  My HP probook was working fine until that this morning he died now and just used power upward at all no lights etc. Then I tried another battery, I got and when it is plugged the orange light appears now to say this battery unlike my other one but still no power or anything, keep pressing and holding the power button, but nothing happens? Any help to this or if this is a known defect would be great?

  try a hard reset:

  Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
  Press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
  Plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
  Press the power button

  I am running VMware Fusion on a Mac Book Pro/Snowleopard.  I initially install a 20 GB partition.  Over the past three years, I took 6 shots and I use now 69 GB.  I want to delete some shots, but I want to be sure that I won't spoil all my data on Windows XP.

  Can anyone give me a suggestion on the question of whether I should remove the last snapshot first or start from the first.  I'm guessing this will consolidate back to my original VM.

  I also want to make sure I can get the 40 GB of space.

  Without explaining in detail why, however I have already said the best way to go about it and the route that I am proposing is the best way if or not you free up space on the internal disk and create the new destinationDisk.vmdk on it or on the external hard drive this route and the methodology and the reasons to go this route are infinitely better that you try to free up space to delete all snapshots You seem however you mind going about it you are somewhere else, so by all means, do it you are average.

  If you go about it your way then you will need the first backup of the Virtual Machine, so in the event that a problem occurs when deleting snapshots, which can and is happening, you have a way to recover.  generally speaking with monolithicSparse hard you will release no less then max the hard little more of extra space for aerial work, an addition size a few extra GB should cover.

  In your present circumstances my way is much faster and also safer, then remove it snapshot method because it does not require first backup the source since it will access in a read-only manner and the resultant hard will read the source and write the destination in a single cycle, unlike the snapshot method remove requiring reading and writing for each snapshot.  In addition, the new destinationDisk.vmdk can be made a splitSparse in the same operation that will be better in the future that you are running low on space you need only 2 GB more an extra pocket space for overhead operational to delete snapshots in case they get to immediately as the current situation you are in.

  Thank you for your help. I tried the maintenance of places without success. I have disabled xMarks, but it made no difference, I couldn't save all new bookmarks. I went on the site help above and deleted the "places.sqlite" file and recreates a new file, but it didn't work. I uninstalled Firefox full using IOBit Uninstaller and reinstalled, but I found this program does not delete the profile folder (used to have a checked during uninstall of Firefox, but it seems to have disappeared in the latest versions). The problem persisted.

  Finally, I took a screenshot of all my addons. Then, I uninstalled Firefox again, then delete the entire folder profiles (located very usefully described in the second link above https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file )
  I reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled xMarks and connected and transferred all my favorites, I reinstalled all my previous addons and ALTO - it now everything works perfectly!

  Thank you both of you who tried to help. I just found out that Dropbox keeps deleted files images for 30 days. I just need to go in their undelete function, choose the files that I deleted and restore them. It has been easy.

  Deleted file recovery can recover incomplete files, i.e. the part of these files may be missing.  Recover deleted files is much more reliable if recovery of a backup, instead of using recovery software.

  These things depend on the operating system and the file system.

  One thing, you can see: open one of these files damaged with a text editor, and then make sure that the constant % PDF is somewhere in the first 1024 bytes.
