Delivery and recovery course

Currently using Captivate 8 and had to delete the quiz on the captivate file because we have seen too many people have problems and questions to jump.  Our quiz has now been built directly within the LMS however I still need the training component in Captivate.

We have a project with about 62 slides include 6 issues of verification of knowledge which are classified with 0 points (quiz questions 1 and 5 drag and drop).  I need to find a way allow students to take the course and have reset to zero knowledge verification questions when they start back at the beginning.

The test is built outside captivate and students are welcomed 3 try to take this test.  They can choose to review the documents using the course.  Currently if students begin the course from the beginning they get stuck on the test if they initially meet the verification of knowledge correctly.

If when they come to the last slide I have a course of recovery button that brings back them to the first slide and the CpQuizAttempts is reset?  Will this work?

Thank you

The only category of system variables that is not read-only is the category of film control.

All quizzes system variables are read-only, including cpQuizInfoAttempts. If you want to restore the default value variable of this type, you must close the course and restart it.

& Sliding is a different beast to normal question slides: when you exit the slide and to come back, he always comes back.

Since you mention question slides if little, why not create custom question slides in order to have total control. A few examples:

  • Manager backup and recovery in Windows 8

    I tried to create recovery disks in the Backup and Recovery Manager.  The software would only make the first disk and then hang up.  All the other empty disks inserted appear as complete. I'm trying to burn DVD + R discs.  The backup application was updated to the latest version.

    Contacted Dell technical support.  Initially, the representative did not know what Backup and Recovery Manager is or did until I showed it to him on a remote connection.  He claims that it is a Microsoft problem, even if it is the Dell software.  Representative said that since Microsoft has no burning software disk in Windows 8, the Recovery Manager will be properly burn discs. (I could do the backup on a USB key).

    Microsoft contacted; they began to laugh because he comes to Dell software, but helped me to look at it any way.  After 2 hours of watching the software does not work, the rep told me to call Dell again.  He said that I need to download and reinstall the software.

    Of course, software release not correctly the player after that burned the first disc and shows then all the following discs as being full.  When the second disc is inserted, it is read as not having not any space and then is ejected.

    I could not complete the backup process by using a recorder external panasonic. So it seems there is nothing wrong with the software and may be a hardware problem.

  • Error 25014 trying to install Lenovo Thinkvantage Rescue and Recovery! Help, please!

    Hello! Recently, I have restored my laptop with a general copy of Windows 7 pro 64-bit. I had to redo all the drivers and software (of course). I had installed Rescue and Recovery before but never used. I tried to reinstall it today and he throws back each time with the same error message (error code 25014 = 6)! I had installed linux but deleted and installed Windows again. I also have a 21 not used same GB partition (I have no idea how to combine). Any advice on how to work will appreciate it! Thanks for your help in advance!

    RC 25014 = 6 error is error install boot RNR Manager.

    Provide information:

    (1) your machine ship of Lenovo, with Lenovo factory system? If Yes, what operating system has been installed? Vista, windows 7 home, pro etc? This would install with 3 partitions: system_drv, Lenovo recovery, (C).

    (2) you say: I recently restored my laptop with a general copy of Windows 7 pro 64-bit

    Not that this means that you do not have a Lenovo factory restore, but actually installed a commercial version of win7 pro?

    I'll assume win7 pro retail for now.

    (3) you say: I had installed Rescue and Recovery before but never used.

    It was in the past, lets say on a shipped factory system Lenovo?

    (4) you declare: had installed linux but deleted and installed Windows again. I also have a not used 21 same GB partition

    ===

    It seems to me, your HARD drive had a top system.  I see Ubuntu mentioned in your other posts. Your HARD drive had several parttions, including the 21 GB partition. Then, you have decided to install a retail version of windows 7 pro.

    During a sale at retail of windows installation, you must pay attention as to where it will install.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

    Note steps 7 and 8.

    It seems that you did the windows installation disk HARD existing, with the pre-existing partitions.

    ===

    RC = 6

    The simple answer is THAT NRR is already installed.  Did you uninstall RNR before installation?

    The answer is complex:

    During the installation of RBR went to add its boot manager entries, BCD (startup control data), he did NOT like the content of the BCD, IE other entries parked in the BCD, ie, Linux. He expects to have 2 slots used in BCD, windows, and windows RE.

    ===

    Reflect this. See if it fits your situation.

    ==

    I would erase the HARD disk via a standalone utility, then install win 7 pro retail and all issues should dissipate.

    This erase/delete can be done during the installation of windows.  refer to steps 7 and 8 above.

    However, could you please explain what do you mean with HARD drive recovery disk?

  • Use 'restore factory of Rescue and Recovery' to upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit windows 7

    I have 6 GB of ram on my Lenovo SL410. It runs win 7 32-bit.
    Windows shows that it is capable of 64-bit.
    Can I use "restore factory Rescue and Recovery" to perform the installation of win 7 64 bit?

    Thank you

    Your recovery DVDs are listed here:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-SL-series-laptops/ThinkPad-SL...

    I guess if your recovery partition factory is win 7, 32 bit, it will restore win 7, 32 bit.

    You can order the win7 64 bit DVD for about $50 US recovery.

  • How to cancel a Rescue and Recovery

    Hi, I have a Lenovo X 61 laptop. My hard drive has been divided into two partitions: operating system and data. Recently, I found that my Windows was no longer able to boot. I managed to install Windows 7 in OS partition. All my files in the second partition has been preserved. My laptop was working fine then. I realized later however that the Lenovo drivers are gone (for example: recognition, which was not necessary, but good to have fingerprints). So by digging the box where my laptop was packed, I found the CD "Rescure and recovery." So I plugged in and restarted, thinking that it will just install the drivers needed in return. But then not only if it deleted Windows 7 that I just reinstalled, but it destroyed the partitions and delete all my data in the second partition. Is there some way I can restore the configuration partition and all data I had? Thanks in advance.

    not at all, rescue and recovery media is for the recovery of the device in default, as it was delivered to the customer. It is impossible to restore this operation in a standard way, if you did, which confirmed the operation in the wizard of R & R.

  • Question of rescue and recovery, and Client Security solution

    I have a thinkpad edge e220s for home use and I am trying to understand that these two thinkvantage tools will be of no use to me since I'm not on a corporate network or whatever it is (all marketing materials HE mentions admins etc.).

    Is the rescue and recovery just a backup solution with imaging of disk (as ghost)? I use a drobo for all my data storage, so I am not too concerned about backups as the drobo offers redundancy in the event of disk failure. The laptop has a SSD which doesn't have a lot of capacity if I don't want unnecessary tools that will have a lot of space. However if the rescue and recovery offers really useful features then I might consider its installation (and not using the backup feature). I could not make out what marketing materials meant by the solution of a single button for viruses and crashes.

    Second, the client security solution features other than Vault/Manager password on my model? I'm already using the beta version of the new (4) version of password manager which is autonomous and requires no client security solution. Again once the marketing material does not help a user at home like me understand very well.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Based on your description I don't think rescue & recovery or Client Security Solution any value for you.

  • Rescue and recovery work do not

    I erased from my hard drive and installed Ubuntu. Now I need Vista to use some software to test for my state bar examination. Rescue and recovery disks as well as keep the f11 system restore gives me an error of starting. Vista is gone for good? Lenovo wants to charge me $45 to send discs that will work. Can get an a .iso for this version (Vista Business SP1 64, I think) somewhere and use my activation key product on the lower part of the PC? • How to reset the password of Lenovo Rescue and Recovery?

    Hi all!

    Here's my problem. Recently I discovered that I forgot my password for Lenovo Rescue and Recovery. I guess when I select the option "Protect your backups with a password", I could change my password for each new backup, whenever I remember my old password or not, but apparently not. So now I could not restore my previous backup and could not make a new one. Y at - it an option to reset the password?

    Thank you and sorry for my English

    Solved. Just uninstall the software, reboot, and install again. Now I can do a backup secure again.

  • Rescue and recovery under 64 bit creates a 32-bit Windows 7, why?

    Hello. I have an x 201 with W7 Pro (64-bit) OEM Lenovo. I replaced the hard so I use Rescue and Recovery to have a clean install of W7 and the X 201 good pilots.

    What I did to run enhanced backup and restore and then via Advanced Rescue and Recovery, I launched the option "create rescue media. I followed the instructions and created a rescue media USB that as far as I understand leaves my X 201 as it was when it left the factory.

    I booted from the USB without problems, restore the system and to my surprise it installed Windows 7 but 32-bit 64-bit not. And no drivers (no video, no network, no USB/PCI). I'm lost here. Why is installed 32-bit when all items generated under Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and what about drivers? Why it has not installed drivers?

    Looking at Enchaced backup and restore in my original installation icon, he says "Lenovo Enchanced backup and restore (32-bit)", so I don't know if that creates only the 32 bit instead of 64-bit OS.

    I'll now factory recovery disc option allows to see if that solved the problem.

    At this point, I thought that icon factory recovery disc was the same as the use of "create rescue media", because the two pretend to leave the hard drive in the same way, it was when the laptop has left the factory.

    If someone could clarify the difference between the two: 'factory recovery disk'vs'create rescue media', and also why the last of them creates a 32-bit OS rather than the 64-bit what it was supposed to create

    I will report how it goes with the task of recovery factory disc that I use now.

    Hello

    Quite interresting situaiton and to be honest not usual.

    However, what should happen, once you have created a rescue media, it's that you should have on the end, a single bootable media, using which you can save, etc.

    However, this support of rescue should not contain any OS, it should be only a boneless bootable media. The operating system and the rest should be on a separate stand.

    In the case where you had the original x 64 Bit OS, then using the recovery CD (as you confirmed as) should have restored the system to the State, as you received it.

    I don't understand, why it needs to change the version of the OS to another, when you initially x64Bit.
    Maybe some background info would be useful.

    See you soon
