Defined in the RIM API Java

Hello

I wonder if anyone can suggest a good API defined in BlackBerry, please? I only use it to add and get the object. WritableSet help? Thank you very much in advance.

Usually, I use vector and check if it contains the element I am about to add.
requires you to write good equals methods in beans, of course.

  • How to see the public API java code (including police)

    Hello

    Excuse my noobishness, but I recently met {this} message and can't seem to find out how Mantaker (and other participants of the discussion) discovered the java code in the class of the police?

    Am I missing something? Is it possible for any public class?

    Please fill in my blanks of knowledge.

    Thank you.

    If you look at the post just above that you have linked to you will see that they used the javap command.  It's legal and it comes with the JDK.  Either way, you will notice that it does not give the complete code just the headers of the method and fields.

    For example, to get information, they passed the command line and navigate to the directory where your net_rim_api.jar file is.  Then type

    javap net.rim.device.api.ui.Font

    Of course, this assumes that the javap command is in your path.

  • Content Plazmic could communicate with RIM API?

    I had this problem for a long time and not been resolved.  Hope I can get the result here.

    When you use Plazmic composer, we can create image with some actions or events. But will this .pme file to communicate with RIM API?

    for example, I want to show weather picture of today. This image should include the weather icon and the degree.

    Suppose we use a composer to create this image. Because the degree is dynamic and changing. Is that possible for content plazmic degree as a parameter entry and automatically generate the images.

    It's like the RIM API, we create a screen, add this mediaPlayer with .pme file in this form. Then we have a logic to get data weather degree and put in mediaPlayer and leave it to view the .pme file, which will be the image of time with the icon and the degree.

    Content Plazmic is static in Java applications.  He can't interact with the application (fire events) or y at - it APIs to modify the content.

    If you are looking for to use on a web site and to create dynamic content for the BlackBerry browser, it is possible.  You can export your Plazmic composer in SVG content.  It is an XML file that you can then use as the basis for a dynamic page.

    Version 4.6.0 of the BlackBerry API set also has support for SVG display.  So you could create the dynamic content using these methods, however please note that this requires BlackBerry handheld software version 4.6.0 or higher.

    When you have received the keys to the RIM API by e-mail, you should have received three emails, each with a .csi file. You need to install each of the three files.

  • Deliver the SDK API width / space names with the avoid recompiling method

    Hello

    I'm having fun with the Widget SDK Beta 2 which is a great tool.

    I followed the instructions in this tutorial, in order to avoid recompiling my widget after change:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/devbetasoftware/WidgetTutorial_How-to-avoid-recompliling.PDF

    It works perfectly and it's really effective... If I stick to the native functions of JS...

    But now I have a problem when you use the RIM API and the objects in the namespace 'blackberry '.

    Namespace "blackberry" seems to exist because I can find it in an alert box.

    But when I want to access blackberry.system.model for example (as explained in the tutorial), I got an error. Well actually, I get no errors, but the code is not executed.

    Same problem with other objects in the namespace of blackberry (blackberry.pim.Address, blackberry.identity... whatever...)

    When I go back in an alert box, they are undefined.

    Code examples in the config.xml file:

    I use localhost on 8080, but it is not a problem, isn't it?

    Check the examples 6-10 and 6-11 in the vCloud API Programming Guide ("' an Administrative organization network overview").

    Although the 6-11 is abbreviated, 6-10 seems to suggest that the AllocatedIpAddresses element may contain what you are looking for.

    I don't know how the Java SDK surfaces this information.

  • PCM - data import and fields defined by the user - model import or the XML API?

    Hello

    I am currently partially by an implementation of the PCM with my business and have created a few user-defined fields in the application companies. I have data from a form on the internet into a CSV file that I want then to eye-ball before loading of PCM.

    I created a copy of the "export contracts report template ' to include these fields defined by the user, but when I try to re - import the data, the user-defined fields are not populated.

    No one knows if the user-defined fields can be updated in PCM, and if so does to do through the functionality of the XML API?

    Kind regards.

    Published by: 914327 on February 14, 2012 03:39

    The simple answer is that the built-in import utility is designed to import a preset list of fields only and will not import your custom fields even if they are added in the import file, and you will need to use the API to import these fields.

    However, there are unsupported methods to import this data directly to the database, or to add custom fields as options available for import. I can tell you more about these methods on the forum offline if you are interested.

  • Call the JavaScript file java class in the native blackberry development.

    What you are looking for is the ScriptableFunction class.

    You can extend the script engine of a JavaScript object name to a ScriptableFunction Java class mapping.  In this example, if you called foo. JavaScript bar(), the BrowserField would facilitate a call to the invoke() method defined in the MyScriptableFunction() class:

    protected BrowserField _browserField   = null;
    _browserField = new BrowserField();
    _browserField.extendScriptEngine("foo.Bar", new MyScriptableFunction());

    Then you set your ScriptableFunction class like this and fill it with some Java code, you need.  Note: it only accepts strings as input parameters.

    import net.rim.device.api.script.ScriptableFunction;

    /**
     * @description Demonstration of using the ScriptableFunction class added to version 5.0 of the BlackBerry Device

     */
    public class MyScriptableFunction extends ScriptableFunction
    {

        /**
         * User has invoked this ScriptableFunction from the JavaScript engine This example shows how to open the Messages
         * application and create a new message
         */
        public Object invoke(Object obj, Object[] args) throws Exception
        {
            if (args.length == 3)
            {

                String param1 = args[0].toString();
                String param2 = args[1].toString();
                String param3 = args[2].toString();

                //Do something
            }
            return Boolean.TRUE; //Always
        }

    }

    Hope that helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Feature Request: Dialog boxes to password visible to the Windows API

    One of my frustrations with the help of BlackBerry Desktop Manager is asked for my password again and again many times - first to unlock BlackBerry, then to enter mass storage Mode, then to check the updates of the application, and then to load the software for the device, then to synchronize, etc.

    A partial solution for me was to use a utility script (AutoHotKey) on the desktop to automatically answer BBDM password dialog boxes.  But now BBDM version 5.0, these dialog boxes have become java nested forms that are not visible on the Windows API.

    So, if someone of the RIM is listening, please return the actual password dialog boxes Windows forms.  Ideally, different security BB applications would communicate with them so I have to enter my password once, but until that happens, please don't make it more difficult it must be.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Hello and welcome to the Forums!

    With regard to your hope that RIM will see your message - these forums are a chain of support to users, not a conduct of user-to-RIM. Therefore, it is unlikely they will see what you wrote. However, if you have specific and constructive ideas for them, I heard they accept this by e-mail to [email protected].

    Good luck!

    It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post.  As he complains about MigrationBasis.  I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    database

    TO

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    consensus

    And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

  • Using c# to access the REST API - 404 not found

    Hi all!

    Since there is currently no available c# example to access the REST API, I'm going at this from scratch using the Nuget - Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.Client package.

    I was able to successfully implement a framework for code that is able to make a call to the base_uris method and successfully receive a response.

    I'm doing a transientDocuments call, but I still get a 404 not found error.  I'm hoping somewhere here may be able to enlighten.  I tried to use the current examples of Java to call REST API to get help on how to go about things.

    I create an instance of the AdobeDCREST class, and pass the BaseUrl (https://api.echosign.com/api/rest/v5/) and my key to integration.  When I make a call to the PostTransientDocuments method I pass into the path of the pdf file that I am trying to download.  PostTransientDocuments then deals with the creation of an object the HttpContent (StreamContent) of the file, and then adding the headers, ContentType and ContentDisposition.  The call to GetClient() will determine whether base_uris should be called still or not (I make the call to base_uris and storage of the api_access_point in a variable static for all other calls, as well as the java examples) and returns an object of the HttpClient with the access in the header already token.  The call to base_uris works and returns a https://api.na1.echosign.com/ api_access_point

    I then add/api/rest/v5 to the url access_point to call transientDocuments. Failure occurs during the call to PostAsync in transientDocuments with a 404 not found error.

    Here's the code I'm using to test things so far.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've been spinning my wheels on that for too long already.

    I think I found my problem.  I was not a multi-part post form data.  Once I changed this, everything worked as expected.  Here is an updated version of the PostTransientDocuments() method that works:

    public TransientDocument_Response PostTransientDocuments (string strFilePath) {}

    Call transientDocuments

    using (var = {GetClient() customer)}

    using (var content = new MultipartFormDataContent()) {}

    var multiplesContent = new StreamContent (new FileStream (strFilePath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read));

    fileContent.Headers.ContentDisposition = new ContentDispositionHeaderValue("form-data") {}

    Name = "file."

    FileName = 'Template.pdf.

    };

    content. Add (FileContent);

    HttpResponseMessage response = client. PostAsync ("transientDocuments", content). Result;  Call blocking!

    If (answer. IsSuccessStatusCode) {}

    Analyze the response body. Blocking!

    answer back (TransientDocument_Response). Content.ReadAsAsync (typeof (TransientDocument_Respons e)). Result;

    }

    else {}

    throw new Exception (string. Format ("{0} ({1})", (int) response. ") StatusCode, response. ReasonPhrase));

    }

    }

    }

    }
