them and put in those static without worrying. Unfortunately, there is nothing. A few hours passed and he happily returned to its not identified yourself.
Here's how I feel it's Windows. My BIOS starts a departure program that allows me to access the Web sites, configure other options in simple networking, Skype, alongside other online activities small and frivolous. I can run their browser for hours before Windows even starts. However, I would like more use a low browser and I obviously can't do anything else if it is not a practical solution. But it does not prove that Windows assigns the network somehow.
I tried several fixes by browsing many boards of Directors, but none of these things have worked. What's more fun is after every fix I wait a random amount of time (up to a few hours in some cases) where he became not identified again. Speaking of dashing hopes away.
  • I don't have a good morning and I eliminated all the Apple and Adobe products.
  • I removed the KB2705219update.
  • I refreshed the network through winsock.
  • I tried to renew and make by ipconfig but it gives me an error message about DHCP. I'm sure this brings me get where I need to go, but I have no idea.
  • I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers of network related through Device Manager.
  • For those who are picky, I tried to update all network drivers associated through the Device Manager, but they were already.
  • For the more picky, I tried to update all the drivers on the computer.
  • I did a system restore to a point before the last set of updates.
  • I tried to get Windows to Auto-Fix but it does not recognize the problem, or it stubbornly refuses to admit something is wrong.
  • I have Windows deliberately misconfigured in the hope that it would fix the problem with the incorrect configuration.
  • IPv6 is disabled, although I never remember turn it off. It mysteriously stopped working at the time that this problem appeared.
  • I made sure that the network hardware and software is not cut due to lack of power.
  • I disabled (and re-enabled once it didn't work) various offered services.
  • I used various downloadable 'Fix - It', but none have worked.
  • I put static IP addresses, the network remains in place longer, but he succumbed without worrying
. I tried this recently and it even doesn't work at all anymore.
  • I changed the speed and Duplex setting different but nothing helps.
  • I deleted the 0.0.0.0 Route, but it does nothing.
  • The only thing I've really messed with is the register, but who is playing with fire and I would rather not touch it unless I know it's going to be the solution.
If there is anything else you would like to know I can get, but my Windows 7 is a really nice machine and I want to do more with him than fire to the top of Spider Solitaire.

WOW, these are all the steps that I would have tried, we will launch it a bit.

I would say to post you this question on the Windows 7 Pro Forums/network.

Norton, I found a program that runs a system scan and tells you what is and does not work and he told me something nothing else was telling me (not), which is that I was not connected to my default gateway. I clicked on fix now and who connected but less than a minute after he stopped working again so I did a system scan again and again, he says that I am not connected to my front door. What can I do to make this stop. I am sure that is the problem and I want to know what is the cause and what I can do about it. Hi Josh,.

Thank you to contact Microsoft Community and we will be happy to help you with your concern.

According to the description, it seems that you are facing a problem when accessing network, default gateway is keep log.

It would be great if you could answer these questions to help you further.

      1. you are using a wired or wireless network?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

      Method 1:

I suggest you to run the network troubleshooter

Run the Windows 7 network troubleshooting: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Using-the-Network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Refer to the steps in the following Microsoft article:

Problems in Windows wireless and wired network connection: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-windows

      Method 2:

Disable all security software, including the Windows Firewall and then check if it solves the problem.

      Disable the anti-virus software: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Disable-antivirus-software

Enable or disable Windows Firewall: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

      Method 3:

This problem can occur if authentication enable IEEE 802. 1 X for this network checkbox is enabled. If this box is checked, but there is no server to authenticate the connection is interrupted. If you turn on the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short period.

To disable authentication IEEE 802. 1 X, follow these steps:

      a. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl, and then press ENTER.

      b. right click on your wireless network connection, then click Properties.

      c. click the wireless networks tab.

      d. under preferred networks, click your wireless network, and then click Properties.

    • Windows 7 default gateway is not available

I have excellent connections to MI-Fi wireless or your router (home or office) but no internet connection by using Windows 7 on netbook Dell. I tried to understand other assignments similar to my problem, but the answers are too technical.  is there a solution for Dummies?  my connections network does not show a connection to the Local network, if that helps.  After you follow the instructions in troubleshooting, I get a message that says default gateway is unavailable.

      Hello

      1. Since when are you facing this problem?
      2. is it works much earlier on this computer?
      3. don't you make changes on your computer before this problem started?
      4. you have from any other computer connected to the same network? If logged in, you are able to access the Internet on the other computer?
In the meantime, follow these steps and check.
      Step 1:
First, you try to run the troubleshooter from network built into windows 7 and check if it can help solve you the problem of connection to the Internet.
Access the link below and follow the steps.
      Step 2:
If the problem persists, you can manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well. Before assigning the IP address and the default gateway manually, make a note of the IP address on the computer. To do this open command prompt, type ipconfig and press to enter. This displays the IP address, make a note of it.
To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:
      a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose the open network and sharing.
      b. right-click on the connection to the Local network and click Properties. c. double-click Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and assign the IP address manually.
Example: Old Ip address is 192.168.0.1
      Replace the IP 192.168.0.50
      d. let the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.
      Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
      e. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.
      Step 3:
You can also try to contact the manufacturer of the router and try to reset the settings of the router and check if that helps you solve the problem.

      Step 4:
Also try to uninstall the network card in Device Manager, then restart the computer. Later allow Windows to install generic drivers and check if it works very well.

Before you uninstall the network card, I you suggests to create a System Restore Point manually, so that in this case, a problem occurs when performing these steps, you can always perform a system restore.

Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the network card.
      a. click on start
      b. in the type of search box of start of "devmgmt.msc" and press enter
      (c) in Device Manager, expand network adapters
      d. right-click on the network adapter and uninstall.
      e. restart the computer, and then reinstall the network card.
When uninstalling device drivers make sure you put a check mark against 'delete the driver for this device '.

    • Network connection keeps dropping, telling me "default gateway is not available".

My internet connection has recently started to fall all the time. When I disconnect and reconnect it starts works fine, but will soon fall again. No other computers in the House are affected.

Troubleshooting leads to the statement 'default gateway is unavailable', which attaches quickly and easily by restarting the connection, but he continues to to now (on average that will cancel undimmed 5-10 minutes at the present time, although this varies).

I'm not an expert, but please someone any ideas what I can do? I have Windows 7 and my network driver is Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

In addition to what Adam said. If your router's DNS is corrupted or is just too full. Yes, it can become too full. Then this happens often. You can reset your router to clear the DNS cache by either just unplug it from the power source and Internet connection, wait a few minutes and then it reboot. Or if it has an internal battery then push in a "Reset" hole on the back of it somewhere. Do not keep it pushed in cuz you have to reload everything for him and reconfigure. Just push in and he pushed. Make sure that you remove all the temporary internet files on your pc. IE does in the Tools/Options. And Firefox does in the Options. Personally, I put Firefox and IE automatically deletes all cookies, files and everything at the end. Chrome will do this also in the options. Or you could make a right click on my computer and click on tools and there should be an option to create more space on your hard drive that will get rid of all that. There is an easier way to do what I use, but you really should know what you're doing before you do it. Once you have done all this. Oh yes, make sure you do before that the router is turned off and unplugged. And make sure that you are not connected to any internet access point which I should say now to find an updated driver for your wireless network card before internet break and all, but do not install the updated driver again. Once you have managed to get rid of the useless * browsers save then it's a great time to use these tools in the my computer properties and use the defragmentation tool if you do not already have a third part one. Once defragmenting is complete. Then install the updated driver. After the updated driver is installed, shut down the pc. Don't do not restart as windows will ask after the update, simply close it. Then after the computer is turned off, then restart our router/modem and let it get fully online then start your computer. Now you should start from a clean slate. If you keep losing connection is that you have adware/malware or virus or someone else uses your wireless access point and hogging your bandwidth. If you do not have a password for your wireless network and then put an on it. Usually, if there is so much traffic through a certain access point, it overloads the router/modem and of coarse you get started from or whatever. In addition, you use a class N wireless adapter. So is your router/modem rank N? If this isn't the case, then you lose just that you can use the additional bandwidth. If your modem or router is grade G your adapter works only in category G. This means that 54mbs compared to the potential of concerts with degree N.

I can access wireless internet... but in lan, I can not... It is showing there is no default gateway... How can I solve this?

      Hello

      1. you have from any other computer connected to the same network? If logged in, you are able to access the Internet on the other computer?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

      3. What is the brand and model of the router?

In the meantime, follow these steps and check.

      Method 1:

First, you try to run the troubleshooter from network built into windows 7 and check if it can help solve you the problem of connection to the Internet.

Access the link below and follow the steps.

      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

      Method 2:

      Method 3:

You can also try to contact the manufacturer of the router and try to reset the settings of the router and check if that helps you solve the problem.

      Method 4:

Also try to uninstall the network card in Device Manager, then restart the computer. Later allow Windows to install generic drivers and check if it works very well.

Before you uninstall the network card, I you suggests to create a System Restore Point manually, so that in this case, a problem occurs when performing these steps, you can always perform a system restore.

Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the network card.

      a. click on start

      b. the start search box, type "devmgmt.msc" and press on enter

      (c) in Device Manager, expand network adapters

      d. right-click on the network adapter and uninstall.

      e. restart the computer, and then reinstall the network card.

When uninstalling device drivers make sure you put a check mark against 'delete the driver for this device '.

    • WiFi access limited, error: "the default gateway is not available.

I just bought a laptop Windows 8 last December. It had been repaired twice (change the motherboard). He works all fine until last week, wifi connectivity started showing limited access. Furthermore, my IPV6 shows no access. I tried many solutions to many websites, but all will not work. Is there another way? When I trobleshoot the problem, it will show wifi Internet but when I run Google Chrome, it displays an error of internet connection. After I trobleshoot, the stated problem is "the default gateway is not available. In addition, he recovers in about 5 minutes after trobleshooting access. I need a solution as soon as possible. URGENT!  In addition, may I know what caused this do? I hope some of you can help. :(

      Hi Amos,.

I understand that your WiFi connection fails.
According to the guidelines of the error (the default gateway is not available), there is a problem with the gateway IP address that does not connect to the internet.

I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

      1. did you of recent changes made to your computer (installation of updates, device drivers)?

      2. which antivirus app do you use?

What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try to solve this problem.

Method 1: Manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well. Before you assign manually the IP address and the gateway by default, do
a note of the IP address of the computer. To do this open command prompt, type ipconfig and press to enter. This displays the IP address, make a note of it.

To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:
      a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose the open network and sharing.

      b. click on change adapter settings

      c. right-click on the card's wireless connection and click on properties.

      d. Double click on Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Protocol and assign the IP address manually.
Example: Old Ip address is 192.168.0.1
      Replace the IP 192.168.0.50
      e. leave the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.
      Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
      f. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.

If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: I suggest you try the steps from the link given below:

Original title: standaardgateway is niet available

      Windows 8

now Internet then stops and begins again with appreciated: says "standardgateway is not available.
What can be the problem? Who knows the real solution?
      Default gateway is your router/modem

      McAfee can cause this

If you do not have McAfee try resetting your modem/router
Call your ISP and tell them that your router is doing this and ask for replacement
    • 5.1 ESXi host loses default gateway

I have an ESXi host with a teddy bear and two vSwitches. The 'outside' vSwitch is connected to the Teddy and downloading DHCP is VMkernel port, and one for an internal network for virtual machines and has a static IP address for its VMkernel port. There is a firewall VM that connects the two vSwitches and manages the NAT. Everything works fine until the host restarts and pulls the DHCP on the 'outside' vSwitch, but the 'inside' vSwitch then takes the same default gateway as the external vSwitch. The firewall VM still manages a VPN tunnel very well, so my backups off-site continue to operate, but when the 'inside' gateway VMkernel gets changed I cannot connect to the VPN tunnel. Can I change the rear gateway manually and it works as expected, but it does not stick. See the attached screenshots to get an idea of the config. It is ESXi 5.1.0 799733.

The issue is that an ESXi host vmkernel can only a single gatewat address affected-

    • VMkernel default gateway

We have two virtual switches, vswitch0 a management network which is VMkernel port. For some reason, we create vswitch1 vmkernel port of VMotion. I put the IP Address of the default gateway, which is different from the network management by default gateway.and I found management default network gateway is automatically changed to be identical to vswitch1. I wonder if a single ESXi server can have only one default gateway.

Yes ESXi will have only a single default gateway. You must add a rule of the road to the creation of the replacement bridge... Check out the link kb.vmware.com/kb/2001426

    • Cannot remove the VMkernel default gateway

      Guys,

I'm setting up some new ESX 4.1.0 servers and I'm running into a strange problem.  I create a new VMkernel port, according to my usual process, I leave VMkernel default gateway blank.  However, after you create the port I noticed the default gateway has filed is filled.  I; ve tried deletig the Group of ports and rercreating, but it continues to be.

Is it all the same installation of the gateway using esxcfg from the console (I don't know how to proceed to the service console)?

      Thank you.

      Hi Peter,.

If I remember correctly, you can have only a single default gateway for all your VMKernel ports. If you have set once this default gateway, this value is displayed on the screen of each VMKernel port configuration.

Take a look at the command-line 'esxcfg-road' to see what can be done.

      Good luck.
