Dell Inspiron 3147 11.6 "- touchscreen"in part"does not work after the pilot light"

Every time when the laptop goes to sleep mode in itself and I put on, the touch screen will be in part does not, to be more precise, is the upper part of the screen. The problem is that on the screen, mouse and touchpad work correctly. Now I can solve the problem by pressing the power button to let him sleep and a second time to activate it, but I don't want to do it every day.

Anyone has the answer to this? Please, I beg you! I just got a few days ago!

Thank you.

Hey, guys, I had the touchscreen partially responsible (upper right part) + 100% of the CPU. What I ended up doing, it was a clean install of Windows 10 and do NOT install Dell Quickset. I repeat, DO NOT install of Quickset. Hardware works fine without it and I stopped to get 100% of the CPU after idle and touch screen works normally. The only downside is that I get an unrecognized component (ACPI\SMO8810\1), which I think has to do with the keyboard locking in tablet mode. This isn't the complete solution of 100%, but I feel that the Dell power plan is not coded correctly. For any question, you guys might have, let me know!

  • Reference Dell OMSA - does not work after the installation of KB3161608

I recently installed the last batch (June 2016) the MS updates on our servers.  It went well with the exception of two servers, both running Server 2008R2 and a PE2970, a PE2950.  These are our only two servers running server 2008R2.  On both machines, after installing all the updates, I was unable to open OMSA.  The browser will display "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".  OMSA continued to work properly on the rest of our servers, which are almost server 2008.

I tried another browser, but that has not worked.  OMSA reached 7.3, so I downloaded and installed 7.4.0 and the 7.4.0.2 updated.  I found references to similar online, and some of the install OMSA fixes problems using the prompt, or "runas admin".  I installed them all over the place, but no matter how I installed it, I got the same result!

I've not found errors in the event logs of the server.

So I started uninstalling updates until I found the one who broke it, and it was KB3161608.  Uninstall this update fixed OMSA on both servers.

This updates is listed as optional, so I'm not sweating it for now.  I believe that this is a certificate problem and could be fixed by creating a new self-signed server certificate, but this isn't really my area of expertise.  But I wanted to put this out there in case it might help someone else.

In my tests, you should communicate the updates installed then OMSA will not work.

  • His Dell Inspiron 1420, microphone and camera integrated into the laptop does not work after installing Windows 7 Professional

No sound from my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the microphone and built-in laptop camera do not work after installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My laptop has Windows 7 Vista 32 - bit family premium. My laptop is 64-bit capable and after going through the Upgrade Advisor, I installed Windows 7 64-bit. I can hear sounds when I use a headset plugged into the line-in Jack, but not through the speakers built into the laptop. I already tried new drivers from the Dell website, but I could not find.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

  • Bluetooth doesn't work does not correctly after the installation of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 (SP2) on Dell laptop

I searched this forum and almost all resources on the net for days now nothing works.  Give the message to a thread more appropriate that I couldn't find one that is truly representative and am a newb at this.

Summary of the problem: Bluetooth connectivity does not work properly after the window Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 installation (SP 1 and 2).

    My system:

Laptop Dell Inspiron E1705, 32-bit Winows Vista Home Premium SP2, Dell Wireless Bluetooth 355 Module + EDR 2.0

    * My system was purchased in 2006 with Windows XP, but was not entitled to a free Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade I did. I installed Windows Service Pack 1 and 2 about a week ago.

Problem: After downloading and installing the Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 (SP 1 and 2), my system does not recognize my Bluetooth (a touch of Sprint also) device known as the HTC Vogue.  I stress that I have not had any problems with this device before downloads.  I can't revert to the pre - SP State 1 and 2 because my system restore does not have these points more.

I have read several posts on various sites about people having similar problems with Bluetooth connectivity after the Vista SP 1 and 2 facilities.  The problem is obviously the need for an updated driver.  I went to the site to download driver Dell and the Blueooth only updates available are the following. (Note: these drivers all date from 2006 and 2007).

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=RC956904&l=en&s=pub&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_9400&os=WLH&osl=en&servicetag=&catid=-1&impid=-1&deviceid=12084&libid=5&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&releaseid=R159805&formatcnt=1&vercnt=1

I had these installed before the SP 1 and 2 have been installed and they worked very well. After the upgrade, these drivers do not work.  They won't recognise BT devices.  I tried to upgrade the drivers by using update Broadcom suggested below it, but an error of following installation to contact Dell.

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/Bluetooth/update.php

I contacted Dell via e-mail and on the phone, but they want to charge me $60 for a one time service call just to talk about the problem because my warranty has expired. Provide updated drivers is not a problem of security in my opinion.  Even after explaining the situation, their continuous support to just send me the link to download Driver Dell above with out-of-date drivers.  I guess that's what they are charged to do, they do not have to admit a problem of compatibility.  This obviously the same link they would charge $60 to send.  I explained that I need just a Bluetooth Driver from Dell to at least version 6.3.   Needless to say, I will never buy another Dell product.

On my end, I tried to uninstall my current drivers and then by installing a newer driver to support Gateway (Version 6.2.1.500 for and Acer).  This allows me to install some parts of this update and the update Broadcom. However, it is not a perfect installation and expires after about 90% saying "this update is not for this system" because it is the gateway not Dell to be provided.  Displays the version of the driver on my computer is Version 6.3.5.430 after doing this, but it is not a complete installation and some features are not available.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? I would like to have a link with some bluetooth drivers generic Version 6.3 type which will allow me to use the Broadcom link to upgrade to the last version that works with Vista SP 1 and 2.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Inspiron 1464 bluetooth does not work after upgrade to windows 8

After windows upgrade 8 I couldn't find the bluetooth and the driver for windows 7 does not work... pls help

    Hi Deepak,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft community!
I understand your concern and know it must be very frustrating. I will guide you on this.

I suggest you to download and install the latest drivers for chipset/Bluetooth from the manufacturer's website. If there is no windows drivers 8, then install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode and check.

Follow the steps to run in compatibility mode:

    Method 1:

    (a) access to the start screen

    (b) press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you have a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)

    (c) search for Troubleshooting, click settings in the right-hand column.

    (d) click on troubleshooting. Click run programs made for previous versions of Windows

    (e) click on Next, select not listed. Click Next

    (f) click Browse and select the driver file you downloaded.

    (g) click on Next, click program troubleshooting

    (h) check the program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now

    (i) click next , select the latest OS known functional for this (probably Windows 7 driver

    (j) click Next

See the link which is shown below:

  • stream HP 11 x 360: Touchscreen on stream 11 x 360 does not work after 10 windows clean install

I did a clean install of windows 10 on my HP 11 x 360 stream, and now the touchscreen does not work. Under system, it says 'no pen or touch input' and there is no driver touch screen not listed under HID in the Device Manager. It worked when windows 8.1 has been installed and it still works in the BIOS. None of what follows has worked previously:

    reset

    several windows updates

several updates using HP support assistant

looking through the list of 8.1 windows HP drivers (apparently not all list a touch screen driver)

looking through the list of drivers for windows 10 HP that was recently added.

Either by the way, I was about to Flash the BIOS when I noticed that the version on the Web site is f2, and mine is f4. I don't know what that means. I end by flashes, however.

I remember seeing what I thought, he was a pilot of the touchscreen when you look under programs and features in windows 8.1 before the upgrade. I think it was called magic something or other...

Microsoft Web site indicate that windows touch support in the oven, so I don't know why it is a problem.

    Update:

I installed the windows version 8.1 of 'Serial IO driver without connected sleep Support Intel' and he's got the touch screen works, but the accelerometer does not always work.

  • Ethernet controllers and network does not work after reinstillation on Dell Inspiron mini.

I don't know what to do. The computer that I'm not talking is not connect to internet at all. Whenever I am trying to reinstall the drivers, I get a message saying: it can't find the driver. I tried to download this from official website of intel and load it into my laptop via USB, and I get the message that no adapters intel are presnt. Take note of the fact that I am on the plan technology challanged and that it is probably just an id10t error. Please I really need help. It is also on Windows XP Home Edition.

You must visit the support Dell for Inspiron model Web site. you will find the correct drivers for all your hardware, not just networking. You're probably missing other drivers too.

  • Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 does not work with the charger. Charger is not recognized. No problem with charger.

My Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 does not recognize charger. And unfortunately my warranty expired 2 months ago.
It was plugged and work in the morning, but then in the afternoon I noticed he was running on battery only. It does not start without battery (charger just plugged).

1 this is what I did to debug. Me and my brother, we bought the same computers Dell laptops at the same time a year and a bit ago. That's why a debugging purposes, it was good.
I took my charger and plugged into his computer. And it works. Certainly not the charger problem I guess. And when I plug the charger my computer, green light is still on the charger. And I have the original charger provided with the laptop.

    2. now, laptop is running on battery only, so that means that this motherboard works. I think so.

    3. the next thing I did was charger disconnected and removed the battery from the laptop. Then I pushed and hold the "Power" button for 45 seconds to pay a royalty to the flea market. Charger plugged in but laptop will not start.

    4. then I booted the laptop on battery, went to the BIOS and check if the charger is recognized in the BIOS. No, it does not recognize charger. So, if this isn't a charger so what else can we?

5 laptop has no strange smells so I don't know if something happened with the motherboard, but I guess that motherboard is ok because it works battery.

    6. I was thinking of updating the BIOS, but I can't do it, because it will be not be updated then the laptop runs on the battery, it needs to be plugged.

Now I'm stuck. I don't know what I can do. I'm willing to spend a little more money on it to try to fix.

If someone had such a problem in the past please let me know what you have done and if it fixed it.
Or if anyone has any other ideas, I will be happy and appreciated the help.

Hello and sorry for this late post. Just had this problem... If there is nothing wrong with the AC adapter, it's a software problem.

Close the laptop... Unplug the AC adapter / CC... Remove the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Go to the control panel... Find and select the Device Manager... Batteries, left click... Uninstall Microsoft AC Adapter, uninstall Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method... In fact, uninstall all you can under the batteries, but that should be all there is. It will be re - install when starting... Stop cell phone... Remove the AC adapter / CC... Replace the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Now, everything should be good.

  • Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop computer. Connected battery does not support. Can I use the adapter of a computer Dell Inspiron 630 M laptop?

In the last 2 days I had a problem as indicated in the title of this post. The fault corrected itself 3 times, but still, it's back to "plugged in, not load.» I use the laptop (Windows Vista Home Premium; 32-bit) on the card without problem, I assume that the card itself is not defective.

I also have a Dell Inspiron 630 M laptop running Windows 7.  Can I use this card with the laptop of Vista, without causing damage to the Vista?  If it is safe to do so, and begins to charge the battery on Vista, this would indicate that the Vista adapter/charger has a kind of fault.

Hoping someone can give me some advice. Thank you.

Could be - or it could be the power supply.  See if the other card gives a link more solid.  If so, this is the plug of the adapter.  If it isn't, the decision-making within the system.

I did a clean install of windows 7 Home premium 64 on my dell inspiron duo 1090, returning 8.  This laptop does not have a disk drive or an Ethernet port.  I used Installer 64 bit of this Web site and the corresponding link.  http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_8-windows_install/can-i-revert-back-to-Windows-7-from-Windows-8/f8f5aaaa-8a18-4255-a6b2-5ecd6840d7ab

    Perform the following steps:

    ====================== Keyless Install ================================

How to make a 'Keyless Install"of Windows:

Boot from the DVD of Windows 7 disc or a USB flash drive that you created, and launch the installation.

After you have entered the user name and password that you will be asked:
"Type your Windows product key", do not enter a key.
Also located just below the box where you enter the key is a box with a check mark
to "Automatically activate Windows when I'm online", remove the check box and click "next".

You now have a 30-day grace period to activate Windows.

During the grace period, you can install your device drivers,
run Windows updates and solve other problems or issues.
Once you are satisfied everything is working properly, and then activate Windows.

  • Inspiron 15R SE 7520 video card does not work after update Windows 8.1

The internal graphics are Intel HD 4000 and the graphics card is a Radeon HD M 7730. After update for Windows 8.1 almost everything worked, except that it only uses the integrated Intel graphics card. Now, the resolution is not right and parts of the interface Windows look rather mediocre in comparison.

    What I tried:

    • Uninstalling the video card drivers
    • Reinstall the drivers for the video card in Dell
    • Install the latest beta drivers directly on the AMD website
    • Disabling the integrated Intel graphics card
    • Uninstall the Intel integrated graphics card

    So now what?

  • [Inspiron SE 7720] UEFI boot from USB does not work

    Hello

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 special edition. It came with a Windows preinstalled 8 (up to 64 bits and mandatory boot UEFI). I want to use Linux (specifically, Archlinux) for the work and Windows for games, so double boot is necessary.

I'm almost finished installing Linux except for the boot loader: I need to start Linux from UEFI and has failed to do so far. Here's what I did after I got the PC:

    • Secure Boot disabled;
    • updated the BIOS to the version A12 (maybe I shouldn't...);
    • resized the main Windows partition and created a few partitions for Linux;
    • legacy startup mode and managed to start an installation of Archlinux MBR bootable USB drive.
    • most of the system installed
    • switched back to UEFI boot mode, Secure Boot off.

At the moment, I needed the UEFI kernel startup Setup Bootstrapper to have access to the EFI environment variables. So I created an installation of Archlinux UEFI-bootable USB drive (with a FAT partition) but so far I could not able to boot successfully to this car of UEFI instead of Windows 8.

I think I tried every single combination, such as:

    • different USB ports;
    • different startup entries created with F2 installation boot, with different parameters.
    • different commands for start-up entries;
    • has hit my startup entries directly in the F12 boot menu.

Anything in the startmode of the system always the Windows partition UEFI.

Also, I couldn't find any relevant documentation manual or software on the A12 BIOS on the Dell site, I missed something?

The solution that the user described in this thread for UEFI boot on a DVD has not worked for me with a USB key.

If anyone had the same problem or has a solution or even information about it? UEFI is really starting to give me headaches on this machine!

    Thank you for reading.

Try to go into the Advanced Boot Options.   Hold down the SHIFT key while as a RESTART to win 8.  This will get you to a page that will have an option called "Other devices" (from memory).    Choose that and you will have all features of the device as USB. First of all give it a try and I'm sure there is an easier way to start Linus directly more later.
