Defective Autolock on watch

After working perfectly for 8 months, my watch began constantly auto locking and who need the code of access while firmly on my wrist.

-J' did a complete reset

-J' turned off the watch and phone and then re-paired

-J' cleaned the sensors - appearing unamaged

-J' shook the adjustment on the Strip

All the fitness tracking seems to work fine - outside as 'stand', which records at all.

Any ideas gratefully - received thank you very much!

Hi Deb

Try deactivation and reactivation time code access and detection of wrist (note that this will remove any cards that you've added to your watch to pay Apple):

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > wrist Detection - turn off the power.

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > Passcode > press activate the password off the coast.

If this does not resolve the problem, then, given the steps that you have already tried, I suggest you contact Apple Support (mail service may be available) or make a booking Genius Bar in order to have your watch checked under warranty:

    Hi Billie

    If you experience a rash, swelling, itching or irritation any discomfort on your skin around or under your watch, Apple recommends that you remove your watch and see a doctor / physician before wearing again. Skin reactions may be the result of various causes including:

    • Allergies (such as nickel):
      • Parts of some bands of Apple Watch stainless and magnets strips contain some nickel.
    • Prolonged exposure to irritants (e.g., SOAP or the sweat);
    • Environmental factors;
    • Wear the tape too tight or too loose (for example causing friction).

    Irritants can do skin reactions more likely if found between the watch and/or tape and your skin. Keeping your watch, strip and clean, dry skin can maximize comfort and prevent damage in the long term of the watch. It is particularly important to do after workouts or exposure to liquids that can cause irritations of the skin.

    Hello

    It is possible that you did only scratched in the coating resistant to fingerprints, repellent. It is normal that this coating to wear away under normal conditions of use, but it can become scratched without damaging the screen below.

    If you have scratched the screen or not, Apple recommends not using products cleaning or polishing or Polish the watch with abrasives; These will carry away the lining and may also (still) scratches on the display under.

    The watch is covered under limited warranty a year Apple against any material or manufacturing defect, but not against accidental damage or misuse. The apparent defects - which include scratches - are not covered under warranty (AppleCare or +).

    If you make a Genius Bar reservation, Apple may inspect the brand and advise of any available service options:

    They gave me a new Apple Watch for Christmas and I was very happy with it and took great care of her, then in February, I set my watch and noticed some unexplained scratches were appeared on the glass, it's a common problem and how to solve?

    Hi Maxine

    Scratches are the result of contacts any. To help reduce the risk of damage from debris on the screen, keep your watch clean and dry (use an abrasive, lint cloth):

    Cleaning and port Apple Watch - Apple Support

    It is possible that only the fingerprints, oil-resistant coating has been scratched. It is normal that this coating to wear away under normal use, but she has become marked without damaging the surface of the screen under.

    If you have scratched the screen or not, Apple recommends not using products cleaning or polishing or Polish the watch with abrasives; they will wear away the lining and may also (still) scratch the screen.

    If you wish, Apple may inspect the brand and notify you of any services (e.g. out-of-warranty repair) options that may be available. Note, however, that the apparent defects - which include scratches - are not covered by warranty.

    Contact Apple support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation to establish repair service options available, likely costs and deadlines:

    Otherwise, a good quality screen protector (thin film type) can be effective in concealing or reducing the visibility of the brand, as well as to provide some protection against future damage.

  • Apple Watch do not load to turn on

    Hello everyone.

    I just got my new Apple Watch sport this morning in the mail today on amazon. Once I unpacked the watch he immediately alerted saying me: it must be charged. I put it on its charger and hours later his watch still green screw saying his charge but it won't turn on and allow me to install. Once I removed the watch it the Red bolt appears and says I should keep it loads. I tried to turn it on and it restart several times all throughout the day, but it will not stop saying that it needs to be charged. Any advice? Thank you.

    Hello

    As red symbol appears on your watch again after loading the load, you may have a defective cable, an adapter or watch. Before contacting Apple, check that:

    • All the plastic film was removed from both ends and both sides of the cable support (consult closely on the head of the charger).

    • On the back of your watch and the head of the charge cable are clean and dry (clean with a lint cloth and try again).
    • The Chief charge is directly aligned with the back of the watch, with the concave side / curve touch fully (some stands to watch or watch cases are likely to hinder this).
    • You use only the genuine magnetic Apple Charging Cable or a certified Apple module magnetic charge.
    • If you reload your watch by plugging into a power outlet, try using different maps of the following:
      • The real Apple USB Power Adapter that came with the watch, or;
      • A true 5W Apple (iPhone) or 12W (iPad) USB power adapter, or;
      • Power adapter certified by Apple (MFi) third 5W or module of magnetic charge.
    • If loading via USB, make sure you use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, the computer remains turned on and awake, and the cable is plugged directly into the computer (not on, for example, an external keyboard).

    In normal operation, load should take up to 2.5 hours for a full charge.

    Much like the post above, my group of 42 mm Milanese Loop constantly slips to the point that I regularly have to tighten the band and I often have to enter my access code. I am not prepared to remove the password since I use Apple pay on my watch.

  • Autolock and and video playback

    I have a T420s and have installed Autolock. It works very well, and in general, I think this is a great feature.

    However, when you watch videos (for example from youtube or streaming) I am not directly in front of the laptop, and it kicks in and locks. Is there a way to recognize that a video is played and not function then?

    I don't think that there is unless the team implements this feature. To work around the problem, you should disable the auto lock feature when you watch videos.
