Dell inspiron 1764 radeon hd4330 or i5 igpu

Hello, I have a dell inspiron 1764 with this model of motherboard

The integrated motherboard gpu is a radeon hd4330.

The processor is an i5 - 520 m which has an integrated gpu.

If I upgrade my memory to 8 GB memory ddr3, integrated processor graphics would be much better than the hd 4330.

My question is: is it possible to use the integrated graphics card of the processor instead of the graphics card built-in to the motherboard?

Thanks for your reply.

The answer is no – it is not possible.

  • New Dell Inspiron 1764: Problems with signal low connection to wireless networks.

I have a new laptop Dell Inspiron 1764 I received on 25 June. It is "replace" a Dell Inspiron 9100, who has learned to be too slow and too bulky for my needs. For the purposes of support, the two laptops are running on Windows 7.

Overall, I love my new Inspiron 1764. However, I noticed the connection/signal strength seriously degraded, with wireless (Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini card) card, compared to my Inspiron 9100 (Dell Wireless 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI card).

In areas of my home that my 9100 can obtain the power of the complete signal (5 bars), my new 1764 bars 2 or less. This behavior is not as limited to only my house as I have tested in my work and in an area of less than 10 feet away from the wireless router, I have 'Internet connectivity problems.

I tried twice this morning talk with Dell technical support. The first person I talked to tried to be helpful and initiated at least a DellConnect session with me so that he can check out some of my settings and such (However, why they went twice in my sharing settings I could not determine as they have absolutely nothing to do with the intensity of the signal).

Unfortunately, I was disconnected from the session when I went to a place that had less signal than just next to my wireless router.

I then go on the chat support with Dell and received another technician to speak with. I explained my problem, told them that I was in a DellConnect session with the other technician, and they looked to the top of my support contract.

They then told me that my warranty does not cover software issues and referred me to the software Department and said it would be a supplement. I told them that I did not believe that it is a problem of software in any way, shape, or form. They told me that it must be a matter of adjustment. I spent several hours scouring the internet forums on Dell and other sites check those who have had similar problems. Some of their questions were certainly the software settings, but I still don't yet to find anything that tells me I have an incorrect setting of software.

So far, I'm standing in my kitchen, tapping on my Inspiron 9100 with a full 5 bars, while my Inspiron 1764 is sitting next to me with a skinny 2 bars, and I am literally standing 7 feet above the room which houses my Linksys WRTU54G-TM router.

Personally, I suspect a faulty wireless card, but how to convince Dell to hear my case and replace it instead of trying to bilk me for support of useless software?

I hope Dell Tech Support bed actually this post, or people with the same problem can Dell refer to my previous post describing the problem and the fix.

It IS a PROBLEM of MATERIAL WITH the ANTENNA, AND VERY PROBABLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN a DECK CONNECTION at the ANTENNA of the PLATE, from connections TAPE FOIL INDIVIDUAL at the ANTENNA of the PLATE, THAT DELL MUST HAVE RESPONSE BETWEEN WHAT MINE PORTABLE has BEEN CARRIED OUT AND THE SPARE ROOM WAS MADE. THE PROBLEM IS NOT SOFTWARE, PROVIDER OR ROUTER, IT IS THE PLASTIC WITH THE ANTENNA CASE!

Dell is in fact losing more money with the hours of technical support through software patches and sending technicians with new wireless cards that does not solve the problem. They need to send and replace the plastic case behind the LCD screen with the updating of antenna and connections.

    Good luck!

  • Disable the touchpad to Inspiron 1764

    Hello

I can't turn off the touchpad on my Dell Inspiron 1764.  I downloaded the latest drivers, but still no luck.  The access key does not work and when I go into the properties of the mouse, the touchpad is not visible - therefore, that I am unable to turn it off that way too.  I have Windows 7 64 bit, and I was wondering if this has something to do with the drivers work does not correctly.  At some point, when I updated the drivers, I got the error message that the pilots did not download correctly and to check for errors and fix them, I didn't click to correct mistakes and move forward.  I hope someone can help me with this!  I am constantly hitting the touchpad and jump around everywhere or completely destroy stuff.
    Thank you!

For the Inspiron 1764, specifically, install the driver Alps Touchpad R275830 of http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=101686&t=0&i=1

Run the driver to install it.

    Reset

After the restart, find the Touchpad icon in your taskbar (at the bottom right by default), and then right-click to bring up the menu.

    Select Touchpad properties

In the Touchpad properties, click the device that you want to select

There is a checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box to the box 'disable the Touchpad/Pointing Stick when the mouse USB's present external

Assuming you have an external USB mouse connected, your touchpad should now be disabled. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, YMMV on other operating systems

  • Driver for 2 GB AMD Radeon HD M 8730 does not work. Dell Inspiron 3521

my laptop is brand new. 1 week and I cannot get my Radeon 8730 M graphic card work. laptop model is Dell Inspiron 3521.   I tried to install the original driver from the dell support page. I tried with the pilots of the AMDs website. I have installed and uninstalled the drivers at least 10 times.   When I run the catalist of amd installation configuration shows that all the drivers and the software is correctly installed and up-to-date, but Device Manager shows something else.  also, I have absolutely no option available in the catalyst software.  my windows system note (index) is 1.0 due to the graphic performance.   any ideas?

    return with good news.

I formatted the partition on the witch my windows was installed. re-installed windows and all the drivers. I started with the AMD driver but I was disappointed. It still did not work. then I thought, maybe there some co-drivers with some chipset drivers, so I downloaded and installed all the drivers. including the Intel HD 4000 driver. I think it was one that has not been installed correctly and the Radeon card because of the witch did not work.   so if anyone else has this problem, don't forget to uninstall the driver amd and intel driver hd 4000 and then install again, it should solve the problem.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Dell Inspiron 660 AMD Radeon HD 7800 series BSOD

Recently, I have put my Dell Inspiron 660 with a new graphics card, an AMD Radeon HD 7800. At the same time, I improved the power source to a Corsair Builder Series CXM modular 80 PLUS Bronze certified ATX/EPS power supply 500W.

I installed the card, update drivers and disabled the integrated graphics card. I tried to disable the onboard graphics via BIOS but there is no option to disable it in the BIOS, the AMD Radeon also is not running in the BIOS. If I uninstall the onboard graphics, the computer just re - installs on reboot.

The card works for everyday tasks, but whenever I try to launch a game, it works fine without any problems for a few minutes and then crash with a BSOD. Then, the computer restarts and is as usual.

The Inspiron 660 comes with the processor intel core i3-2130, 4 GB Ram and a 64-bit operating system.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Then, you need to get a more expensive food.

  • Dell Inspiron Radeon M260 not M265

    Hello

    I took delivery of a 5000 Dell Inspiron 15 laptop I7 today.

It was announced as having an AMD Radeon M265 2 GB graphics card. However, in Center of catalyst and Device Manager it appears as any M260. From what I have read on various forums and reference sites it resembles the M265 is about 10-20% better performance wise. Is anyone able to confirm whether the M265 is indeed superior (as its name suggests).

I sent Dell support to ask why he comes with the M260 and what the difference is.

    Thank you

dude I also bought this laptop and am facing the same problem! the map shows as r7 m260 instead of r7 m265... I was so bloody pissed on shop exclusive dell they actually replace my laptop... the new laptop showed m265 r7... but later when I updated his driver to the amd Web site... She appeared as r7 m260... once again... the problem is with the pilot stock {13.x} map shows m265 but as we update the latest driver 14.3 to 14.5 it shows like m260... the thing is that our laptop has r7 m265 but amd installation does not recognize as m265 @ maybe because this card specifications change based on performance... Check power gpu tech after u play some intensive games... It shows width of bus bandwidth 14 Gbps per day instead of this 32-bit and 64-bit and 7gbps.

  • Performance video card in Dell inspiron 3521 (i5 1.7 ghz, radeon hd 7650 m 1 GB, 6 GB ram, win 7)

Hello guys. The configuration of my laptop is (1.7 ghz, radeon hd 7650 m i5 / intel graphics hd, 6 GB ram, win 7)

My previous laptop was a Dell Inspiron 1520 with processor T7500 (gz 2 or 2.2, not sure, Nvidia GeForce 8800 m (256 MB) video card and 4 GB of ram, win xp)

IM game called World of warcraft on my new laptop but I have question about FPS (framerate).

Maximum FPS I can get is about 80, but is not stable, I mean FPS jump from 30 to 80 on low graphics. I rememmber, when I played Wow on my laptop previous, I had stable FPS of 60-80. Why? Radeon hd 7650 is more than 2 times better videocard for 8800 m from Nvidia.

I try to use gamebooster (program to increase the performance of the game), but nothing helped. NVIDIA had beautiful Control Panel, where I can change all the settings to increase video card performance, but what a radeon? I installed the video card of the site drivers of official Dell but there like 4 options.

Can someone explain to me. I sold my previous laptop, something that I'm going to get more powerful laptop, but now I feel like a fool.

    Hi Minioriginal,

Please provide us with this information. All graphics applications of broad must be configured on high performance so that they use the video card ATI and Intel not one.

Please select high performance and then launch the game and let us know the results of the same.

  • Dell inspiron 3521 (i5), how to configure Radeon video card laptop use as main graphics card?

    Hello guys.

IM using Dell inspiron 3521 (version i5 to 1.7 ghz, Radeon HD 7670 M / Intel HD Graphics 4000, 6 GB of ram)

I don't want to use the Intel HD video card at all, because the quality of the texture is so low. I would like to know, how to set up the main video card?

    Its possible?

    Thank you

The 'main' video chip is the Intel one - it's the only one who has a connection to your display board.  The AMD GPU is a co-processor - it can be used (chosen from the AMD Catalyst Control Panel) for the applications you want to use it.

It CAN be made the default GPU - GPU from Intel's wired for this role.  By design, all of the video data through the Intel GPU (which is part of the central unit of system processing).

  • What video card do I need on a Dell Inspiron 1545 playing Fallout 3?

I have a problem when I try to play Fallout 3 on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. I tested my computer with the System Requirements Lab and he told me that I need an upgrade. I have a Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.  He said that the Minimum that I need for my computer is Direct X 9.0 c compatible video card with 256 MB RAM (NVIDIA 6800 or better/ATI X 850 or better).  I looked this up, but I can only find ones for desktop computers. Do you know what I should get the video card and what one is for my computer?

    Shawn

Generally, you may not get a new video card for your laptop, but if you can contact so that they can install it for you, unless you know how to install mobile video cards yourself.

I looked towards the top of your machine and it looks like you have the possibility to have a 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 for your machine. That would probably be it. I don't know what type of processor you have, but this card should work for you. Integrated Intel cards are not good for games at all.

    Good luck.

  • Dell Inspiron M5030 black screen when installing Windows 8.1 on 'Get Ready devices.

    Dell Inspiron M5030

I had Windows 7 installed and works perfectly, but I wanted to install Windows 8.1, I tried a new install first (also tried to upgrade to windows 7). Everything installs fine but when it restarts for the first time the windows logo appears and 'Getting devices % ready' then the screen goes black.

    Ive tried:
-For let sits for awhile to see if it comes back, and I get nothing after hours
-J' plugged a monitor without response (also tried to close the cover put to sleep and go to bed)
-J' quit and tried to start in Safe Mode, but it says that Windows cannot boot mode safe because windows setup has not finished

I can start on my windows repair and go to the recovery prompt but don't know what to do. It looks like a video driver issue, the laptop has an AMD Radeon HD 4200. If thers any why to install the driver before implementation ready devices? Help, please!

I had the same problem and did this and it worked without problems... The idea is to integrate the drivers updated in the ISO/DVD. The drivers supplied with the W8.1 DVD do not work as well as I was getting the BSOD with the installation.

    1. download Winreducer and install all the 3rd party software that it requires.  Look in the howto.pdf

    2. download the latest AMD Catalyst drivers from AMD website (not beta).  Drivers Windows 8, I think that the list.

    3. extract the files to temp dir.

4 copy files and drivers since the temp (packages\drivers\display\w86a_inf) directory and the sub (B149756) to the dir dir drivers winreducer (work\integrate\drivers\x64).  In the x 64 dir, you should have cats, msi, INF and the b149756 files.

    5. run winreducer.  Make sure you have practice an iso to DVD Windows 8.1.

    6. Once you mount your iso, you will spend for options and features screen.  You can see the presets, appearance, features... on top.   Let alone all the options EXCEPT the location of the drivers under System.  Change this to x\WORK\INTEGRATE\DRIVERS\x64.  Don't forget to change the x to your location.

    7. click on finish.  Save as an iso. Apply.  It will save the iso changed in the winreducer folder.

    8 burn and install.

    9. After you are done installing, install the driver package that you downloaded in step 2 by running setup.exe in the main dir.

    10 thank me LOL

It worked for me on an Inspiron M5030.  I hope that my answer is detailed enough.

  • Black screen after Windows Update 8.1 in Dell Inspiron 15R 5537

    Hi guys,.

Hello, I have updated my Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 5537 Windows 8 Pro to Windows Pro 8.1 by using the Application Store.

After a wait of nearly 6 hours, update has been made and after the installation of Windows, display was black, cursor blinking... I checked in the Microsoft Web site, and I found that not only me and a lot of Dell customers are facing the same question. I luckily managed to start in safe mode and I uninstalled both of my video drivers and I'm back to my windows 8.1. After that I updated my video drivers as shown in the link below, always my screen turns off. If I had no other choice than the reset my pc to windows 8 pro.

    Driver video link: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-15r-5537?driverId=PWTRP&osCode=W864&fileId=3287401962&languageCode=en&categoryId=VI

When I was checking for the latest version of the driver for Intel Graphics & AMD Radeon that supports windows 8.1, I am able to find a driver on the dell Web site.

http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/SG/en/sgdhs1/DriverDetails/product/Inspiron-17R-5737?driverId=6GGGM why it is not being updated in the list of corresponding product drivers... In fact I think that it is the fix. I'm not sure.

If one has updated and I need technical support dell for this

    Hi guys,.

After much research, I understand that is the problem because of the Intel video driver. There is a beta Intel video driver package that supports Windows 8.1. Try this update package and display your results. As I've already restored to windows 8. It will take at least 4 to 6 hours to update me the State. The link below is for Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 model.

http://FTP.Dell.com/published/pages/Inspiron-15R-5537.html and install Intel HD Graphics Driver ver 10.18.10.3308 4400. You must follow the link because this driver is not yet downloaded in Dell drivers & downloads (referred in Dell Post)

  • Update graphics card on Dell Inspiron 580 MT

    Hello

I watch first through similar threads on this site, but I found the newest one was more than a year, so I decided to create a new post

We have a 6 years, Dell Inspiron 580 Mt. just only because of his age, I'm about to put in a new hard drive, & when doing this, I thought to upgrade or replace the dedicated graphics card.

At the present time, there is a NVIDIA GeForce G310 512 MB card in there. The computer is used mainly for businesses, so not forced to play on it. The card manages two monitors, two Dell 2007FP with a resolution of 1600 x 1200. For the moment, we're on DVI, one on VGA, but I would like to make two DVI to 'Future Proof' if we replace with a higher resolution larger screens and more.

What would be a reasonable upgrade graphics card? I would like to find one that would not require an upgrade of the power supply as well.

Processor is an Intel Core i3 Processor 530(2,93GHz,4MB)

8 GB of RAM on board

    Suggestions that much appreciated :-)

    Hi traveler Quentin

Here are a few other graphics cards that are compatible with your system.

    nVidia GT220 1 GB

    nVidia 1 GB M207

AMD Radeon HD 5670 1 GB

    AMD Radeon HD 5450, 1 G

You can search the specifications of the ports on the vendor's site, before you decide on one.

The machine with only 300w PSU, so don't worry about changing the PSU.
