Deleting app blackBerry Smartphones Video Store Canada

It seems that it cannot be removed and that he will be part of the new operating system. What happens if we only have a playbook of 16 GB and want room for applications that we actually want to use? I took a chance and downloaded to find out what new is available and pricing. Having concluded that others have that it is not worth using my free space for this app, I can't remove it and it doesn't seem to be an email address for RIM indicate that I don't want not included in the operating system take my place, just as the pre-installed music store that I'll never use. If rim wants to add to the os, they should still allow users to delete in order to preserve space for the applications they will actually use.

Someone at - there a way to remove the application, the button delete just rotations.

Thank you

I just updated the operating system to 2.1.0.1088 and tried to delete the app it seems to have worked, although I have not tried to restart get, so studied come back.

I deleted an app World app, but I do not see it in my uninstalled applications and I want to reinstall again. I don't get the option to download either when I go into the application itself. Help please!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Storage in my apps blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

    I recently bought a blackberry curve 9300.

I would like to know that, after the storage (256 MB) in my world (applications) space is filled (1.8 GB) media card storage allows instead?

If Yes, then how can I change the settings to make my memory to the main storage space in 'my applications' card?

If no, then how can I free up space: 256 MB... I have only 5 MB left and uninstalled all applications that I don't use.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

The short answer is no. And the way to free memory is to have as few applications as possible, make sure that you have no applications with memory leaks always close apps correctly and restart (battery pull) from time to time to clean things up.

    The longer answer is here:

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • Problem of global app blackBerry Smartphones blackberry curve 9220

Hi everyone, I just bought a bb curve 9220 and I run across some problems with the installation of the blackberry app world. When I click on the icon of the app world it is said that I need to update the current version of the application to use, so I click on the "upgrade" button and a blank web page opens starts to load, but nothing happens and I'm again on the app world the same read error message.

Does anyone know what would be the problem?

The bb device software doesn't have to be upgraded since it is 7.1.0

Thank you and sorry for my bad English

    Hello!!

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

    See you soon!

    PS...

Maybe Yes, maybe no... There are 4 bytes for each level of the operating system, not only 3:

    • KB23393 How to check the model number and the version of the BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

So there may be a more recent OS for your device, but with only 3 bytes, there is no way to compare. You can, however, see the official download portal for:

  • An other 'Wifi without data plan"blackBerry smartphones Question - Rogers Canada

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and blackberries in general... Please bear with me.

I am a student. Currently, I have a voice plan base on a LG Xenon with Rogers in the Canada. It includes minutes and unlimited texting. Enough for me.

I am looking to buy a Blackberry Curve 3 G/9300 off someone. I just want to throw my SIM in there so I can use my normal plan with the phone. My understanding is that I can phone Rogers and tell them to block all data, if I get no charge on my Bill. Fine. However, I also understand that the 9300 is a wi - fi phone.

Let's say that I get the 9300, contact Rogers and tell them to block all data on my plan.
Can I still use my browser in a Wi - Fi hotspot? How should I do? (I know that I read somewhere that you need to configure to be about to access and not talkspot... If someone could help me with this that would be great).

Also, I read that, so that I am still able to use a wi - fi connection, I need to have data 'on' in the phone. If the data is 'on' in the phone, but I've blocked data with Rogers, can I still use a wi - fi connection? This would prevent the costs of data on my Bill?

In addition, I understand that I will not be able to receive multimedia messages without a data plan. Once again, if I'm in a wi - fi hotspot... Can I receive these messages from photos?

I'm sure it's a question very well known and well hated to you all and I'm really sorry to ask, but I just need some clarification. I don't want to be stuck with a big Bill with I ever intend on paying data charges. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you very much!

In addition, I understand that I will not be able to receive multimedia messages without a data plan. Once again, if I'm in a wi - fi hotspot... Can I receive these messages from photos? No only simple navigation cannot be made and Pandora can be used in mode Wi - Fi.

  • Help with transfer app blackBerry Smartphones. One BB storm to the other

    Hello world

I got a new BB storm and I have a lot of apps. And videos, music and ringtones and pix on my old Storm BB I want to know how I would get what is on my old BB Storm on the new one? I like to take the card memory or something?

    Thank you
    CAndy

No, you use the Desktop Manager > switch device Wizard. It will move everything you need.

To the media card, switch between devices, cards OR copy your files to the PC and then the new, or BB to BB if you have both plugged into the USB port.

  • Problems with AP app blackBerry Smartphones

Hello! When I did my last OS change my AP app started acting weird. I had the rear connection problems, and the keyboard is stuck on the screen without the possibility to hide. I contacted CS who suggested that delete, delete APP world, do a sweater batt and re - install both. Well, I always have the same problem with the application. I love it, so if there is anyway to do the work that would be great! Any suggestions? TIA

Try this with the soft AP...

On your device, go to Options > Advanced > Applications > new AP (or whatever his name is)...

Highlight the name of the application and only select, just highlight this line > Menu > turn off the Compatibility Mode.

See if that solves the problem and let us know?

  • My phone deleted all blackBerry smartphones

I've updated my phone using desktop software manager and usually when I plug it in, it automatically updated... This time he didn't and when I put the phone back on, everything had been erased.

I plugged in the computer and restored some information from a previous backup, but things like my documents to go, games and settings phone language, did not return.

Is it possible to get these back?

  • Deleted email blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry "BOLD"

Is there a way to retrieve an email deleted on BlackBerry Bold 9650?

If you have made a backup of your BlackBerry at the time the deleted message is on your device, Yes.

    Otherwise, no. Deleted is deleted.

If the email was a POP3 account or something like gmail or yahoo mail, you might still have a copy on your server e-mail.

  • BlackBerry smartphone video Call App

A parent showed me how Tango works on his phone.  I want this app, but it is not available for the torch.  Does anyone know of another application?  I like the Tango!

Any phone that supports video calls would have a front and a rear facing camera.  Currently, no BlackBerry phone does include such a feature, so I guess that none will support video calling.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Deleted Google App blackBerry smartphones!

I accidentally deleted the my applications page google app.  How can I fix this?

    Please and thank you!

You can make google mobile your homepage in your browser and save the memory of the device.

Insofar as perform your mail, I don't understand why this might be, but the removal and the addition of the gamil account would still be simple.

  • Looking for a video camera app blackBerry smartphones

Well I think I shouldve done a little more research before making this thread, but maybe with luck, someone will understand what I'm talking about in which I can't do too much work.

Basically, I watched a TV show that allowed a person to keep their cell phones in front of them and spread on another cell phone of people.

I have a blackberry storm, but in order for me to record videos of me, I need to have the target in front of me where I don't even know if I am centered correctly etc.

So, as the title that I wonder if such an application exists for Blackberry where you can hold the phone normally and not put it back, and somehow you can see yourself completely when you save yourself.  A bit like a mirror?

Anyone understand what I'm saying? Where do I go to find this video clip and the link? Laughing out loud

    Thank you

Hello, BlackBerry devices and iPhone devices have only one camera, to the opposite side of the screen. This means that you will have to guess where you point to while you save yourself.

Many devices have two cameras, in particular Nokia N series, allowing people to make the video conference and see what they record.
Some older devices like the BlackBerry Curve 8300 have a tiny spherical mirror allowing you to see your reflection it while you save yourself, but it seems that this mirror handy disappeared into the new generation of devices.

I suggest you to... train to point to itself (it's a stupid opinion, but it really works after a few dozen photos). You can also try to stick a little mirror to the back of your storm. It may be a sheet of money as on a candy bar MARCH envelope.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones video calls between BlackBerry or Voip calls must read more than a year a RIM does nothing about it...! Must be in bb10 correct your mistakes

Well, I'm not a programmer, but those who are not the their: Please answer this... ?

Why isn't their an app that can allow us to make calls voip blackberry for blackberry ok forget voip called something like Skype or facetime where to users of phones like blackberry 9900 or the 9860 can call the other times video I had the blackberry from book reading its pretty useless I never use it no cause of offence I can t Skype video calls my friends family need to have a playbook to call me ridculous if you look @ the samsung or the iphone, they all Skype for if other users don't have the same mobile phone they can even video call each other pc to phone or ipad to pc... etc.

I posted this on your facebook wall and hope that nothing is done about it

Blackberry question, why don't have an application like Viber or Skype where users who have blackberry as 9900 or the 9860 in which the two phones have front camera could Skype call or an application like viber in the blackberry users can call on voip... it is a reall fall in expected an app for blackberry for almost a year rang also edge to do something about IT... most users go for iphone so because of these two applications that maintains the connected in time video reall... enjoy some answer on this...

looking forward to the bb 10 having these sucks simple features of daily use not having them so fustrating I think to spend 529 book just cause the 9900 t can support Skype and the playbook is not just the feel

It is perhaps a question better directed to Skype and not HERE in the forums.  Skype has an application for BlackBerry, but it is only available to U.S. subscribers using Verizon.  (This information can be updated to date, it's updated information I have.)  Given that these forums are composed (not the right choice of words) of volunteers who love BlackBerry phones and not by RIM developers, your chances of getting the answer you are looking for may be thin.

    I hope that helps you.
