Dell E1914h little black line problem

Monitor Dell E1914h I have two problem has first the driver is not installed and showing the error shown in the picture, there are small black line on the right side of the screen, as shown in the last two photos below.  I have the solution to these problems as soon as possible?

Hello

Thanks for joining us.

Let me answer your questions one by one

1. the error message on the driver could be due to the compatibility of the OS, just checked the drivers available, there is no driver for Windows XP I see is the operating system you are running.

You can close the popup and continue to use the PC as I do not expect the instructor to stop working without this driver.

2. the downside seems to be a task or dead pixels. You can try this monitor on another PC or another monitor on this PC to confirm the problem is with the monitor.

The fix for the problem 2 is to replace the monitor. Dell monitors to go with the standard warranty of 3 years. If during the warranty period, we can cover this issue.

Thank you

Dell Inspiron 15 , I bought about 8 months ago. The specs are as under: -.
Intel Core i3 3217U clocked at 1.8 Ghz
    4 GB RAM DDR3
    1 GB Intel HD 4000
    1 GB AMD 7670 M (switchable)
500 GB HARD DRIVE AT 5400 RPM
    Windows 8 Core 64-bit Edition

The laptop was working absolutely fine with no problems until yesterday. Today morning when I turned on the laptop, I noticed a vertical black line on the desktop with an endpoint at the end of the line on my screen. At first I thought it would be a graphic bug which would disappear on reboot, done repeatedly, but no avail. The black line is more noticeable on a light background.

Laptop has not been submitted to harsh handling or stress. What could be the cause of it? Is it a manufacturing fault or something else?

I am attaching 2 photos of the screen from different angles to obtain a correct and complete line. Please tell me how should I proceed from here.

  • Problem with 'small black line at the right margin' with Folio Builder / Viewer to Adobe in the Ipad. ID CC.

    Hello

When I create a Folio Builder and I check my project Id in the Adobe viewer (sometimes in the Ipad app and Desktop Viewer), I can see a black line at the right margin (maybe 4 px). And I can not set my background (it is an object with a color) to use the "full resolution available to the app in the ipad" and Yes, I'm using rules and I see that my object wallpaper is 1024 x 768. I tried several projects and upgraded the project for the "30" version

But I am a new user with the ID/DPS. So, is this a bug reported? Or I'm doing sth wrong?

And for me, the most important issue, will fix this when I send my project to the applestore and DPS transform my Folio to the store? Or what I see now that's what I'm going to see?

    Thank you!

Sorry! I found an answer here in the discussion:

So the problem will be solved in the final application, and it's just the scrolling in the Viewer.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Printer leaves black lines during copy and scan from ADF

I know this question has been asked several times, but whenever I try to copy or scan from the automatic document feeder, it leaves black lines on the copy (with the document on the works of glass like a charm).  I've read through the forums and have tried the advice to unplug the machine and so on, but none of these suggestions work.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey @Huskers1,

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

I see that you have some problems with a line when copying from the document on your Officejet 8600 Premium feeder e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Get a little water and a lint cloth.
    2. Open the left upper part of the printer, where the document since the charger goes into the printer. It should open up as you opened a book.
    3. With your damp cloth wipe the rubber stamp, the rollers in the cover and the casters on the bottom of this section.
    4. Again open the left side of the printer, as you opened a book.
    5. With your damp cloth, wipe the rollers, you will find inside this section.
    6. Close the upper sections of the printer and open the flat section.
    7. With your damp cloth wipe the rollers and the white bar you see on top of the printer
    8. Clean the glass on the left side of the printer.

Once all the pieces you cleaned dry, please let me know the results. If you remove the line, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • thin horizontal black line down page what scan on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

I've owned an HP Officejet Pro 8500 and scan was perfect.  I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

When I scan from the ADF HP 8600, I get a thin (several pixel wide) black along the lower edge of the analysis that results.  This line will be sometimes slightly twisted or appear only through half of the page, in which case, it tends to become thicker towards the edge of the page).  According to me, this line is an artifact of the analysis of the edge at the bottom of the original document.  I think it is to show where the bottom edge of the page was when parsing.  If the document is that a little offset, then the black line down will be a little twisted, probably following the edge of the page.  This issue is consistent and reproducible.  It is in the mode "Scan mail" and in mode 'Scan To Network Folder.

When I scan from the flat bed, I get a very narrow black line along the side of the analysis resulting very superior, but the background seems in good condition (although I have not tested this widely).

These fine black lines occurred when scanning the HP 8500.

I wonder if there is a setting to adjust it, or if it is a firmware difference between printers needs debugging.

    Hey KenAlker,

There are a few things I want to check if you have lines when scanning using the 8600. I see that mention you that lines appear both through ADF and flat glass. There may be something both of the glass sections used by this printer, but more often that otherwise, this isn't the case.

I would check if the printer is connected to a surge protector. If this is the case, then try plugging the 8600 in a direct outlet. Often the surge protector can cause this problem appears because the printer has a built.

    Also, try a hard reset:
    * Unplug the unit while the
Disconnect the other end of the wall socket direct
    * Wait 30-60 seconds
    * Plug the unit to the top

Also, try to take a look at the steps in the document found here.

    I hope this helps.

  • Black lines on the right side of the printed document Hp 8600 N911g

I have problems with my HP 8600N911g.  I have several vertical black lines on the printed page of right hand margin.  This only happens when I copy or scan. Printing from my pc is fine.  I did all the cleaning, cutting for over an hour and reset to factory default.  NOTHING WORKS.  Help, please.  I love the printer hp but tire of their problems, which are few, but when they occur, they are doozies.

    I am on Windows 7

    Hi peggymay.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with black lines on your scans or copies.  I had this problem myself on my 8600 very clean and I was able to get it to be resolved. The question arises in fact from two locations and with a little luck, we can get this problem solved for you. First thing to look at is under the hood of the scanner. Lift the cover on the left of the large scanner glass and scanner, you will see a small strip of glass. Take a glass clear cleaner and a lint cloth and clean the small glass placed as well as the large glass. On the underside of the lid, you will see a white plastic strip. Please clean it as well. IF you have already done these steps please proceed to the next step.

The printer power cable must be connected to a wall outlet and NOT a power strip/Bar. HP printers have built in surge protector and if you have it plugged into a strip/Bar, the printer will NOT get all the power needed for the proper functioning and it will cause problems with scans or copies, and it might even generate false error messages on the printer screen.

Please try these steps and if they work, fantastic. But if they are not, please do not hesitate to write me again.

I thank very you much for your time.  Always happy to help.

  • Image with my .iagonal 6 d line problems.

Hello, my name is Lindy and I'm new to this forum. I had a problem with my Canon 6 d which translates some of my images appear with a diagonal black line in the upper left corner. I have seen this problem with my L 100mm lens and my 16-35mm lens. If anyone has had this problem before or have any idea what can be wrong?

    Thank you!!

Hi Lindy.  You have a little 'dust' on your sensor (only in this case, it looks like a little hair).

    It is easily fixed.

See page 279 of your manual owner who describges how to clean the sensor.

I do, however, is recommended that before making an automatic cleaning cycle, you remove the lens and point it at the ground - it's that this bit of hair has a place to go when she falls... other than to find another location inside your camera.

After cleaning, punch the camera a plain white wall (or ceiling) and take a photo (it doesn't even have to be developed).  Dust looks better to the high apertures (it'll be more blurry at the bottom diaphragms).

Sometimes automatic cleaning is not sufficient and you need to do something more.  If this is the case, then see page 283 for "manual sensor cleaning.  This simply causes the camera to turn off the sensor, but open the shutter (and keep open) so that you can inspect and clean.  If you look inside, what you REALLY see are the two filters in front of the sensor.  The before filter is one that vibrates (using a piezoelectric effect) to "shake up" loose dust.

I use a variety of techniques... the easiest and safest is to use a fan simple hand - squeeze (bulb) as a Giottos Rocket Blower.  I recommend that you use no compressed air cans, because the liquid propellant in the boxes can spray if the can is shaken or not held perfectly level and that leaves a residue on the filter (and the only way that come out is to wet - clean the filter).  Even air compressors spray water and oil.  A hand blower pressed is the safest option.

If this does not work, I use a small, extremely soft brush.  They do actually brushes that plug in to release static electricity so that if something is stuck because of the electrostatic control will be released if all goes well.

If this does not work, I use a range of sensor to inspect my sensor and get a better understanding of why he won't not always free (because usually there now) and wet then clean the sensor using photographic Solutions sensor swabs 'brand' and 'Eclipse', cleaning solution.  The solution is almost pure methenol which means it evaporates quickly and leaves no residue.

My guess is a simple manual cleaning (with the camera pointed at the ground) - or - a hand blower pressed will probably do the trick.  If you use a brush, give this brush some good solid shots on the edge of a counter or table to shake the dust that could be on the brush - because you do not want to add to dust on the sensor you're trying to blow that hair.

More 'real' camera records (company mainly to sell stores and material service photo - not large areas that are also sell cameras) offers sensor cleaning, but there is usually a charge related to that.  It is pretty easy to learn how to clean the sensor (which is why Canon has a section in the owner's manual) and it is something photographers have to do... only occasionally.

I printed a large amount of documents and all the some would get a straight line about 5 black lines down on the side of the paper and a little at the top of the next page. It is really weird and didn't print like this on the already printed pages earlier today. Any suggestions?

Each page that print includes a greyish black line.  How can I eliminate this line?

    Hi BlueEyedPea,

Your printer would require an intervention... If you get the patches even a photocopy of his problem with the printer... You can try to clean the cartridge of the printer and see if it solves your problem else, you need to get in touch with your retailer of printer...

Remove the cartridge and try clean and then align.

Check out: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/prn942/en/om/942_om_en.pdf on how to align the cartridge.

    I hope this helps.

Whenever I turn on my computer for a week, I try and put my password and after the first or the second key it stalls. He again entered my password, but I don't see whether registration in the password box. I also have a little black box that is slightly smaller than the size of a post-it note in the top left area of my screen for half a second, then it disappears and continues to my home screen and office as usual.

I had this problem for about a week, and I can't understand what is the problem. I googled some things, but no one had the right answer. Someone said it was a startup with a defective software program, but I checked and I have the same 4 startup programs I've had there for a year. (DELL Wiireless WLAN Card, IDT PC Audio, Synaptics Pointing Device Driver and NVIDIA Compatible Windows 7 display driver) Everything is up-to-date and I already have Windows Update.

  • Separating the sections of the table with black lines

I am trying to add black lines to separate groups of cells in a table. I am using CSS, but know little things about it.

    The table is here: form

    And that's what I do: form.jpg

Does anyone know how to go about it? I tried to add border-bottom-color in the CSS panel, but it applies the line to the top of the "total" fields

  • IPod nano 7 icon appears in iTunes, with Windows 8 or IP on both computers. Two nano 5s work perfectly. Short black lines appeared on the screen iPod

NO icon of nano 7 will appear on iTunes despite trying 2 computers, Ip and win 8. Also tried two nano 5s and several cables and ports. Also, some black lines on the screen.

What is "Intellectual property"?  Did you mean to type XP?  There is no iPod nano "5s". are these 5th gen iPod nanos?  Why do we say "iPod nano (6th generation)" in your profile in?  It's the iPod nano with the gen 7 problem?

If the 7th gen iPod nano is new (model 2015), it does not work with a version of iTunes that runs on Windows XP.  It should work with the current latest version of iTunes on the computer of Windows 8, however.

  • Satellite L500 - 20 X black screen problem

    Hello!

I have problems with my laptop. My screen was casuing problems for awhile. I had black lines and white and grounds all over the screen and always had to change the angle of the screen. Once, I opened the laptop and magically, the situation has changed for the better without me doing much. He stayed like that for about a year.

Well, recently, it got worse again and one day my screen stayed black when I tried to boot up the laptop. I tried an external monitor using the windows + P and Fn + F5 key, but none worked. Then I tried closing the laptop right after pressing the power button. It worked. I got a clear image on the external monitor. Then, I opened my laptop and - as if by magic for me - had a picture on the internal display, too. It worked until - after several hours - I had to restart the laptop. Now I'm back with the same question that I had before, and even the once-successful tactics seems to no longer work.

Long story short: I thought, I might as well try a power cycle hard (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFehLaJP6fQ) before you open Notepad again. And anyway, I don't know if opening it will do me any good.

    My questions are:

    (1) is that someone has an idea what might be going on here?

    (2) a hard power cycle will leave my data intact hard disk? It is not the same as a factory reset, is it? (In fact it is much more data, then the laptop. I would rather sacrifice laptop data.)

    Thanks in advance!

So, can someone at least tell me, if my data is safe, if I do a hard power cycle?
