    Hello

I have a XPS 13 9350 with a clean install of Windows 10 on Bios 1.2.3.  The touchpad has a couple of questions:

    (1) full of energy when scrolling.  In a Web browser, when using two fingers to scroll down, to release the screen pops up a little - sometimes jumps to the top of the page again.  It's better described is this post, but with no resolution:

    (2) tap to click sometimes stops working.  When this happens if I move a finger on the pad a little and try again, it starts working again.

    3) click done drag provided by himself.  More often than otherwise, if I click and hold the button on the touchpad to move a file, it is free until the button is released.  Its almost impossible to move emails between folders in outlook because of this behavior.

Here are common questions of interest?  I get a faulty hardware?  I run Dell Update utility, but apparently my system is up to date.

    Pointers appreciated!

    Thank you
    Ben

Hi, I had questions specifically chrome scroll when the 9350 XPS13 was released in November. The update of Windows 10 TH2 which sets however. I assume that you have already updated to Windows?

Yours sounds like you have a defective hardware and must be an easy diagnosis to Dell support.

  • Dell - disabled Touchpad laptop. How should I do?

I have a Dell laptop, and now when I start it up, it warns me to that my touchpad has been disabled.

    How can I fix it?

    Russ

    Hi Rawbrush

    Welcome to the Dell Community.

Depending on system, you can perform the following key combinations to activate / disable the touchpad

    1 Fn + F3 or simply F3

    2. some systems have a key on the right side of the F12 key with a drawing of a touchpad and X top that turns the touchpad on and off

    3. remove the battery and the adapter from the system and external devices, then press and hold the power / button to start 30 seconds then release. Then start the system. It works several times

Please return back with your observation.

    I'm happy to help you.

  • Computer Dell laptop Touchpad - how to disable?

I saw the answers anywhere on the web, but none works.  When you click on "mouse" in the Control Panel, there isn't a "touchpad" tab  We have NO function key, we have disabled the driver in "Device Manager" and the touchpad still works.  We have removed the pilot, the touchpad still works.  We have updated Windows... nothing.

Help me!!!  Thank you, Alabama LALAW

Not all laptops have a way to disable the touchpad.  Some, especially older models, don't.
If there is a solution, it will only apply to your model.

I suggest that you visit the User Guide that you can get from Dell.

  • Dell Inspiron Touchpad does not turn off

I've been through everything, and it seems that there is no real help available for this problem.  I bought a Dell Inspiron 5050 in August 2012.  Updated November 7 to Windows 8 and I hated typing since (which is unfortunate, because I'm a student who wrote many papers) because since the installation of Windows 8, the toggle switch that disables the touchpad no longer works.  Not only that, but even without touching the keyboard, the cursor jumps around and I find myself correcting the text at least 1 to 2 times per line (Yes, by writing this, I already had to solve four, making five, errors).

I spent more than 2.5 hours on the line then a tech controlled my computer remotely (I got another problem solved) and he could not understand either.  There IS NO option to disable the touchpad in the Control Panel, or change the settings for sensitivity.  I tried to uninstall the driver, and it did not work.  Currently, I have a big piece of cardboard glued on the touchpad, and which has not helped at all.  I HATE Windows 8 because of this whole fiasco (and I tell everyone I know about the many problems I've had so far).

Maybe this isn't even the problem of Microsoft, but the answers tech with insulting tones kindergarden instructions don't WORK, then please do not give me one.  If you can't tell, I'm more annoyed and I wish that I had NEVER been updated to Windows 8!

If someone gives me a USEFUL answer, I'd be happy and stop to say Facebook, Twitter and everyone I know face-to-face how I HATE Windows 8!

    Thank you!

Search the Trackpad in the start screen and open the settings tab.  Then open the settings file.  Make sure the tapping is checked.  Click it and then click on the gear at the end of the line (you must pass your cursor over the line of tapping to get the equipment).  Make sure the Double tap to toggle the TouchPad is checked.  Click to close this window and OK on the first window.  See if the double tap works now.

  • Satellite P850 - keyboard + Touchpad emits

    Ok

I can't seem to find a way of fixing, whether the cause of the problem.

    Here it is:

I've not had the laptop for this long and already think it's a terrible thing. When I start my laptop there is a 70% chance of the keyboard starting do not (it is until it happens to logon windows) then around 15% of chances does not start the touch pad. If the touchpad does not start then just shut down the computer laptop everything and start over, but there is a chance with the laptop unless I use the screen keyboard on connect then the keyboard will start working again. (about 80% chance) I'm sick of it.

I probably would have written this in the code.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Note: I tried uninstall, reinstall and restore the drivers, even the most recent search.

    Thank you
    EMZ

    What the BIOS update?
Check the version if it the last time.

What about the use of the external USB keyboard? Have you tested it?
    I would recommend this doing.
If you notice that the internal keyboard does not work, connect the external USB keyboard and test if the 2nd keyboard would work.
In case the USB keyboard would work properly, I recommend you to check the internal keyboard for hardware malfunction.

Of course we must also not forget check if its software problem.

  • Disable the touchpad to Inspiron 1764

    Hello

I can't turn off the touchpad on my Dell Inspiron 1764.  I downloaded the latest drivers, but still no luck.  The access key does not work and when I go into the properties of the mouse, the touchpad is not visible - therefore, that I am unable to turn it off that way too.  I have Windows 7 64 bit, and I was wondering if this has something to do with the drivers work does not correctly.  At some point, when I updated the drivers, I got the error message that the pilots did not download correctly and to check for errors and fix them, I didn't click to correct mistakes and move forward.  I hope someone can help me with this!  I am constantly hitting the touchpad and jump around everywhere or completely destroy stuff.
    Thank you!

For the Inspiron 1764, specifically, install the driver Alps Touchpad R275830 of http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=101686&t=0&i=1

Run the driver to install it.

    Reset

After the restart, find the Touchpad icon in your taskbar (at the bottom right by default), and then right-click to bring up the menu.

    Select Touchpad properties

In the Touchpad properties, click the device that you want to select

There is a checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box to the box 'disable the Touchpad/Pointing Stick when the mouse USB's present external

Assuming you have an external USB mouse connected, your touchpad should now be disabled. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, YMMV on other operating systems

Buy a USB hub. They are inexpensive; Amazon has them from $5.99

They transform into a USB port into several, as an extension or a cube

  • Why can't I turn off my touchpad dell? I've tried everything!

It isn't even a touchpad icon in Control Panel to disable this 'thing'!  And in 'mouse', he is not a touchpad to even click on disable.  What can I do?
I was told that I don't have this feature, but I managed to activate the touchpad and turns off when I got to my computer in August.

    Hello

Orders of hardware and software of the TouchPad are dependants ot system OEM manufacturer.
who is also responsible for the proper functioning of Windows.

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

    Low sound volume

My speakers on my Dell Latitude D820 suddenly emit only a low sound. I adjusted all the volume controls in the menu sounds from the Control Panel, and there is no change in volume. It's real power radio on the internet and play music from a CD inserted into my machine. • How do you turn off the coast of the touchpad mouse on an inspiron 1545 Dell laptop?

My touch pad is so sensative, sometimes I touch again and she mobilizes. I VERY rarely use it. I don't want to turn it off completely, I just turn it off. My last laptop is an HP and it had a button to push at the top to turn on and off, but this one isn't. If someone could tell me how turn off when I don't want to use it and turn it back on when I please? Or should I contact Dell and ask them?

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
