Default phone number...

Hello... I have recently acquired the Backflip and fell on my 1st problem. On one of my contact number of the person (linked to blur and FB) has a ' / ' in the middle of the number (which does not allow me to call or txt this person)... I seconded this just to make sure that my sim contacts was not bad... the number is actually drawn of FB... However, when I go to the page the person FB and check their information, number is registered just fine... so idk what the deal is... I can't obviously change the FB number, and time a separate number does nothing... it maintains the default # compound FB number... y at - it a way to change the default number used? as I have a number of people, where the number of 'mobile' is not the default, I want to use... any help is greatly appreciated! TY!

It's hilarious... I've been on the phone with Motorola technical support for more than 2 hours now... Now, I want to talk to a technician level 3... I figured out a "work around" for my problem and I have to explain to a level 3 technician... I can't believe I'm explaining to them how to use their own equipment... I realize that I'm pretty tech savvy because a firewall engineer I'm totally would have expected more than one technology from motorola to level 3... Uggghhhh... Anyway here is the work around anyone that has this problem (as I can't believe I'm the only person who has lazy FB friends who don't update their information on FB... and again I would like to dial/txt OK # s for them...) (LOL!) :

separate the contact of motoblur and FB

go to the FB contact and modify > add a new phone (with # OK)

Relink motoblur contact and FB

voila... problem solved but "worked around".

insofar as the past of 'default' for a contact number... told me that's what the 1st number for this contact...

Jees... sounds like I need to go to work for motorola... Laughing out loud!

  • Remove phone number of iMessage

    Hi all

    I enabled iMessage on my Apple ID, that I use on my iPhone and my Macbook Pro. I added my mobile number to my Apple ID.

    I configured iMessage on my Macbook so I can only be reached on iMessage via my Apple ID address. I want to implement iMessage on my iPhone in the same way, so that I can only be reached through iMessage on my iPhone using my Apple ID email address. However, I can't delete my cell phone (settings > Messages > Send and receive) because it is grayed and checked by default. I'm only new conversations iMessage on my iPhone with my Apple ID email address.

    Any ideas on how I can avoid being reached on my cell phone on iMessage on my iPhone? Support the Apple docs say I have to remove my phone number from my Apple ID, but I won't do that because I 2FA activated on this number.

    Thanks for your help!

  • BlackBerry Z10 writing new Messages - Contacts combines a Mobile phone number, home

    When I chose to compose a text Message and select by a Contact who has multiple phone numbers stored, the phone selects the telephone number of the Contact homepage default rather than their Mobile phone number. I'm doing something wrong?

    I did a little experiment, created a group with 1 contact, send a text message to the group, sms went to the house number.

    I deleted then house number (which was at the top of the list) then added a new home field. After that the number of publishing house has yet shown on the top of the list, but sms now went to the Mobile number.

  • Get the phone number of mixed string

    Hello

    I'm new to the development of BB and I can't seem to understand this.

    What I want to do is to take a mixed string (the event details for a google calendar event) and get a string that contains something that looks like a phone number. It seems to be already features to recognize the phone numbers of a string there are things like ActiveRichTextFields, and I can get my BB to highlight these regions 'active', but I can't get this phone in a separate channel number.

    I'm totally lost on this, any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

    I'm not aware of any API that allows to determine what parts of a string BlackBerry will recognize by default.  I have never seen this in a field that is displayed on the screen.

    My first reaction is that you have to watch yourself to find these special criteria.  I hope that others have an opinion / a different option.

  • getDevicePhoneNumber() provides the phone number with the unicode left-to-right mark

    I use getDevicePhoneNumber (boolean format) ( http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/4.6.0api/net/rim/blackberry/api/phone/Phone.html#getDevice... (boolean)) to get the telephone number of my camera. I know that maybe it's not the actual number. I also can't use something else as the pin of the device. I use it to fill a field "my phone number" by default that can be edited manually in the case where the number is not correctly being read on the SIM card.

    It works really well and displays the phone number in the field. However, a thorough review to the string of shows that he has the mark unicode '% E2% 80% 8F' in front of the string. This brand is known in unicode (utf-8) "BRAND LEFT-to-RIGHT ' (sources: http://www.tachyonsoft.com/uc0020.htm and http://unicode-search.net/unicode-namesearch.pl?term=mark ).

    I only experienced it in BB OS 4.6 devices (does not check 4.7 yet), but it seems not to happen in OS 4.5 and below.

    Were there changes to the orientation of the chain in OS 4.6?

    Can I get rid of this brand using String.trim (); or I have to use something else?

    This problem persists on my 9000 "BOLD", but none of my other GPS phones.

    Because it was a pain to try to understand, here's the code I used to solve this problem.

    private String trimPhoneNumber(String phoneNumber){
        byte phoneBytes[] = phoneNumber.getBytes();
        int length = phoneNumber.length();
        int offset = 0;
        if ( phoneBytes[0] == 0x3F ) {
            length--;
            offset++;
        }

        return new String(phoneBytes, offset, length);
    }

  • Contact phones number smart blackBerry when rings

    When my phone rings, it shows the phone number of the appellants, but it will not show the name if they are in my contact list. Finished the call name contacts indicated in the call log, just don't no when sounds. Any ideas? Worm 4.7.1.57

    It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
    Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
    Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

    <af:outputText value="#{row.Phone1To3}-#{row.Phone4To6}-#{row.Phone7To10}" shortDesc="#{bindings.Phones.hints.Phone.tooltip}" id="ot2222"/>

    Another way (better, easier)?

    In my view, that the best practice is to do your own converter in this case you will not need transitional attributes as you did. After doing a converter, you can add this converter inside outputText inputText. .. to display the required format

    To find out how a converter, you can check this url

  • Regarding the Validation Manager for phone number

    Hi all

    I need to use a validation Manager so that I can post the phone number field that is available by default in the console of the IOM in creating user. I want to be able to verify that this phone number is 10 digits, and a few other validations we want to do. Now that I saw the doc Oracle which shows a validation example on the link Manager: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/oper.htm. The code is displayed as below:

    throws a ValidationException ValidationFailedException {}
    Parameters HashMap < String, Serializable > = orchestration.getParameters ();
    String password = (parameters.get("usr_password") instanceof ContextAware)
    ? (String) (Parameters.get ("usr_password")) .getObjectValue () (ContextAware)
    : (String) parameters.get ("usr_password");
    If (password.contains("$")) {}
    throw new ValidationFailedException();
    }
    }

    but I suspect there's a missing line above what should be as public EventResult run (long processId, long eventId, orchestration of the Orchestration). That said, the usr_password is the parameter that happened here using the parameters.get () function. However I can't figure out how I can check for the phone number of the same way? It will be like usr_telephone_number? Please guide me still.

    Also, I need to do as a manager of validation for email address where in the Organization the user selects should be the domain of the email for example address field. If the user selects a fictitious organization, then the validation of the email should work to check if the entered domain is [email protected]. So for this I think I might need the details of how to get the selected organization and the e-mail address entered. Can you please help me to get the names of parameters for these parameters? Or direct me to the doc or a link where it is mentioned? Don't want to do trial and error with an event handler. Please help me.

    Thank you

    Attributes are referenced by the 'attribute name', i.e. 'Phone number' and 'Email' for the attributes you want. To the organization that you use "act_key" However this only returns the key of the object of the organization database - and not its name. If you need the name for validation, you will need to get this through the OrganizationManager, for example to get the name of the Organization to the organization with the act_key key:

    OrganizationManager orgmgr = (OrganizationManager.class) Platform.getService;
    Set = new HashSetuploading.
    try {}
    org = orgmgr.getDetails (act_key, uploading, false);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    }
    orgName = (String) org.getAttribute ("name of the Organization);

    Note that act_key can be returned as a long and the need of conversion to a string first.

  • How to hold a phone number in a database

    What is the proper way to hold a phone number in a database and what SQL data type would you use?

    Whenever I had to collect phone numbers, I'd do it:

    (2) create three separate fields for the user to enter the hidden form to take only digital entries using CFINPUT masking function:
    (a) country_code (2 digits max, by default set to '1' for the United States of America)
    (b) city_code (4 digits max, zero stripping any leader before inserting it into the database)
    (c) numero_tel (10 digits max)

    (3) in the database:
    (a) three tables: tel_country_code, tel_city_code, numero_tel
    (b) the numero_tel has a FK to the tel_city_code
    (c) the tel_city_code has a FK to tel_country_code

    I hope this helps.

  • Phone number not an option for iMessage on iPad mini

    Hello

    So my ID Apple was recently hacked and had to change my password on all my devices (iPhone 6 and mini iPad). But now that I changed, my iMessage works well for my iPhone, but on my iPad, I have no option to choose my phone number. I tried to reset iMessage, reset my iPad, everything. Now I'm curious to know why, that's happened what else I can do for an option again.

    Thanks in advance for helping me!

    To go through all these steps?

    Use continuity to connect to your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch - Apple Support

    Use this feature with any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that satisfies the requirements of continuity system. Make sure that your devices are configured as follows:

    • On iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Make sure the Apple ID at the top of the screen is the same Apple ID you use for iMessage on other devices. Add a check to your address, phone number, so that you can be reached by both iMessage. Do the same on your iPad or iPod touch.
    • On iPhone, go to settings > Messages > transfer, text messages, then choose which devices to send and receive text messages from the iPhone. A verification code and then on each device. Enter this code on your iPhone.
    • On Mac, open Messages, and then choose message > Preferences. Click accounts, and then select your account from iMessage. Make sure the Apple ID shown here is the same Apple ID you use on other devices. Add a control to your phone number and email address.
