[dell vostro 5460] wifi problem

I bought a dell vostro 5460 and wifi is unstable, my wifi speed is 160 kb/s usually down to 15 kb/s and then a few seconds up to 160 kb/s, well that are not my laptop from a friend. I have Setup all readers for my servicetag on the dell website, but it does not improve.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks for the view.

Hi StarREDzz,

I would ask to uninstall you the drivers completely wireless.

1. start the Control Panel, click hardware and sound and then click on Device Manager.

2. expand the node that represents the type of device you want to uninstall, right click on the entrance to the unit and click on uninstall.

3. in the dialog box confirm the device removal, click OK to start the uninstall process

4. when the uninstall is complete, remove the device.

(Note: remove a Package of drivers.) On the dialog box confirm the device removal, click the button remove the software driver for this device option to remove the driver package that has been used for the unit)

Reinstall the drivers by following this link

http://Dell.to/19zbTzI

Kick punch in the number of your service. Choose the right card and install the drivers.

1. double click on the wireless Intel Centrino Device Manager card to go to its properties
2. click on advanced > adapter settings > Advanced tab.
3. Windows 7 or 8 *: select the transmitting power, change the value to 5. Highest.
4. set the aggressiveness of homelessness in medium-low

Restart the system once you make the changes.

  • Dell Vostro 1520 / formatting now WiFi NOT work...

    Hello

I formatted my Dell Vostro 1520 and now the wifi does not work, I get an exclamaition mark on my device manager...

    Thanks in advance

When you perform a clean installation of Windows (which is what I assume you are talking about "formatted my Dell Vostro), you must reinstall all hardware drivers.

If you have used a method of restoration costs of factory Dell, then drivers for integrated hardware would have been included.

    So...

If you used a CD to install Windows XP to do a clean install of windows AND your wifi adapter is built into your computer, go to the Dell Support, enter your Service tag, download drivers for your computer.  Note: you must proceed even if your wifi adapter is not integrated into your computer, because you must install drivers for other devices on your computer.

If your wifi adapter is NOT integrated with your computer, visit the website of the manufacturer of the adapter, and download the appropriate driver.

  • HDD problem Dell Vostro 3550

    I use a Dell Vostro 3550 running Windows 7 64 bit since may, 2012.

Recently, on running the Dell Diagnostics, it shows that the hard [Samsung HM500JJ] has no 'targeted reading Test ". More recently, when I run scan on the hard, the system stops and restarts.

I ran diagnostics from the ePSA which also shows an error code "'2000-0146 [Msg: hard drive 0 - S/N S2APJ1KB704677, self-test log contains previous errors]."

This means certainly I need to replace my hard drive or I say otherwise?

I even ran the QuickTest online, but this time too the system crashed. I'm afraid that something is seriously wrong with the hard drive.

Y at - it another option to replace the hard drive?

    My warranty expired last December.

    Hi Shireeshmehta,

Yes, you certainly need to replace the hard drive. If you do not receive a reinstallation of Windows 7 with your system drive, call Dell and they can provide you with one, you will need to install the operating system on the new drive. I have a link below for a very complete Windows reinstallation guide.

I hope that people who have this problem in the future, you read this before you follow Ricky RockStars because he has mental health problems. After having seen his reply here and then others and it is how wildly incorrect, I did some research. I saw one of his messages on a forum from another site where he calls himself, "master of puppets" and he said he finds his answers on google. Dell isn't the only place to take responses at random to see if a stick, said. Apparently, he did that on ' yah * answers "and others, also. It is not a true expert, and instead of saying that he doesn't know, he barks just the random directions to try to solve problems or problems which can still be fixed, as it did here. He loves the power of the people who listen to him. He really has no idea what she's doing. He just googles your problem and tells you what it finds, as if he knew. The problem with is that if you have already done this, he will find the same wrong information makes you or even worse information as he did here. I saw a lot of his answers and about half are correct, 1/3 are wrong and just wasting peoples time, and the other 1/6 are harmful. Look at what happened here. He should have just said what I say below, but instead of that he had a back and forth for days because he loves control.  Seriously, I don't understand how Dell allows this to happen. It is everywhere in their forums, which gives bad advice, and using people as the 'puppets' in his weird game to control the actions of others.

    Here's the real answer:

Dell Vostro 3550 does not support WiFi 5 Ghz network connections. There is nothing you can do to address this problem in addition to changing the hardware (go out and buy a 5 GHz USB adapter).

  • WiFi problem after upgrade to Windows 10

    Greetings!

I read a few posts on WiFi problems after the (improper) upgrade of Windows 10. I have a ThnkPad T530 which I've upgraded to Windows 10 Windows 7 in September (too late to roll back). Here's my question:

I have three computers on my desk. This standard T530 running Windows 10, a ThnkPad E555 running Windows 7 and a Dell running Windows 8. I used all three last Friday. I installed Norton on all three Friday and everything went without a hitch. When I first started their return to the top of this morning, the two others came online as usual. The ThinkPad T530 connected by a router in the company, but has no access to the internet. I can connect to the hotspot on my phone and it connects fine. I tried to turn the WiFi connection and then turn it on again, restart, by killing and restarting the business connection, etc. Nothing changes.

    Help, please

    Ben

    Try the following:

Repost: What were the problems you are experiencing that you thought that a "new facility" could solve?

The foregoing notwithstanding, and since you neglected to install an antivirus application...

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

    Hello

    Troubleshoot camera connection
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

You probably need to recharge the device drivers and camera control software (usually included
with the drivers and installed at the same time).

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Manually look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).

You can download the drivers for the touchpad from following link:

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=W732&catid=7&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=VOS_N_1015&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=False

Method 2: Try these steps described in the article in support of Dell and check if it helps.

Mouse, keyboard or the Touchpad works not properly:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?docid=277550

Note: Follow the steps for the "Troubleshooting a keyboard or a touch pad integrated into the laptop.

If the problem persists, then it would be best to contact Dell for assistance.
