Defective charger for 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

Hello. I have a charger broken for my Curve 8520. Tesco my service provider guarantee accessories for six months. They have me contact RIM because they guarantee their place at 12 months. Can someone help me find the right way to communicate with someone, which I find very confusing site. I sent [email protected] and just got an automated response saying to look at the site... arrrr all help graciously received

Hello and welcome to the community!

The person you spoke with your service provider is not correct. RIM not services no guarantee directly... None. All warranty service is provided by providers... that can degenerate into RIM for situations that they cannot solve. You have no free method to ask any online service from the RIM... No. Only through an escalation of your service provider can receive such assistance. Then, go back to them and let them escalate your case until you receive the appropriate response.

Good luck!

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

  • The latest os for curve 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

Hi can anyone tell me what the latest operating system is for curve 8520 I current have os 5.0.0.1036 I don't know if it's the last or I have to upgrade to a new version please help

    Hello!

Unfortunately, the current version and the last for the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is OS 5.0.0.1036 bundle, which is currently installed on your device.

Because the other 7 and OS6 is to rest the device series to date new Smartphone launched by BlackBerry.

So for the USGA improved version, either you change your device or, wait if a new update is launched on the market.

I hope that solves your problem!

If your problem has been resolved then would you be asked to click 'Like' and accept as a 'Solution' that other advisors invest it times on this Message more.

  • Time of Charge along for the blackBerry Smartphones Priv

Bartery takes a lot of time to load takes 7 hours to charge completely of 40 percent on a Qualcomm 2.0 charger may be a % every 5-8 minutes

    Hi @falloutsteel117

If you haven't done so already, please restart the device, and run tests using the charger provided in the box of your quick charge charger 2.0. To identify the charge current, install BlackBerry virtual Expert and open after you have connected your Chargers - can you let me know the results?

  • For the blackBerry Smartphones Reset network settings

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reset the network settings on a Blackberry Curve 8520, I can find on how to do a complete reset but not a network reset. Your would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    RocknRollTim

N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

  • My Blackberry 8520 blackBerry smartphones don't have an email

I have a tesco sim card and my blackberry is a curve 8520. Is there a way I can fix this issue with/without phoning tesco and with or without change of SIM...
    Thank you xox.

Of course, they can't give you an activation of the company, I said that you need to ask them for the BlackBerry BIS data Plan.

Believe me, they know what it is.

Yes, they have it on Pay as you go.

If you or they still don't know what to ask, say Tesco to designate their own website:

  • Trouble updating my new Blackberry Curve 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

I received an email the other day by saying that there is a new update for my Blackberry, so I downloaded the software. I started to update my phone and let it go all day, because it seems to take a lot of time. He froze when the phone tried to connect to the computer. I turned off the screen saver and hibernation on my computer before starting the update. The phone is now stuck to the orange screen that says phone world AT@T . I tried to take out the battery and put it back in and it is still stuck at the same screen. I tried to reinstall the new update on my computer and connect it to the phone. The computer does not connect to the blackberry. What should I do now.

This process will lose all previous data you had on the device.

You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

  • Interested in the Blackberry Curve 8520 blackBerry smartphones.

Hello, I am interested in getting the Curve 8520, and I was looking for some opinions and some issues on the device... As I understand it the device is already an ADVANTAGE enabled, and (being my first smartphone) I was wondering if I have to pay (or having my account credited) when using EDGE to check my emails or surf the web base, and also, I can access my e-mail anywhere with EDGE? In addition, personal opinions would be nice

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

The 8520 is a good device, you must love him and he has the new trackpad.

The device will get the signal EDGE when you have the data Plan BlackBerry added to your mobile service provider account. If you call the carrier and inquire about the BlackBerry data Plan.

  • Email on newly acquired 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

I have just acquired a 8520 and would like to get my emails on this subject.  The problem is that for the moment he wants to get e-mail from a work email account using an enetrprise server, and of course I don't have access to that.  How can I get rid of the connection to a corporate server?  I really want to get just wifi BT using my normal e-mail addresses.

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

    Good luck.

  • Less than 24 hours of charge dead phone blackBerry smartphones

Hi I have a blackberry 9300. Three months despite showing a full charge within minutes to make or receive a call or a text, the phone goes dead. I bought a new battery. Arises again the same thing. I don't have I'm aware of other operating outside of the basic ones on my phone that will run without my knowledge. I disabled the blue tooth as well. Please please can someone help, thank you very much

A battery may fail in different ways and have different symptoms, in function. You see one of them.

I figured it was a knockoff and not an OEM battery.   It is OEM, and you bought from a retailer, I would tend to believe that the battery was ok when you guessed it.

As the battery worked for a while, I tend to doubt that there is a problem with the device.

If it were me, I'd get another battery and change my habits.   Top it off when you can and load when you sleep, see what happens.
